After 1 year with the crystal running at 90Htz, I tried 120. After a few minutes, I get this Deafening Static Noise . Only on 120 ....Back to 90 and its gone ? If you are running 120 , any help would be appreciated. ~S~

Hi all , My crystal has got a green dot that is Stuck in the same position whenever I turn on the Headset. This "Dot" is Fixed in the same Position .. IF I look really close ( its hard coz its small) , it appears to have a Green, yellow and red within it !...Its annoying the crap out of me in DCS an ED !....Yes, Tried Switching on/off... Update Pimax Play...It Looks like a DEAD Pixel on a TV screen ! Any Help or Advice Appreciated ! ~S~

DOS, Synthax ,anyone remember ?...Windows with 12 Floppy discs to install ! ...CPU ..486 with 4 MB RAM ! ..Video Card Riva TNT versus Voodoo 3dfx ?.... Us flight Simmers have been chasing our Tail since we found out we could Fly on our PC......We dont care what it costs, we want the most immersive Flying we can get ! I have the Crystal . It has added that Extra Dimension to Flying that cannot be described with words. I am Buying the Crystal Super ....And whatever I need to run it ! .. As us simmers Do.. We find a way to Pay for our passion . ~S~

Calvin, you seem to be very good at offering advice "After" the Fact ! ...Default Controller , Sword, you are playing Semantics ! Call it what you will !...I am trying to help DCS Players using Necksafer....."Holding Pi Button is quick recenter for All Scenerio" ???? .. CAN YOU SHOW ME THAT IN PIMAX PLAY ???

After weeks of testing (and nearly giving up on checking my six in DCS in VR)..(consistantly)..I have a solution that works for me with Pimax Crystal,DCS and Necksafer ! What you Need ! ..Pimax Crystal..Pimax Controller(I think its called Sword)...Necksafer Installed and (important) set a Centre button in the neckesafer GUI....NOT CENTRE VR IN DCS! Instructions : (1) Run pimax Play . (Headset is On ?). (2) Run Necksafer App. (3) Run DCS ....Wait till DCS menu screen is loaded . (4) Press DCS "Centre VR" Key .(5)..Press and Hold PI Button (until circle is complete) on Pimax Controller !( PS, Try Not to move your Head)...(6) Press Necksafer "center" button ! Hope this helps . j

Calvin, I have found after lots of tests (without Necksafer) that the Crystal does not "Exactly".. Centre in VR....It may not be noticeable in the cockpit as we press recenter VR, its just small jumps !....Again, Test in DCS. ..In the cockpit , Recenter VR. Hold exactly Still and Recenter VR,.. See those little jumps every time ?...I dont think its minor head movements. I think, Necksafer is so Accurate with its Layer, that it amplfies the Crystals centering Dead Zone ..The Crystal must have a Centering Dead - Zone in its Software ?... But I Digress. Tip 2 . Bear with me ! Find some spare Keys/buttons/ Hats that you can use with Pimax Headset on. ...Yes ?.. if you have Rotary available it will be easier..... Lets now go Xrnecksafer / Options/ Key bindings....To keep this simple, we will start on YAW Axis only......Manual Rotation.. Autorotation is OFF. Now, Set your Left, Right and centre Buttons .... Still in Keybindings,." Change Manual Rotation values" ...Bind up or down with your keys or rotaries....You will need these Keystrokes to work Perfectly when wearing your Headset... ...To Be continued ...(Are you on that PC again)...

