TACT 21-1 RULES Only full fidelity modules are allowed. The match format is a 6 vs 6, best of three rounds air superiority mission. The tournament is open for virtual squadrons only. We recognize that not all squads can field 6 pilots (+ reserves) for every match. If a Team expects to be short on match day they are allowed to recruit up to 2 additional temporary pilots to complete the 6 plane roster. These extra pilots will be known as mercenaries. The mercenaries must not be squad members of the opposing team in the specific match. Mercenaries do not need to be included in the signup. Bullseye will be centered between the starting airfields. Surrounding bullseye, there will be an engagement bubble, 90 nm in diameter. AWACS will be available in each mission. Each round consists of one sortie per pilot. If a pilot lands, he/she cannot take off again*. After being shot down or crashing, the player must leave the server until the round ends. Each round is won if one of the two mission criterias is achieved. i) All of the opposing planes are destroyed ii) if a team has total air superiority in the bubble for 5 min. At least 1 aircraft must land after the mission criteria is reached. To promote combat and active engagements, the remaining pilots must land at the opposing team’s airbase. Returning to one’s own airbase is considered a loss of that aircraft. If a pilot disconnects while in the air, they are considered dead and must leave the server for that round. Weapon restrictions: No 9X and No nukes. Violations of the payload rule will lead to an automatic loss of that round. Jester is allowed, changing planes between rounds is allowed No stream sniping Known DCS bugs and exploits must not be used to gain an advantage. Examples include (but not limited to) current ECM modelling, Flood mode launches, PH Active switch. Teams should avoid unfriendly or unsportsmanlike behavior. Not every rule can be explicitly stated and teams should fly to the spirit of the competition. *A quick RTB is allowed before combat has started to resolve INS or payload issues. Have fun and enjoy!

TACT 21-1 Tactical Air Combat Tournament Tactical Air Combat Tournament, TACT, is an air-to-air competition among DCS squadrons with a high emphasis on PVP. It's designed to run over a couple of months in a championship type format (exact details will depend on the amount of teams that sign up). The plan is to live stream as many matches as possible. Results submission Match results shall be submitted by the winner in the TACT discord (results and tacviews). Any disputes will be resolved among team representatives in the TACT discord. Hey, here's my contributions for the competition. F-14A: NSAWC Aggressor #19 "Felon" This is a fictional top gun (NSAWC) skin based on present day aggressor skins found on Hornets and Vipers. The real life Su-57 (NATO reporting name: Felon) also sports a similar livery, which is the reason for the naming. For now I'll post the skin in private to @ensamvarg . I'll release it to the user files upon conclusion of the competition

It's you that is bringing negative vibes here, basically telling people not to submit their skins because you have a preference for something else. Submit your own historically correct skins if you want, but don't trash on others.

@IronMike I think you might want to clarify the original post then. It says: To me that sounds like at least 7 screenshots but preferably more. It also goes against using your mission as that is NOT full daylight. IMHO, the dusk lighting skews the real colors of the skin too much, so you don't get the real tones. There's also this: ​​​ That's not true than, as we are to use the mission provided, right? Finally, just for clarification, is the deadline 11th January (13 Nov +59 days), or the 12th (13 Nov + 60 days)?

Thanks all for participating. I enjoyed it a lot once again. I've had some really busy days so I couldn't sort everything I wanted in advanced, especially planning for Blue. A lot of sign ups was withdrawn and switched in the last 24hrs and it apparently caused some issues for Red. This is an issue that's been present throughout my years of doing DCS events (10+ years). There's simply nothing to be done about drop offs unless you start forcing people to fly other things or stopping them to fly all together. In the end, there's nothing at stakes for this event other than fun of flying. If we see a 5th installment, I hope we have a better turn up. Both sides have targets to destroy and taking them out will give you a significant amount of points. In order for a objective to be counted, the following criteria need to be fulfilled. IRAN Weapons facility: Destroy at least 15 buildings and the power plant. IRAN Army group: Destroy at least 90% of the units in the target area. IRAQ Forward command post: Destroy the Command post, fuel tanks and helicopter. IRAQ Army group: Destroy at least 90% of the units in the target area. PERSIAN GULF 1985-4 22 vs 18 PVP Event September 19th 2000z Persian Gulf 1985-4 is a 22 vs 18 PVP event. The event takes inspiration from the Iraq-Iran conflict in the 80's, where Iraqi MiGs faced Iranian american-made aircraft. The mission is set up to be asymmetrical to simulate the non-balanced nature of a real conflict. This is the fourth edition of this event series. The coalitions will be BLUE: 6 x F-14, 8 x F-5 and 4 x Su-25A* RED: 6 x MiG-29A, 2 x M2000C**, 10 x MiG-21 and 4 x Su-25A *Iran didn't fly Su-25s until after the war. ** Iraq flew Mirage F1s. The M2k simulates this. Red will have numerical advantage in both aircraft and missiles while Blue holds the equipment advantage. Who will win? I have the exact same experience. The bandit doesn't have to notch, a simpl jink lext or right is enough. I would think the track should be a bit more resilient and maybe be avle to correlate the old and the new as being the same...
