  1. I too doubt it will ever happen, but adding my +1 to this just on the off chance customer feedback in this regard is the metric they need to push this towards consideration.
  2. As much as a new contract might be needed for ED to develop an updated module due to the previous one, would the same stipulation exist for a third party to come in and create a newer version? Would ED even allow it as a newer suite would potentially devalue a first party product? I'd love to have a proper discussion launched with ED on this topic, maybe once current priorities are addressed. As it stands, the limitations of our ugly old hawg make it a less and less attractive purchase compared to the F18, that once it has it's TGP will be able to do almost everything the 'hog can do, but faster and arguably better (minus the gun and overall stores capacity).
  3. I too would pay ££'s for an updated suite, heck even a new module, the 'hog was my first and is still my most loved module, even with the F18 and F14 in my virtual hanger. Something about loading up a heavy, slow, beast of a plane to deliver tactical strikes where they're needed while still relying on the rest of your forces to provide air cover on your way in and out instead of being some multi-role, do it all yourself supersonic dart, it just feels a bit more authentic and I can enjoy the atmosphere more in our slow old beast.
  4. Can confirm it was fixed for me last night. https://imgur.com/6c0qg8x
  5. any idea if this has been fixed in today's release, despite not being on the change list?
  6. Throwing my voice in here too, been a long time DCS player and in the last year or two been getting into the online, but stability is just not there, not to mention the issues community members are having hosting/buying multiple copies of modules to host etc. If DCS were to focus some attention onto MP, we could see this product, platform and genre into a new era, imagine a DCS with the capabilities and community of a similar level to ARMA. This will of course take a lot of time and effort and won't be a quick thing, but maybe get the community involved in these things, poll us, survey us, find out what matters to the community at large and put together a plan to address these items, even if it's a two, three, heck even five year plan, so long as we're included, I'm sure there will be plenty of good will and even offers to help. The DCS and flight sim community is uniquely positioned in that it has some immensely intelligent people, let's all pull together!
  7. If during orbit and target spotting there is time and no threats to deal with immediately, I'll usually mark targets with markpoints (TMS right short), set nav mode to Mark and then use the marks as SPI, that way I can fly my approach with the first target/mark locked, rifle, set HUD to SOI, DMS up to move to mark B, set as SOI&SPI, slave all, rifle, repeat. It sounds complex, but when you get the thoughts in order and do it a few times it becomes quite an easy process.
  8. FWIW, I'll add my +1 to this, I know it's unlikely we'll get an updated Hawg, but I'd love to know if the conversation has even been had around getting an updated suite modeled.
  9. I actually had a similar problem but I had taken out the enemies, told the helo to land, watched as it did and then circled for 20mins watching the pilot stand there like a lemon.
  10. Well roll on the 4th July!! Thanks so much for the reply, it's so encouraging to hear things are coming along nicely. I'm sure I speak for many when I say this can't come out soon enough, but please take your time, we all understand quality at the level you and the team have demonstrated is no small feat. I'd love for that mission to be available as a demo, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for news!
  11. I for one cannot wait for the A-10C Iron Flag campaign, ever since I saw the test on Youtube months ago I've been waiting on new info!
  12. Thanks for the quick replies, really value the feedback. I should add I also own the Black Shark module and would like to give rotary wing a try some time, with that in mind, are the Crosswinds still the holy grail?
  13. Hi All, Been playing DCS for a number of years now, focusing primarily on the A10 module. As I imagine many players have been, I've been upgrading and getting bits to help move from flying entirely digital with keyboard and mouse, over the years, starting with an X52, Track-IR, new GFX Card (GTX1070), TM Warthog...and now I'm onto the last component, that I've been telling myself I can live without for so long, Pedals. Looking around, I see the older Saitek pedals (pro flight and combat) are getting harder and harder to find, with prices creeping up on ebay, in the UK at least. I know Thrustmaster have the T-flight pedals, but I was concerned about the build quality due to the price, at least compared with other pedals. I've also seen the Crosswind pedals, and beautiful as they are, unless someone can convince me they'll change flight sims for ever, I probably can't justify their price to myself, let alone the other half!! So really, I'm looking for some advise and guidance from anyone who might be able to assist! Thanks in advance!
  14. Yeah, I was really worried it'd be an incompatibility or even worse a hardware issue. Now I've just got to try to get my HOTAS mapping sorted out and try to get the money up for a Track-IR! Thanks again, Really appreciate all the help.
  15. Hey Jarvelina, Thanks for your input, was very useful, I've now got my X52 powered and staying on, however I've run (predictably) into another issue, when running the driver installer it prompts to plug in the device, which it doesn't detect, leaving me stuck and unable to proceed. Any more advise?? ***EDIT*** OK! A bit more googling around and I found that it's a simple case of the SAITEK website sucking pretty hard and only offering the X52 PRO driver from the main drop down, the X52 non pro has to be selected from the Joysticks category drop down. Go figure. Thanks a lot everyone for your input, I think this might well be solved.
  16. Thanks for the replies, in the past I just used the X52 Pro drivers and it worked just fine on my previous Win8 machine. HiJack: My device has been plugged in to every USB port I have, USB2 and 3 ports, headed ports and back panel ports. If it's of any help, looking at the ! device in device manager, the event details read that SaiNtBus has the following: Device ROOT\PROGRAMMING_SUPPORT\0001 had a problem starting. Driver Name: oem15.inf Class Guid: {678DCF40-E2E6-11D5-8CD5-E960089EA00A} Service: SaiNtBus Lower Filters: Upper Filters: Problem: 0x1F Status: 0x0
  17. Hi all, Newly registered and struggling to type through the hair that I've been pulling out. I'm running Win 8.1 64Bit and I just can't seem to get my X52 (non pro) to work, I plug it in, it powers on for a few seconds and then powers off entirely. The IT Tech in me (my day job), recognizes this as likely a driver issue, and indeed checking device manager I see a yellow ! on "Programmable Root Enumerator" which has the details as being a Mad Catz driver. The device status is: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API. Trying a scan for hardware changes on right click within device manager powers the device back up again for a few seconds, so I'm pretty convinced it isn't a hardware failure. Looking for any and all assistance with this, I'm slowly going mental here! :joystick: Thanks All