Just want to give something back to the DCS Community. TIP No 1. ... Most of the issues I have had are , Being Seated, left , right, above or outside the Cockpit when I spawn on the runway !..Pressing Centre Vr or Centre Necksafer still puts me Left or Right in the Cockpit . The Reason is not Necksafer, its the Headset ! ...Do a Test... Load DCS to the Main Menu in VR and press Centre VR DCS Command ...Now move your head up and down, left and right. ... Is the DCS menu "Jumpin" .? Even by small amounts ?....Hold you head still and try again ?...Same result ?....Even though you think you have re-centred the headset, its off....When that Menu Doesnt move your headset is centred and necksafer works great. How to Centre Pimax Crystal Before DCS is Loaded ? ...After Lots of Hours (that I could be Flying ).......Download Pimax "Experience" !....add DCS.exe, and when you are ready, use the "Centre Headset" button...(Makesure you have the New Launcher in DCS Disabled).... Tip 2. Sorry "Run out of Time " Real Life calls ! To Be Continued ~S~

Droopy , I had this same issue at 120Hz . DCS would freeze or I would get a Terrible static noise in my Speakers . I don' know if this is correct but I think it is DCS FPS being Lower than 120 FPS and the Pimax set at 120 just goes out of Sync....I tried to set DCS FPS at 120 but that is a big ask for a 4090 ! ...I have settled for 90 in Pimax !

AF . Try this . Start Pimax Play....Make sure your headset is on...Don't do anything yet.....Run Neck Safer . ....Run DCS...Go to your Planes Cockpit and Centre VR ! Dont MOVE and Centre Necksafer ! ...Hope this helps mate.

Hi all , just want to give you an update on my experience with NS . I love it ! ... BUT (1) If you remove your Headset and pause DCS, when you come back and recenter your Headset , you may find yourself Outside the Cockpit with your view from the left wing for example. My Solution : DONT bind NS Centre to VR Centre ! Use a free button on you Hotas to NS center ! ......When you put your headset back on, centre VR, dont move your head, then Press NS Center ! (2) Stepwise is great BUT I think Foveated Rendering cant Keep up with the fast changing views to Focus on ! Can get very Blurry ! Disorientate for me. I have gone back to Left, Right Button for checkin 6. ..Works great ! Thanks for XRNS and hopefully I passed on some useful info .

No Calvin. Never been on YT. Been JD since "Skies of Valor". If you know what that Server was 20 years ago ! So Calvin, can you post "Your " Recommended settings for good spotting in DCS using the Pimax Crystal ? ...Surely , you been from Pimax, you will be able to offer some advice to Crystal Owners. .. No Falcon, I have 3. XRNS is my third !. Thanks to all who offered advice to my post ! ~s~ to All ! Guys, I cannot believe the Transformation to the VR experience ! WOW ! ..... Anyone remember using the Joystick "hat" for Views ?.. Then Track IR came along and we were all Blown Away by just moving our heads to look around . XRNS is amazing in VR ! I must have been under a VR rock for the past 8 months flying in VR !! See you in the skies Pilots ~s~ PS . I think Open XR is not being Supported after August 24 ? Check for yourselves ! ...

Hi all. I love my Crystal and I could never go back to a Flat screen... I have been using Track Ir for about 20 years and a slight turn of my head and I can see my planes six from either side... Even watching DCS YouTube content, you can see TrackIr users instantly check six. In VR, I struggle to check my Flaps in the F86 as an example. I really want to get back to Online Flying but I would be Mincemeat because my viewing arc is so restricted .......As Chuck Yaeger said " Loose Sight and Loose the Fight ". Any Tips from VR pilots would be Appreciated ! ~S~

Cobra, its in your users/saved games folder. I copied the DCS lua from the unzipped to my DCS Scripts Folder. Then it worked fine. Hope that helps mate.

Peedee, I totally agree with you. What a transformation using the Buttkicker. I spent a few hours today in the Gazzelle,F86 and Spitfire. It works so well in DCS. It so "adjustable" and easy to tune on the fly with so many variables. Up there with Voice Attack, I think this is one of the best pieces of software I bought . Also, it starts automatically with DCS and no log in required....My "Other" Haptic software was a waste of money and has been Un-installed ! BTW, For VR Guys, this just adds another dimension. I have my Buttkicker for about six months but didn't use it because of the software. This just got my Buttkicker fired up again.
