  1. "Mid 90s F-14B" => Could it mean that we are going to get the Bombcat update for the F-14 B, which would be the F-14B(upgrade) version?:music_whistling:
  2. The NTTR map is indeed full of opportunity.
  3. Just...WOW! How can you live up to all the people's expectations like that Leatherneck Simulations, I've always wondered :) You are universally pleasing everyone with this update, keep it up!
  4. Well, not really. The F-14, even in its A version is a fourth generation fighter and it is way more capable, versatile and agile than the MiG-21 (in all its variants). It is a fleet defender, a MiG-21 would have no chance against a Tomcat piloted by someone with knowledge. From a distance of 180km the Tomcat would be able to shoot down a MiG-21 thanks to the AIM-54 Phoenix weapon system that it carries. In other words, the MiG-21 is outclassed on every aspect, whether it be its radar capability, load or range capacity.

  6. Hey cuervo111. The C-101EB is still in a beta state and is currently only available in SFM. That would explain why the aircraft behavior isn't exactly the same as it would be in real life. The AFM will be released at a later date, it's still in development. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2248962&postcount=23 However, remember that the SFM is still close enough to the aircraft behavior in real life, as some developers stated it already. The C-101 is, besides its CAS capabilities, an aerobatic aircraft which means it's very manoeuvrable.

  8. So what? You're gonna whine about it, while, yourself, couldn't even do the tiniest chunk of the work that has been put into the Mig-21 bis. Please, learn to read, the Mig-21 Bis was released as a BETA. It has been discussed many, many, many times, in the "Major MiG-21 issues" thread. Bringing your parasiting posts here wont change the slightest thing. Also, it seems that you can't achieve to understand the very concept of a product being in "beta". A product in a beta state means that it successfully evolved from an EARLY alpha stage to a more advanced beta stage, yet it is NOT the FINAL and COMPLETE stage. This being said, we can assume that Leatherneck Simulations' devs are still working hard on their product ; tweaking it, and improving it with great enhancements, thanks to the players' feedbacks, who are experiencing new issues whilst flying in the MiG pit'. There is no way of knowing about such issues and fixing them if one does not experience them beforehand. You guys were literally lunging for the release of the module and now that you have it, you should maybe start to support them and be constructive, instead of being NEGATIVE. It's the first DCS-Level russian fixed-wings aircraft available for the simulation platform and it is yet to be fully completed, if you're not happy with the product and if you can't understand the fact that it's not the final product, you might as well strap yourself back in the seat of the SFM Su-33 or the MiG-29. (Quick note: The beta state of the MiG-21 is clearly shown here : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/mig21bis/ )
  9. The BIS actually can, it is mentionned that PFM and above can. http://www.mig-21.de/english/technicaldataarmament.htm "All single-seaters from PFM on"
  10. the MiG-21 used the KH-66 alot actually, and the weapon was designed for it and the MiG-23, it is not a fictional weapon.
  11. Definitely not on your end. Getting the same problem over here. I hope this maintenance is for the greater good of DCS :) (like 2.0 :music_whistling:)
  12. Bump. Keep posting! I will post some new screenshots soon, I think I've got something in mind and you'll like it!
  13. I guess Mike doesn't blame you for it  Sorry for that little joke. Yeah the TDC and NPP do not behave properly sometimes. I found myself having troubles with the axes too.
  14. It's fine we understood what you were trying to say overall ;). I agree with you that without all those devoted members that are both roaming the forums and the simulation platform itself, DCS World wouldn't be what it is as of now.
  15. I have to admit that the render generated by the screenshots of the aircraft taken at dusk looks super good . Why didn't I think about doing the same thing before:doh:?
  16. Truly amazing screenshots! thank you for sharing!!!!
  17. Nice one! It'll be my desktop wallpaper for now :pilotfly:!
  18. Thank you Corvus, it's true that I've forgotten to mention this option, which is the easiest of them all. Quick reminder, using slow-motion tracks to take your screenshots is still the best way to take accurate screenshots like in-cockpit screenshots or under-carriage screenshots.
  19. Hey Tusler, thank you for the compliment :D. I was able to zoom that much with accuracy simply because those screenshots were taken from a replay. Even if you're not watching a replay, you can zoom that much by using the F11 camera view, which will first be in vicinity of the major airports, thus you'll have to find the aircraft that you want to screenshot manually using the mouse wheel (by scrolling up and down to move forward or backward) and moving your mouse in order to move into the desired general direction. Please note that if you want to take accurate screenshots of an aircraft, the best option would be to simply play on a multiplayer (or a single player) mission and then play the track (you'll find all your recorded tracks in the following repertory path: C: Users / My Saved Games / DCS / Tracks). Once you loaded the track, simply use the F11 camera view and put the track in slow motion, this way you'll have time to roam around with the camera and get the angles of view that you desire on the aircraft that you want to screenshot. (Nota bene: The camera goes through entities such as aircrafts, that's how I got "into" the cockpit in order to take the selfie :D. Good luck and please don't forget to post your screenshots here ;)!). Yours, Quent.
  20. Thank you everyone for sharing your screenshots, please keep it up so we can have a real album!
  21. Hey guys, I came up with the idea that we should gather up some of our best in-game screenshots in here (if it does not already exist!) It can be a screenshot taken whilst the MiG-21 is deployed in action or anything else! I'll start with some screenshots I made on a multiplayer server :D : (The following pictures were taken during a landing approach and during the landing itself.) A selfie ! The aircraft stopped on the runway short after the landing, preparing to park.
  22. It was confirmed by Nicholas that the RSBN indicator was fixed.
  23. It could be an aircraft from the Lockheed firm as well, just saying :). And guess what firm made the P-38 ( also known as F4 / F5 lightning) ? LOCKHEED. It's all in L. P-38 confirmed :).
  24. It looks really promising. And as many people already said, you could still get in touch with some Third Party development teams to make your dream come true :).
  25. Great update, I'm eager to see the new narrated video! Keep it up!
