    Yes please, thank you for uploading the track. 

    Does it always happen with an aircraft nearby or does it also happen with you completely alone in the sky? Because from your video with your description, my bet is still on wake turbulence.

    Atmospheric turbulence and wake turbulence are two different things and can be enabled seperatly in DCS.

    That doesn't matter. Wake turbulence stays for several minute in the air and drift only with a few knots of speed. If you crossed his flight path, you will have crossed his wake turbulence, which leads to what you recorded.

    The only way to bork the saved games folder is if you have absolutely no idea what you are doing. Otherwise deconflicting mods is as simple as OvGME.

    If by warships you mean modded units, disable the historical filter (clock symbol at the bottom). 

    If you mean any default ships, remove all of your mods and run a repair. Ships not spawning is a symptom of mod conflicts.

    So from my testing, besides you entering the coordinates for a target in the atlantic ocean, if you deselect Waypoint on the HSI and just select PP1, it works.

    AFAIK they don't all (yet) use the full flight model; they're very simplified but I think this is changing at some point; some are already using the full flight model I believe.

    However, they are still AI units and don't really 'fly' properly. So there's nothing you can do about it.

    You **could** write a quite complicated script to change AOA based on altitude but a) it wouldn't be easy b) it certainly wouldn't be worth it and c) it probably would need to be tweaked for every airport on every map. 

    I don't really see what the problem is that you're trying to solve here. Do you want to explain more?

     

    I'm gonna assume he means deploying flares instead of the flare maneuver. But only OP will be able to confirm...

    Thanks for your reply, but I've already done that.

    The messages appearing top right are like the training mission messages that appear when doing the training/tutorial. The scripted nature of the tutorial closes stuff down to ensure everything is shut down to make sure you're doing things correctly.

    However I'm not in a tutorial, just doing a cold start from a runway in the Caucasus to practice startup and flying.

    The auto shutdown is not starting on it's own. Are you 100% sure you checked all bindings?

  10. 3 pre-requisites come into my mind right now:

    - Make sure the game does not regard you as dead (invisible on F10 map) 

    - Land on a friendly airfield

    - Engine(s) off

    Where you spawn depends on how the mission creator has set up the available slots. Some creators have both cold and hot starts on an airfield and sometimes even name them accordingly.

    You need to go to the DTS page and manually load the DSMS. 

    Press and hold any of the lower MFD buttons for a bit until a new page shows up. Select "Load" and press on any of the lower MFD buttons. Press that button again to enter the LOAD page and press "Load all" or "load DSMS" or whatever you want.

    It feels I need to reload the weapon system somehow but I dont have a clue on how to do this.

     

    There is a manual, training missions and tons of videos available for you to take a look and study.
