  6. Hey guys, I have 4 fighter pilots from the S77th and we want to practice more against other people. If your squadron is doing some training or something that you need aggressors for, please contact me and maybe we can play that part for you! We can fly the Su-27 or the F-15C, we don't want to be overly competitive but at the same time we don't want to fly at less than our skill level since it's training for us too, so we won't "go easy on you". The S77th squadron is looking for competitive matches as well. Please find me or pyromaniac on www.s77th.com for details about that.
  7. This is off topic for the thread but in line with its title I guess.. Is it possible in the MiG-29 to switch the MFD mode from the HUD duplicate to Datalink or Nav modes? If so, what's the default key bind and what's the name of the key bind in the control options?
  8. Usually ones you join a empty server it fills up pretty quickly. Someone just has to start it.
  9. I don't fly in other servers much but I know I had good times in the 51st too, they have good admins in my experience.
  10. The S77th server runs almost exclusively missions that are realistic in terms of aircraft available to red/blue with the exception of the MiG-21Bis being available on both sides. Our missions also usually feature dynamic ground battles with controllable units. Fighters spawn a little further away than usual to create a more strategic air superiority game instead of the constant slugging match. It also allows CAS a little room to breath, but not too much room ;) We also put a lot of effort into making sure our missions include the rotor heads with multiple FARPS and movable troops. More recently our good friend shadow has created a script which allows helicopters to move logistics and use them to create SAM batteries! Currently DCS bugs prevent us from having dynamic naval battles but some missions have static ships and carriers.
  11. Most of our missions have ground battles going on in the AO with moving and controllable ground units.
  12. Surely when you say "get rid of" you mean upgrade to full DCS fidelity right? I got into this game for the fighters and I have no idea why we'd want to get rid of them. Also, FC3 aircraft are not also known as COD aircraft. The only people who call them that are the people who have their face buried in their MFCDs all the time and get butthurt when their lack of SA gets them killed.
  13. Regarding the torch light, it's maybe not a bug but for me it's not centered to where I want to look so I have to zoom out more than normal and shift my eyes while aiming the light with trackir
  14. It was a AIM-120C, maybe I'll dig up the track later. Regardless though, a blast radius of 300 feet doesn't constitute a dead pilot and everything on the plane completely blown up right?
  15. Would be nice to get rid of the tapatalk app redirect when browsing on iphone. This more recent one where you can't even continue to the forums without waiting 10 seconds is especially annoying.
  16. Rearming can and usually does cause the nose come switch to be set to the off position.
  17. After using and jettisoning the boosters, DCS considers them ordinance and they will show up on the F10 map and the F6 ordinance cam. Only thing is that you won't be watching them fall, you'll be looking at where they were mounted to the plane. This will persist until a new plane is selected; not ending when the boosters fall to the ground.
  18. This whole thread is news to me because I'm of the opinion that it's too flimsy! Yesterday my pilot was killed and the entire plane burst into flames while everything mounted to the fuselage ripped off because of a missile that hit my wingman who was 60 yards away! The tires pop when you drive too fast. This is possibly realistic as low quantity tires can build up heat with speed and weight, but not in 30 seconds with the correct tires for the aircraft. That only happens to loaded semis with incorrect tire pressure. There are other things too that I've noticed to contribute to my opinion but I forget them because I'm usually playing and not testing.
  19. Actually this can happen with SARH missiles as well. If lock is obtained and missiles are fired, lock tone does not cease in many cases. Not sure if I should've put this in the audio bugs section?
  20. GIMP2 is extremely powerful and free. It's what I use. It also handles layers and can use the photoshop file format .psd Thanks for this template!

  23. I generally drop from over 10k, mostly like 15k feet and I start lazing right after pickle. I never have any issues with bombs missing. The worst miss was on a fast moving Shark that was bobbing and weaving from the laze and because I already bombed him 2x before in the same day. Here you can see it miss but still be close enough for a kill. Realistically, the lazer guided bombs are designed for moving targets so they definitely should hit in real and in simulation.
  24. Title says it. When someone slots into a 21 the server often takes a hit similar to how some weapons can effect performance temporarily.

    Loading time

    I too have massively longer loading times. Roughly 3-400% longer for loading a SP mission. I run DCS from a SSD drive too (like many people) and I don think that loading textures would take it so much longer.
