With these rig specs you wanna spend only 30 bucks on the flight stick? Thats weak if you ask me... It's like listening to these http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f1/Tdkc60cassette.jpg in this http://www.swotti.com/tmp/swotti/cacheYM13IG02QXV0B21VDGLVBI1DYXJZ/imgBMW%20M62.jpg

Normaly you set all those things before you take off, but if you need it why not? The whole point of HOTAS is to have ESSENTIALS on the stick so you can fly and fight without letting the controls of your hands. Setting all things from start up procedure on HOTAS would be awesome, no need to touch KB at all, wicked. What I'm saying is that one must understand what is usefull to have on the HOTAS and what is useless, but it takes a time to understand.

If you'll set barometric altimeter it will hold altitude above sea level, if you fly below 300 meters you can set radar altimeter and it will follow the ground.

How the AI should NOT fly (quite a few pics inside)
Peyoteros replied to tdar's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Set correct formation, so your wingman is at the safe distance from you. Assign the task to your wingman so it's busy engaging enemy, not repositioning him self according to what you're doing... Bare in mind that the wingman is trying to keep formation, so it's your responsibility to avoid midair collisions too. Because heli have no sudden brakes you must be careful when doing dangerous manoeuvres. You shouldn’t put all in flight safety on your wingman alone, you must be cautious too. After all it’s only AI… -
It's incompatible with LOFC

Should I buy: Logitech , Saitek or Thrustmaster ?
Peyoteros replied to jib's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It all depends on what you know about your flight stick and how you use it. Just red some posts which stated that Logitech and Saitek are garbage... Well I disagree... Personally I use X52Pro, same stick for two and a half years and have no a single problem... But then, it's because I had two X52 before my X52Pro and I've learned weak points of the Saitek and with keeping those in mind X52Pro serves just fine. Wouldn't want anything else. -
If there is any sim around worth of buying it, no doubt that would be DCS BS. There are numerous reviews about the BS and there is nothing we have to do to persuade anyone in buying it, nor making anyone believe that sim is worth his money. There is only one way to find out about it and it is to get the sim. All what is possible to say about the sim is been said already. Not trying to be rude or something, just being honest and realistic.

Geez mon, it's not like you're buying the house or the trip to the space...

Next time post it in "Funny stuff"... That's it, I'm back to laughing...:megalol: Geez, that is funny, why I didn't noticed that before... mhmm, strange...

Try this before flying BS... Vibrations, vibrations... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lTbdg6TZlro&feature=related :P

Sure it would be awesome to have very real world in BS... But we must understand that our PC would choke no matter how advanced they are. I would love to have more detailed buildings, ships, grass, planes, ah, what the heck, everything, but as mentioned before we are bound to game engine capabilities. There are lots of things to be improved and they will be. Meanwhile we have what we have and I must tell, with all minuses I still love it very much!

Yeah, right... No comments on the video

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, depends on the mission ... -

Peyoteros replied to BaD CrC's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I love night missions and the snow storm, and low cloud cover and the fog all at once and a lot of it. As less I can see the more exiting I get, the more challenge the bigger satisfaction... Tuning NVG sensitivity and lights in the cockpit (HUD, ABRIS) is essential, so, set it up before you take off. Uploaded setup screen just in case you're missing some controls. -
Come on now... Sent your flight to engage bandits, your wingman’s will sort them out like pigeons sorts out sunflower seeds... Wingman’s will report Hinds approaching (don't mix it with Su25, they will get sorted by Su27), so as soon as your wingman’s reports Hinds, sent your flight to engage them, type in: # F1 F1 F3 and "problem" sorted. Easy peezy... Good luck.
