Tweaked the colors a little... do you guys feels this a closer match? What I did initially was look up the FS colors for the aircraft and convert that into HEX for photoshop.

Thanks Porco, Jack's version will be a lot better than the one I was cooking up. He had done this scheme previously for an older F/A-18.... I was trying to start from scratch. Thanks for the support though!

Greetings chaps, Another one coming out of the paint shop soon... a pair of skins based on South African Mirage 3 schemes... First up is the Red Widow.. Mirage 3 CZ 802 was painted in this striking scheme to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mirage in SAAF service. This aircraft was written off on 14th February 1990, when the pilot, Capt. M. Edwards, lost control of the aircraft after flying though wake turbulence. He ejected safely over the sea near Langebaan. Black Widow... painted on Mirage 3 CZ 800. This aircraft currently resides with the SAAF Museum...

Greetings chaps... As my other main Hornet project is winding down, I am looking to start something fresh. I've got 2 potential skins in mind... and had a quick play on the first... This bird has always been a rather cool scheme, which I know from a scale model sitting in my stash... 45min of play time in PS later... I'm not 100% sure how far I will go with this one, but lets see what happens....

Hi there Gabuzomeu, I downloaded your skin this morning and had a quick look in the model viewer... you too have done a great job!! Thank you for the link to additional photos.. I have been working from whatever I can find, and your link certainly helps to fill in some gaps!! The Hornet template is certainly one that has been a bit of a challenge... but if it were easy, everyone would do it! Thanks again!

Morning guys... a quick update... I've finished the majority of the Hornet now, just a few stencils left to iron out. Took me about 20 min yesterday to sort out the wingtip pylon colors I see another author has released the same bird, and the file is already in the uploads section. While I am not one to take away from other's work, I have spent quite a long time matching up my skin as close as possible to the real bird... but you guys be the judges on that. Hopefully in the next 24 hours my skin will be ready for upload.

Hi gents, This is just a thought, but seeing as we have some very talented members working the Spitfire template, each adding their own touches... Why not compile them into a definitive template .psd and upload it? Given that we were all somewhat disappointed with the template released by ED... I think we would all benefit from sharing our own touches on the original template? You thoughts?

Hi chaps... It goes without saying that I can never have too many SAAF birds... Here is my attempt at representing a SAAF Spitfire IX, as would have been seen in the Italian campaign with 40 Sqn SAAF. These aircraft carried temperate camo schemes which were quite interesting. The 40 Sqn badge was painstakingly touched up from an original image of the Squadron badge.... Got some fine tuning to do, and then I will upload her...

Hi Reflected, As a Spitfire fanatic, I can say that I have really, really loved your work on the new default skin. I am actually going to rework your files to replace the in game default. They are far, far above the in game default! Well done mate, well done!

Thanks.. I realize it all comes down to the .lua... Although I did download a more recent spit skin from another user... and used that .lua as a base, but still ended up with an MH hard code.

Also having the same issue... or the MH is hard coded? I'm trying to recreate MA504, and as far as skins go its not a complex one. I just cant get the MA504 to appear. I can have MH504.... ???
