Case closed I guess

With that contrast, it would be a very crappy system if it couldnt track it ;) The range is whats most interesting, but I have a feeling we wont get that info.

Talking about Independence Day, why the &%*# do they use AAM on that super-duper large space ship? Isnt it better just to launch Cruise missiles or bomb with 2000lbs bombs?

The US have more F-22 then China has J-10. I fail to see the single F-22 face 10 J-10 + 6 JXX in a scenario. :) If china would suddenly go to war and mass produce J-10 and J-XX (yeah, right...), Im sure the US can follow. I would go "heavier is better" any day of the week for the air superiority mission. You can have more fuel, larger (better) sensor-stuff, more payload etc. And regarding the passive sensors on the LWF; what if the enemy decides to go passive as well :megalol:

Source? Point remains though, ABL could potentially do the job better ;) Either way, defense against ballistic missiles is a very tough business.

IIRC, the officials said that the patriots were able to "intercept" X number of Scuds, but none of them were destroyed. In other words, the patriots did fire at a lot of Scuds, but didnt hit shit....

For a theory to be accepted, it should be repeatable by others who are completely objective. These links that you gave us point only to "lonewolfs" (so to speak) that sits in their own laboratory and does some funny things. Cold fusion anyone?? ;)

You keep making analogies to religion, but fail to see that science is the exact opposite. It's open to change and adaptations as long as things are PROVEN, something your pseudo-physics have failed miserably at... Whatever point you're trying to make is not going through to me, sorry.

The thing AS, is that no one in 1910 could prove anything about bending light, so it was just general opinion that one couldn't. Once someone proved it, the discussion was pretty much over. In your case, you're arguing against some of the most fundamental theories in physics regarding energy, which have been proven over and over again.

ROFL!!! :megalol: This comment made my day! :D One cant say Im often in agreement with GG ;) but this is one of those few time when I am. AS, you seem to have little to none understanding of what an proven scientific theory actually is. Cheers

The ABL isnt designed for ICBMs. More like TBMs, like Scuds in GW1, where the patriots were unable destroy any of the missiles... Just place an AL-1 on patrol when you've gained Air Supremacy and have some fighters guard it. Then it's just to burn the TBMs out of the sky as they lift off :)

RIP Not a good year for the Su-27 :(

Well, it doesnt matter what the F-22 can or cannot do, it was designed for A2A, so the bays were designed for AMRAAMs. F-35 on the other hand are designed for A2G, which is why it can take such a payload. I dont get why so many people are so pessimistic about the F-35. Since when are newer generation aircraft worse then the older ones? I believe the F-35 will do exceptionally good in it's main role, A2G. And for A2A, well, thats what the F-22 are for... ;)
-
SDB racks host 4 bombs. And those racks are designed to be of the same size as an Mk84/GBU31. So if the F-35 can stack up 2 internal GBU31s, then it can carry 8xSDBs internally. Plus the 2 Slammers ofc.
-
The way I see it, the F-35 is better equipped for the A2G role. And because of that, it will give the pilot better SA and hence, less blue-on-blue....

Landing on one side is a well-known crosswind technique. However, this one seems quite excessive :) Here's some examples: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Southwest-Airlines/Boeing-737-7H4/1242626/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Southwest-Airlines/Boeing-737-3H4/1341801/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Southwest/De-Havilland-Canada/0784268/L/

But the Boomers wont try to seek out other subs. They'd rather avoid them altogether (and not use any torpedoes). ;)

The US wasnt at war in 87, and they probably felt a little too comfortable and decided to have a maintenance day. Who would be stupid enough to engage an US frigate, right? :music_whistling:

In the 51st Server, if you have an "illegal" payload, you only get the exit prompt over and over again. So you wont be able to spool up. GBUs on A10 will not work unless you have a target designated in advanced, so in most missions, this would be useless anyway. AFAIK, the Mk-82 snake-eyes mod uses PB-250 bombs, which would indeed be an illegal payload in most servers!

My thought as well :)

Looking very good!
