I hope its ok that I will use this Thread to raffle my Key for the Su25A and F15C! I bought it to try the FC3 Airplanes and I was pretty excited about those. A few months later I decided to buy the whole package. Now the keys of those planes are currently unused and they search a new owner! ATTENTION: I forgot that I have the F15C standalon too! After I unsteamed DCS I forgot about that! You can now win the F15C too! Just say "I want the F15" and you are in! So if theres still interests for those Standalone FC3 Modules I would like to use the same system than BitMaster did. So just say "I want the Sukhoi" or "I want the F15" to get in the pot! :) ____________________________________________________________________________ The raffle Starts now and ends on 15.02.2015! The rules are the same! Like BitMaster said: "Be HONEST, don't apply for anything if you could afford them from your own hands work !!!!" Good Luck and Best Wishes Griffon26 P.s excuse the english pls :music_whistling:

Will the Skies over Normandy be populated?!
Griffon26 replied to Celestiale's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I think if there going to be more iconic planes implemented the Servers will get fuller and fuller time by time. Of course some advertising is needed too! Maybe offtopic but I need to mention it :D If the He-162 A-2 gets added to DCS (Let me dream pls ), I will take a closer look for the WW2 Era :D Regards -
Thanks Mate! Regards, Griffon26

Can you pls give me your TARGET Script for those? :music_whistling: Regards

Necessary/Recommended Panels for small "cockpit"
Griffon26 replied to Griffon26's topic in Home Cockpits
Yea thats true, I had something misspelled on the first post im sorry  It should have been "before and while in combat"... Maybe that makes more sence now ;) Or we could say what would you recommend from all panels to get a "replication". I think that would be easier to answer and would result in more meaningful. Sry my father told me that theres a plane on the tv called Hornet and i was like :pilotfly: ;) So that writing was interrupted :D EDIT: Read all your posts now and I wanna thank you for your answers! Yea functions for coldstart were also in my mind! @Ian I was reading that thread before and got some nice impressions from that. Thx to you! The CDU is also an great idea but a bit difficult to build because I dont have an tablet. Regards -
Hey Pilots, I just started building something like that for my DCS A10c (most in development): I already built an UFC and i own the TM MFDs. Now Im asking me, what should I get next? I want something that you need to get there quickly and easily in combat, yea there quite many of those but I dont have enough space atm maybe that will change in future so that i could expand that thing :) What would you recommend as Nescessary? CMSP? CMSC? Emergency Flight Control Panel? AHCP? Regards, Griffon26

Situational awareness: any tips?
Griffon26 replied to blackbelter's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Ill try that out too! Thanks for sharing -
Glad to hear that I could help! Have fun with DCS ^^ Regards

Thanks for the replie, yea the resetting of the keylists is the bad thing about a new installation. You can increase the resolution of the cockpit. I think it was under options, graphics, resolution of the instruments with an extra field where you can put 1024 (all frames) for example or something like that. But this was translated by me so it may could be called different :smilewink: 6GB of an SSD is worth the price of loosing some keys ^^ Regards Griffon26

Hi DWaldie, Im not sure if that gives you an answer of your question but I think you may wanna know... I bought my A10c in 2011 as a boxed version and added the productkey last year to the Steam library. It was automatically integrated as the DCSWorld module of the a10c. So my A10c installation is in DCSWorld but when im installing it from the disk i have the standalone version which doesnt need DCSWorld. Maybe it helped you. Regards Griffon26

