  1. Not a big topic, but today there has been a nice air show in my city with the participation of the Italian acrobatic patrol "Freccie Tricolori". It has been a breahtaking experience (also for the terrible heat ). Here are some pictures. Not professional ones but it was my best: And for last, The Freccie:
  2. Really impressive!! .. so breathtaking!!
  3. I've just updated DCS world with the last update and the throttle axis with X-55 seems broken: under Controls -> Axis Commands the throttle one is highlighted in red and doesn't work anymore, for every module. For A-10C the left and right throttle axis work fine, but the "Throttle both" is red. Any clue?
  4. They are 2 different things: the stock training missions are simple missions, with a voiceover guide, to become familiar with the main systems. The A10C Basic Training Campaign is a campaign that simulates a basic training program of an A-10 pilot. It's focused on flying skills and not combat ones. Every mission represents an examination where you must demonstrate to have acquired some skills (from a correct start-up, to flying a landing pattern or manage the aircraft during emenrgencies). It's quite challenging but very enjoyable: I recommend it. The campaign comes with training missions where you can experiment the situations before being evaluated. There is also a good set of videos by Recon Stewart that covers the various missions. (the first: [ame] [/ame]) But remember: these missions (both the stock and the Basic Training Campaign ones) don't substitute the manual. Happy flying with one of the best DCS modules :smilewink:
  5. Good idea! Thanks. Is it editable in order to change the aircraft type? (I don't own the albatross, but could use it to train with the Mustang or tha Hawk, for example)
  6. Voted No: I'm not very intrested in this kind of aircraft, and I'm doubtful about his usability inside actual DCS scenarios and actual type of aircrafts
  7. Mmhhh, it could be: I'll check it! Thanks!
  8. Hello everyone, I haven't flown the mirage for a couple of weeks, but yesterday evening I decided to try again in Nevada skies. So I followed instructions as per Chuck's guide: - Done all preflight checks (fly-by-wire settings, auto slats,...) - Set to ON battery and alternators - Set ignition/ventilation selector to VENT - Fire extinguisher set to OFF - Set low pressure fuel pumps to ON - Set fuel pump to ON - Pressed the ignition switch But at this point the engine didn't spool up at all (and, if I remember well, the Engine starting light was alread lit).:( Has something changed with last update or am I missing something? I'm quite sure that this procedure worked flawlessly last time I flew the Mirage. Thanks in advance
  9. Dovrebbe esserci un server, ma non ho capito se sia aperto o no. Il link del Thread relativo è: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=161716
  10. Thanks a lot, very interesting! Is there also a way to modify, within the virtual cartridge, the HUD? For example, like the 476th one with the bullseye bearing shown in the upper right corner.
  11. Thanks a lot! I was looking for such a mission, especially with the target range and a hit counter! I'll try it ASAP for sure!
  12. I think the progression should be as real as it can be. I personally don't like missions where you get 100 score without landing back at your base, but I also don't like when you get a mission failure without responsability. For example in the F-15 Red Flag campaign I failed a mission because a bomber I had to escort was shot down by a SAM, while I succeded in stopping the enemy fighters. These are my two cents...
  13. I had the same experience: if I ask my wingman to attack a type of target everything goes well, but if I order him to use a specific weapon, he answer "Roger, RTB...) Weird...
  14. Is this a tribute to Juventus FC?
  15. Yesterday evening I flew mission number 6 for the 3rd time. For the second time in a row I failed it because the bombers couldn't accomplish their mission (first time one of them was shot down by a SA-8, second time they were not shot down, so I think they couldn't kill their target, but I'm not so sure about it) But this is not the point.... The point is that during the mission I looked at the log and the blue bar saying "Wait while the list is being populated" (or something similar) freezed on the screen. However I finished the mission and landed back at Nellis AFB. In the debriefing I was accused of fratricide, having shot down a blue plane. That accusation surprised me very much, so I checked with Tacview... and it was absolutely false: I killed 4 bandits and not 3 bandits and a blue plane as stated by DCS. :( So my question is: is it a bug? was it due to the debriefing list being freezed? any other cue? However failing a mission for not a personal fault is quite annoying...
  16. DLC are not editable, so it's normal if you can't edit and save them
  17. Well, I had almost your same experience... It seems wingman is 100% effective when using Maverics, but with the other weapons his utility is random like. The problem is that if you ask him to generally attack ground targets he is effective, but you don't have control on which target will be attacked, but if you address him on a specific one, you will face the most variable reactions. And almost all the times I ask him to attack using a specific weapons (for example to save mavs for later attacks) he will eject...:( I think wingman AI has to be deeply improved.
  18. Any tips on how to modify it? Thanks
  19. Mmhh... I dunno... I thought it was a problem of oblique wind from behind that pushed the plane and didn't help breaking, but maybe you are right. The feeling was that of the right wheel that couldn't break , but I hadn't been hit at all during the mission, neither there was an hydraulic failure. Maybe the gear got damaged during the landing (too prolonged crab attitude?). However it was fun :joystick: Great news indeed! M2000 is a great module, but I'm still in love with the Warthog and a full scale conflict intrigues me! Keep on these high standards, take all the time that's needed, and they will both be masterpieces for sure
  20. Well... same for me:lol::lol: Not to land itself (a real crab landing...), but the plane was uncontrollable during breaking. So I finished with only one wing left, but I thought it was the right end for a breath-taking action movie :megalol: (only after that I realized I landed in the opposite direction from what instructed by ATC.... nooooooooob:doh:)
  21. Just finished the campaing this weekend: one of the best campaings so far! The last mission was quite a challenge with the actual NVG: I had to fly it without them (scary experience) and with labels on. There are few bugs, but mainly software ones and not related with the missions themselves (ATC, units visibility,...). As an overall opinion, I enjoyed it very much and I'll look forward to playing the M2000 one. Good job, Baltic Dragon!
  22. Great stuff: thanks a lot! + Rep inbound!
