I'm not excited about the MiG-29A and I'm not likely to buy it, but if a Su-25A comes out I'll buy it on day one. It'll be awesome!

I didn't see anyone saying that it's boring, but rather talking about the problems with sound, 3D, textures and physics. For those who fly in VR, graphics don't matter because most of the VR community flies with reduced graphics to have high FPS rates.- 591 replies

I've never seen the Echo 19 product, but I'm sure it should be integrated into the module in a future update. I am impressed with the huge difference in a texture done correctly.- 591 replies

It's very simple! Just transport an elite troop to the location and they will do the work of eliminating the insurgents and the Chinook has side weapons to provide support.- 591 replies

Dude! DCS is known for its fantastic realism in its modules. That's exactly what makes it so unique. Most people who look for the ED platform are looking for it because of that. Its realism! So! You're suggesting that Kiowa should run away from this proposal and that's not right. You can go to this ED link and see the meaning of the terms that make DCS unique! It's called PFM! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/general/#1512209- 591 replies

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
If a company wants to make big profits, it must make a product that is equal to or better than its competitors. It's not my fault that Polychop launched something at this level at a full price with the intention of selling it like an "F-4E". I did give my feedback, as did many others, and if in the future another module has its problems, I will come here and create a topic. Even a simple animation on the ammunition belt does not exist on the aircraft, which has practically no weapons. The 3D and textures are ugly, yes. The sound is ugly and unrealistic, and the physics have their problems. The Kiowa taking off and hovering with 100% fuel and 4 Hellfires is not possible on the real aircraft, and even the developers stated that it does not do this on their discord. Anyway! I hope it receives all the improvements and shines, but the more time passes and new modules are released, the Kiowa will fall into oblivion and sales will be lower and lower.- 591 replies

You can see this same level of detail in the Apache, Mi-24, Ka-50v3, F-14, F-18, F-16, A-10Cv2 and F-4E modules. And yes! The level of detail in the Kiowa in 2024 is shameful! Amateur stuff!- 591 replies

As you can see, F-4E and Apache has practically the same performance and it is infinitely superior to Kiowa in Textures and 3D model.- 591 replies

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
The difference is that the Huey was released 11 years ago and was way ahead of its time. I'm sure that in the future there will be a Huey 2.0 with an updated model and textures. Now the Kiowa was released this year with a 3D model and textures that are outdated by 2024 standards. I have nothing against Polychop, but if the Kiowa had the same level of quality as the current modules, it would have sold much more. I hope that the Kiowa is updated and that its future modules are not a Kowa 1.0. That way they will always lose sales and as time goes by this will only get worse because new modules will appear that are more interesting than the Kiowa. Every company aims for profit and to make a profit they have to outdo themselves and their competitors. My preferences are F-4E level.- 591 replies

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Just remember that the programmer does not interfere with the guy who makes the 3D model and textures. They are different people and you are talking about Polychop having only one employee who does everything. Now, just because you like to play Minecraft doesn't mean you can demand that this not be fixed.- 591 replies

ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Then you are the perfect customer for Polychop with their low quality 3D models and textures. Remember that Kiowa's physics are not that accurate. In real life, it cannot take off with 100% fuel and 4 hellfires, much less hover in the air like it does in DCS. The important thing is that you are satisfied.- 591 replies

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
A small team has nothing to do with the quality of the product. Look at Magnitude 3 with its F-4U-1D, Red Star Simulations with its MiG-17, FlyingIron Simulations with its A-7E, among others that are being developed for DCS. Kiowa is the way it is because Polychop hired the wrong person and did not have high quality control. And flying SP has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I only fly SP and I love looking at the beauty of the Mi-24, Apache and Chinook. Magnitude 3 F-4U-1D. Red Star Simulations MiG-17. FlyingIron Simulations A-7E- 591 replies

ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
So with this in mind, the F-4E is not well simulated and lacks resources because it has a 3D model and textures that are close to the real model of the aircraft. And another thing! The programmer does not interfere in the 3D design or the texture designer. Each one has their role. Now, if Polychop is formed by only one person who did the programming, the 3D model and the textures. This would justify the current state.- 591 replies

How did you come to this conclusion that the people who come here to give their feedback don't fly Kiowa? Did you do a survey? Did you go to where everyone lives to see if they are flying?- 591 replies

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Man, I bought the module and no one gave it to me for free. The module is indeed below DCS standards and I don't know how ED allowed it to come out in this state at full price. It doesn't even look like a module released in 2024, but it looks like something released 15 years ago. It doesn't meet ED and other third-party standards. Now, if you think it's bad that I say this, just ignore it. I don't recommend this module to anyone in its current state. It's better for the person to buy the Mi-24, Apache or even the Chinook and they'll be happier. Anyway! If you think it's bad, ignore me.- 591 replies

ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
If Kiowa doesn't improve, Polychop's future will be compromised by the release of new modules because many people will stop buying their modules. I really hope Kiowa improves because the 3D model and textures are horrible. I keep seeing new modules being developed that I don't even need, but I'll end up buying them because the 3D model and textures are professional. The beauty and presentation of a product are the most important things when you want to sell a product. The MiG17 is a product that I don't need, but the beauty, care and details of the 3D model and its textures make me want to buy it because it makes me want to fly it just to admire its beauty. No one wants to date an ugly woman and the Kiowa is very ugly today. https://stormbirds.blog/2024/08/20/red-star-provides-brief-mig-17-update/ https://stormbirds.blog/2024/01/01/red-star-simulations-mig-17-update/- 591 replies

I believe you didn't understand his question and what I answered. He asked if it is possible to set a value to move the camera out with the door and another value without the door. I answered that the DCS does not allow this and that the value is unique for the version with and without the door. Regarding what you answered, the Bell 206 that you mention has one and sticking its head out in real life is possible because it does not have an armor plate on the door of your Bell 206 like the OH-58D Kiowa.- 591 replies

reported Server.lua does not recognize Chinook ID.
ThorBrasil replied to ThorBrasil's topic in Bugs and Problems
The view.lua file is always in the X:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\XXX\views.lua folder. In the case of the CH-47, the file is in E:\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\CH-47F\views.lua. I don't know if this is related and that's why it doesn't work correctly. I've tried all the acronyms that are in E:\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\CH-47F\entry.lua. I've tried these. CH-47F, CH-47F_bl1, CH-47Fbl1, CH47F, CH47Fbl1 and none of them work. In the SnapViews.lua file, it saves as "CH-47FBL1", but it doesn't work in Server.lua either. The SnapViews.lua file is saved with this name "CH-47FBL1". I put the same name "CH-47FBL1" in Server.lua file and it doesn't work. As you can see. I do it for all my modules.