Can you recommend a USB Hub?
Griffon26 replied to Griffon26's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the answers and thanks cichlidfan for the congratulations ;)! So the thing I found out till now is: Its quiet horrible what you need to know about a simple USB Hub :) Ok I found one on Amazon (english link): http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Technology-Chipsets-backwards-compatibility/dp/B00483WRZ6/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420408101&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Plugable+USB+2.0+10+Port+Hub+mit+12%2C5W+Netzteil+f%C3%BCr+EU+und+GB+%28Terminus+Technologie+FE1.1a+und+2.1+Chipsatz.+Windows%2C+Mac+OS+X+und+Linux+Unterst%C3%BCtzung.+Abw%C3%A4rtskompatibel+mit+USB+1.1+und+Aufw%C3%A4rtskompatibel+mit+USB+3.0%29 The point is, that it has just 2,5A power supply. Could I add one with more Ampere or will it end in a firework? Electronics arent my special field :helpsmilie: @Bexx0r thanks for recommending but I need 10 ports for all the stuff - just flight sim equipment and USB interfaces no HDDs or sticks! The things i wanna add on this HUB (plugs in brackets): Thrustamster HOTAS (2), Thrustmaster MFDs (2), Saitek rudder pedals (1), TrackIR5 (1), Arcaze USB Interface (1) and maybe a Arduino board (1). So it will make 8 Ports needed. So the biggest problem will be the power it needs I think. Btw: I dont need flashing or dazzling leds with an atomic ray ;) Regards Griffon26 -
Can you recommend a USB Hub?
Griffon26 replied to Griffon26's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the fast and explenetory Asnwer! I dont know much about such things and thats the reason why I ask such silly questions :D Regards ;) -
Hey guys, I need a USB Hub for stuff like Thrustmaster Hotas and MFDs, TrackIR5, Saitek rudders and so on, I was searching around the internet and found that one: Can someone recommend this or a different? It should have atleast 10 Ports and a external power supply. Also I dont really know what kind of USB should I get. My PC has 2 USB3.0 and a few USB 2.0 ports on the back. What would you get? Many thanks and pls excuse if that kind of threat was started hundrets of times. Regards Griffon26

16x2 USB connected LCD display for CMSP?
Griffon26 replied to Griffon26's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the replies and the tips! I´ll searching for a 20x2 display and the arduino board. Edit: I think you mean that board: http://www.amazon.de/Arduino-Uno-Rev3-Original-Italy/dp/B008GRTSV6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1420226935&sr=8-3&keywords=arduino And such a LCD: http://www.amazon.de/LCD-MOD-BLAU-NEG-WEISS-20X2/dp/B003A66RAI/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1420226561&sr=8-10&keywords=lcd+20x2 Regards -
Hey, at the moment i try to build the CMSP panel and I need your help. I own the Arcaze USB Interface and I also know that there is a LCD Driver but its designed for 7 Segment displays like that one below. With those it wouldnt look like the original display... http://simple-solutions.de/shop/product_info.php?language=en&products_id=79 I thought about using a seperate lcd module with a usb connection like this one: http://www.adafruit.com/product/784 Would it be possible to use this one as the display of the CMSP? Thanks for any reply Regards Griffon26

Yea the option to burn it on DVD by a friend is a nice idea! Yea youre right I try to use english as often as possible. And thanks for the link you posted here I´ll try it out. Regards

At first many thanks for your answers and the opinions we got together! Of course installing a game/sim/whatever via CD/DVD gets more and more outdated but the possibility to puplish a downloadcode only version like 7rooper mentioned would have the same effect like a normal Disk inside. I said it before, without the boxed version of the A10C I doubtless never heard something of DCS. Ok SkateZilla mentioned that the update frequency is too short so that a CD would be outdated and the costs would be too much. Thats true my Disc was outdated too and I needed to patch it to the newest version. And it came with a colored quickstart guide. But this quickstart guide was a great help to make the first simple steps with the A10 (Ok I found fires tutorials on youtube so it was a "just in the case I forgot something notebook") but all in one it helped alot. cichlidfan: Wow that p51d is really that expensive in the US? http://www.amazon.de/DCS-P-51D-Mustang-PC/dp/B008XIDAQ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420138885&sr=8-1&keywords=dcs+p51 Yurgon: I download via Steam so I cant say anything about troubles with the DCS Download tools. Yea DVDs take space and the producing isnt environmentally friendly I think but not everyone has a good internet connection and so they prefer DVDs/CDs like a friend of me hes a poor guy 200kb/s is a high average... But after all you understand what I try to tell you. It could be good to "display" for the great Digital Combat Simulator. Also I heard something about a TV Commercial in the USA and Russia but thats something different  Pls excuse english mistakes google helped me a bit :music_whistling: Regards
-
Haha ^^ No worrie Kuky  I know how that feels :helpsmilie: but if were honest, it makes much more fun to build one from scratch without any expensive high quality, extreme reality, easy to assemble and all work done kit... oh wait why am I not rich too  Regards

Hey ppl, in 2011 I bought my first DCS product by chance in a normal shop for electronis. I saw that little warthog facing me behind some other games and I put it out of the shelf... So with that moment a big friendship started to grow :joystick: :D If there wasnt that boxed version of the A10c I think I never got to the great flight sim DCS Now im asking me, will there be other products from DCS get a boxed version or is it to expensive? The P51D, the huey and the black shark 1 for example already got one. Well maybe someone wanna reveal his opinion? Regards Griffon26 And btw I prefer to have something in my shelf than in an digital list. :music_whistling: P.s Excuse the english pls
