  1. Thanks for the info, picked up a H50 at best buy today and just finished installing it. Idle temps on my 6400+ went from around 55C down to 26C. I also mounted the radiator outside the case, took the fan off of it and mounted it right in front of my tornado desk fan :D I'm going to see how close to 4.0GHz i can get now:music_whistling:
  2. lol, fair enough
  3. F-22 Total Air War? Possibly?
  4. Welcome to the world of the Paveway II :P Their flight path is one big back and forth wobble because the guidance computer can only command full deflection of the canards in either direction (known as "bang bang" control) Whereas the newer Paveway III's have proportional guidance, which results in a smoother flight path and expends less energy
  5. Hey Revelation, how do you like that H50? I'm trying to decide between the Thermaltake Spin-Q and the H50. I'm just not sure how well a $80 water system would perform :ermm:
  6. Your CPU is definitely your biggest bottleneck right now. Up until 3 days ago, my setup was this: Win7 64 Ultimate ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AMD 6400+ 3.2GHz Dual-Core 4Gb Corsair XMS2 8800GTS 512Mb I was able to run most settings on med - high and have everything be smooth except in real dense areas. I have sense upgraded to a GTX470 1280Mb card and saw a moderate increase in performance. But like everyone has said repeatedly, sims are mainly CPU intensive because there is so much going on "behind the scenes" for the systems and avionics. For about the same price as a GTX 460, you can get a AMD Phenom 3.5GHz Quad-Core, or whatever the intel equivalent is (i'm not an intel person ;) ) and i think you will see a much bigger performance increase. I'm not sure how overclockable the Duo's are, but i know i can get my 3.2 OC'ed to close to 3.6GHz with a good air cooler and close to 4.0 with water. So you might be able to spend $50-$70 on a nice cooler and get that 2.4 up to a 3.0.
  7. I've almost smashed into a mountain a couple times because i had the TGP locked onto something and i was watching the pod camera track around while maneuvering the aircraft :megalol:
  8. wait until the beta is updated to include voices..lol:thumbup:
  9. I'm sure a lot of you guys have seen this already, but for those that haven't..this shows you how intense A-10 support can get. I got chills the first time i watched this just from listening to the guys on the ground. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szX45PdUOmo
  10. I've been flying Falcon for ages..the only reason i've stayed with it so long was because of the extremely high fidelity of the systems. Now we have that fidelity along with amazing graphics. 90% of the sorties i fly in falcon are strike missions anyway, so i think the a-10 will replace it very nicely ;)
  11. I'm running FF5.51 with Win7 64 and an Nvidia 8800gts and it runs pretty stable. You need to download the new beta drivers, then...in your freefalcon folder...find FFViper.exe and rename it to FalconAF.exe Don't forget to change the target line in your desktop shortcut, if you have one ;) It sounds wierd and i was skeptical at first..but renaming the exe fools the drivers into thinking it's allied force (which the beta driver now supports) The only issue i've noticed is that the munitions screen will not display correctly if you have any antialiasing turned on. But you can turn that off with nHancer when you want to change your stores, then re-enable it before you fly. I had that issue even with XP 32-bit, so that's nothing new anyway.
  12. Pavlos hit it right on the head, when you use the cheat start..it leaves the ralt/balt switch in the neutral(off) position. You need to flip that switch either up or down..make sure "ALT" AP button is lit and the FD button is off. Auto-hover will then work.
  13. When i land, i land a little short of where i actually want to, center the trim, roll forward a few feet to center the nose wheel, then apply the wheel brakes. This way i know the nose wheel is straight when i want to take off again.
  14. Yea, you're moving in too close to the screen and the TrackIR camera can't see the clip anymore, so it automatically centers itself to the default position. I have one of the rotators on my cougar setup as a zoom axis, so i look where i need to and instead of leaning inwards towards the monitor, i just zoom in with the wheel. Works very well for locking up targets with the Shkval. I don't believe pausing the TrackIR will work when you go outside the range of the camera anyway. Once it can't find the clip on your head, it centers itself.
  15. I usually don't post unless i can add something constructive to the thread....but i just have to add this: :lol::lol:
  16. understandable...thank you
  17. Any luck contacting anyone GG? Hopefully, since you are a beta tester, they will listen to you. The fact that the server is screwed up is mildly understandable..but the fact that we haven't even gotten a "yea, we know about it and are currently working on it" post from an admin is just rediculous. On top of the fact that they seem to be ignoring emails send to them about this. I can already see that this company, either does not care about or, is extremely lacking in the customer support area. I don't care if something is broken, but at least have the common courtesy to acknowledge the fact that it is, indeed, broken by either returning emails or posting a response on the forum. Either one of which would take less than 5 minutes.
  18. same problem here as well Order Number: TXNEJF9ACINBMBEDF2
