Thanks for your responses, I was looking for what the air defence of a convoy in RL would be, and to follow that placement in LO's ME. Peyoteros, she says hi back.
-
Does any one know if the Russian convoys follow a order of vehicle placement, such as the accompanying SAMs or AAA. Would they be at the lead, second from the lead, or the last man bringing up the rear ?

Thanks for all your ideas. I have to try some of them. Yesterday we had some storms come through, power went off ( no computer ). Now I have a lot of clean up to do, Tree limbs came down and mud in the driveway. On top of that its my first day back to work, been on vacation.

Sorry, it won't work, she can't even turn a computer on. I was at work and needed some info from the computer, I talk her through it untill it came to clicking on the screen, she could not control the curser, turns out she was holding the mouse like a tv remote pointing it at the monitor, and now more than ever wants no part of it. PS, she 57 and I'm 54, married for 23 years

To all the married pilots, how do you fly? With my wife I can only fly when she is not home or asleep. Before I log on to Hyperlobby I ask, do you need any thing, which she answers no go have fun. Then I reminder her there is no pause button and once I’m on the server its do not disturb time, she say again “ok go have fun” Then just as I’m log in, and loaded in a server I hear “Honey I need this or that.” I also tell her that if she hears me talking it’s to other pilots on the computer, which she replies ok I won’t bother you. Then when I say something, I hear from the other room “What did you say”:helpsmilie: Any suggestions. 1, she does not like to shop, so I can’t send her to the mall. 2, she does not work, no staying late at the office. 3, she has ADD (attention deficit disorder) so no movies, long TV, or reading books

What I did was to center the rotaries, then using a marker I made a line through the rotarie to the body. A quick glance to the throttle to see if the lines are lined up, if so they are center.

Low on RAM, I went from 1 gig to 2 gigs of RAM, it was like a new computer. -
Man, I don't want go up against one of them, or do I ? Thanks for the video.:)

Thanks for all the replies, :) I was half wrong about the ground 15 on the RWR, after reflying the mission the 15 lit up then the BB lit along with a few CS, there must be a number a SAM sits around the area. On the old 169th Black Sea Battles missions, I became very good at evading the SA-11, untill they ran out, then pounce for the kill. Can't seem to do the same with the SA-10.
-
So its safe to say if a SA-10 is in the area, I'm dead meat.
-
 How can I defeat or survive a SA-10 launch in a A-10 ? I'm usually at between 8 to 12 thousand feet. When I see a ground 15 on the RWR, I hit the ECM, put it on my 6, and run unsucessfully, and other times I don't have any warning then WAM its ejection time. The debriefing shows its a SA-10 that got me.

A few times when loading, it stoped at the Starforce window, I found out if the slider or rotaries on my X52 are not center, it stops Starforce.

When I go t to the 169th site I get this: ownz by zakix Linux server1.solid-hosting.org 2.6.19.7-grsec-r3 #1 SMP Mon Apr 23 21:54:39 EEST 2007 i686 uid=99(nobody) gid=99(nobody) groups=99(nobody) And at HL there 4 green bars after there server name, and when I hit join this game I get a plain Lockon Mission Editor screen. Hope they come back soon.

The same thing happen to me, and it drove me crazy. I tryed this and that untill I was blue in the face. Then by accident I found if the rotaries ( use for trim ) and the slide button ( Zoom ) was not center on my X52, I recived the Star Force Error window, and / or after the Star Force window appear the computer lock up, and then I had to do a force shutdown and start over. Hope this helps.

Have you tried logging on through Hyperlobby ? -
I put a shortcut to the PilotLogBook on my desktop, its faster to access it than to go though the UBI / ED / LO /etc. folders. Open Pilots XML with notepad, using the right mouse click. Find your name follow the type to were it reads, status = , if it's a 0 your dead, change it to 1 you come back alive. When you close the window a box will appear, changes were made, click yes.

In SP there are maps and external views that show latitude and longitude. As I 'm just starting to fly in Hyperlobby, Were the maps and external views are disabled. I getting lost especially in the mountians. I print out a map and use landmarks, lakes, rivers, etc. to try to find were I am. I take note of the headings and used them to get back on course after going combat or to find home plate. I fly the A-10. In the game the CDU, control display unit in the right console, shows a stationary display. The Firchild A-10 pilot's flight operating instructions manual, states the it will show ongoing latitude and longitude readings. In short how to you guys know were you are ? HELP !!

I'm suprise that the Saitek could not help you. I broke the plug off my cable that connects the stick to the throttle, email them, ask them for a price for a new cable. I got a email from them asking for my address so they could send me a cable at NO CHARGE ! not even shipping. Four days later the cable was in my mailbox. Did you ask Saitek themself or were you brought the X52 ? also try the Saitek sales site and explained what part you need, they might be better than the support site to deal with parts.

Some info cross posted from the Russian Forums

I know that a lot of pilots would like have the F-14 modeled, but since this aircraft is now retired, would't your resourses be better aimed to actual flying aircraft. -
[Semi-OT] Russia launches three GLONASS satellites
herig2 replied to Stealth_HR's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If negotiations with Russian, NASA, and ESA are forth coming there will be one planet, as in Star Trek. Not good for LOMAC pilots, ( no one to fight ) but it will be good for everyone else.
