  1. You might need to just get used to the way DCS handles. Since real world movements don't translate correctly to a game joystick, there's some muscle memory involved unique to DCS, I think.

  3. I think people are arguing about guidance or CM effectiveness (yet :D), but the problem is with their drag numbers. Very drag versus the Aim-7 which it is supposed to be comparable.
  4. I agree I'll be happy with French planes when the F1 comes, but France doesn't use the Typhoon. They have the Rafale.

    Some people say the Mig shouldn't even have the dual pylon capability, as it's not realistic. I personally don't know if it's realistic or not.

    That scenario is accurate, but you better hope that first IR missile you fire hits it's target because then the fight starts to change quickly. I expect a lot of guns kills between these two planes.

    I think they make a big difference, but I don't think they'll give the Mig a huge advantage overall. I doubt the performance in game currently is realistic. Hopefully it will be modified, then we'll see how it plays out.

    Is the F-5 equipped with a chaff lancher? If so, that would make it much easier to evade R3R. They are old missiles after all.

    It seems fairly even to me. If the Mig comes in with a bunch of missiles and doesn't kill the F-5 before the merge, the F-5 should be able to out maneuver the heavier and worse instant. turning Mig. If the Mig plays his cards right he can kill the F-5 head-on before the merge or at least put the F-5 enough on the defensive to maneuver into position for the kill.
  15. I think a Mirage III or F1 would be cool.
  16. There are plans to integrate this into the Huey and Mi-8 modules in the future, but I think it's still a considerable ways away. It has just recently been put into the L-39 trainer plane for the first time in the game and is being tested and tweaked for now.

  18. I think the imposter system works well in general, but the transition phase from imposter to regular needs work.
  19. Check us out at maddog-simulations.com. We are a casual group without many requirements. We have a good mix of experienced and novice flyers, and our guys fly almost every module pretty frequently. We also just had a larger Co-Op mission yesterday that is now becoming a Bi-weekly event. If you're interested, make an account on our forum and post in our recruitment thread. EDIT: Forgot to mention, some of our members are frequent BMS players.

  21. In 1.5, I can start seeing objects at a max of about 20 nmi, which is pretty far, and that's at a res of 1920x1080 on the Small setting. I think it works a lot better now than in 1.2. The only problem I still have is losing sight of a target when it switches from the imposter setting to the close range setting.

    I'd say implement it, but I probably won't use it much. ECM modeling is too simplistic to be totally helpful.
