    Bug?

    No pic here either
  2. I've just had the exact same thing happen, same mission. I changed laser code on stores to 1681 and laser on TGP to 1681 (incase of interference from AI wingman). Changed mode to CCRP Min ALT to 1000ft Auto Lase on Lase timer 10 seconds. 1st time it happend was on taking the bridge, i used NWS button to manual lase, scored a hit. Second time was on a tank after checking in with JTAC (same mission), missed the tank (seemed that the laser switched off whilst holding NWS?, overheated?). If it happens again I'll save track.
  3. More logs for a session yesterday.. Am i better to clear the logs dir each time i upload a log so the next log is fresh? Or just include everything inclusive of previous logs? Logs.rar
  4. Will do, and of there is a better way to post these let me know. It crashed without fail every time i play provided i play for long enough. Will it be annoying to post so many reports? Love your work and i I want to help where i can without annoying you guys.
  5. 0 Replies? Can someone please at least acknowledge or let me know i posted in the right place? Would any more logs be of any use?
  6. ::edit - original post below:: A few weeks ago i saw a thread re memory leaks, then on a fresh OS/DCS install encountered the issue myself. I then was unable to find the thread, so have created this one. DCS are looking into the issue and as you'll see below I've been encouraged to post more logs, and i would assume that also goes for anyone else with the issue. Keep up the good work DCS & testers, it is appreciated  Logs are found in C:\Users\[username]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs\ or the equivalent location on your system. I have usually been deleting the contents of this DIR before launching DCS, not sure if this is ideal or not, will advise if i learn otherwise. It may or may not be beneficial to post system specs, couldn't hurt. ::back to the original post:: Have been having this issue since doing a fresh install on Windows 7 Basically i jump in game, and my memory usage climbs until the game crashes. Today i deleted the content of my Logs folder and jumped in game. Crashed again, and so was able to get a fresh collection of logs, attached to this post. Have previously run on Win10 without issue, needed to return to Win 7 for a few reasons. Have also run an earlier beta of 1.5 on a previous Win7 install without issue. If there is a better way to submit logs / dumps let me know. MemLeakLogs.rar
  7. Picked 'other' As a relative newcomer I'd love to see all of the existing work polished and working before anything else happens. eg: Existing missions / campaigns seem to have broken triggers cause by updates to the game/engine handling of triggers or whatever. Can't have new players stumbling on these issues. ATC sometimes works, sometimes works poorly and sometimes doesn't work, that could use some polish up. :edit:And as another user mentioned, ATC could use more depth Factual inaccuracies and heavily simplified SAM behavior in all modules could be bought up to scratch. Would be nice to see older modules get some updates and love, eg Ka-50 get some polish, maybe even Air/Air capability (AFAIK A/A mode can be selected, but can't be armed with A/A missiles) Also need to see all but the most recent BETAs polished and finished. I recall buying Mi-8 as a BETA some time ago, and it's still listed as a BETA?
  8. Can confirm with Beta 3 the issue still exists. I'll put system specs in sig
  9. Fully agreed. Too late for me though, (already bought pure BS2) but would love to be able to gift a module to a friend.
  10. I've had both. It's hard to explain what it's like to own a TM Warthog to someone whom has not spend and hour with one. I had issues with my X55 and after several returns to repair various issues i got a refund on it. (note: i hold no ill against Saitek, must have gotten a bad batch or something, the X55 was nice) I then bought the TM Warthog and it elevated my A-10 simming to a new level. I would strongly advise the warthog IF you are keen on the A-10C. If you play a mix of games then i would advise the X55, and hope you have better luck than i did. One thing about the X55 was that it was a great stick for Elite : Dangerous! But having controls that match my cockpit in the A10 and 2 stage trigger etc is really worthwhile.
  11. Was doing some P51 training and heard a loud jet engine sound nearby and coming closer. Problem is i couldn't sight the aircraft making the noise. Ended up hitting F2 as the noise had become loud enough to block out the instructor voice over entirely. After looking for the source i eventually spotted it on a taxiway 500m away and coming closer. This was training mission 2, engine start. Just something to keep a lookout for. Cheers.
  12. I'll +1 this, this would be great to have.
  13. This sounds cool. There is a YouTube vid of the Super Hornet taking off from a highway in Europe somewhere. Could create interesting missions for the A10 with limited munitions available operating from a FARP.
  14. I don't do anything special for 3 monitors. My setup was 1 x 1920x1200 center in landscape and a left & right wing monitor @ 1024x1280 in portrait (PLP setup). No eyefinity or anything like that, just 3 plain screens. Then in the resolution options of DCS i'm presented an option of 3968x1200 which i use and it looks fine. Unfortunately I've only just 2 days ago removed the additional screens along with other devices from my study to reduce heat output for upcoming summer so am unable to screen shot for you, bit the result (in the A10 & P51 at least) are nothing like the shots you've posted. All i see is ahead with excellent peripheral vision. ::edit:: OK, thought i must have taken a screen shot at some point in the past, and i found where they're kept. Interesting results, it seems my center monitor is captured in the screen shot, and then the additional monitors are shown as black space? Can only assume it captures the screen buffer for the primary display, but somehow includes the entire resolution in the JPG. Here are the results, doesn't help much i'm afraid. What i would have seen on screen is just that the picture, without any funny bending or angles extends left and right of what is shown in the screen shot.
  15. Hi gents, I started another thread recently adding how to get started with one or the other free head trackers. I was referred here. I have read through this thread but have not been able to out together a complete idea of how to get this working in DCS. Can anyone point me to a guide for a complete beginner? I have aPS3 can ready to mod, also have a Logitech cam. I have facetracknoir installed at the moment and irleds are on the way. Seems to be working so so in the app but in game the view just constantly rolls up. I have a feeling something else needs to be configured. Any advice appreciated.
  16. Yes, I've read through that thread and whilst it contains vague information relevant to someone tuning their setup, I found it more of a comparison of the merits of each alternative than an actual how to. I didn't want to derail it and thought an actual how to on free/low cost tracking deserved it's own thread. Once I have something working I might throw some comments into the other thread.
  17. Hi ppl, Have read around a little regarding the subject, and whilst i have found many posts i am still yet to find a post that gets me started. I did have one of them installed, Freetrack i think it was, and it appeared to be working in the app, but in BS2 the display just seemed to scroll up non stop. Can anyone point me to a beginners how to for free / low cost head tracking? I have a PS3 eyecam installed and working, am yet to remove the IR filter. I also have a HD logitech camera, but not sure of its frame rate. Do any DCS config files need to be edited. Are any plugins needed? Thanks.
  18. Has just come to my attention that DCS DLC is available on steam, at what is co-incidentally the same prices as the 'mistaken' sale announcement E-Mail. I'm not trying to upset mods or anyone else by posting this, but at the same time i think we should be entitled to discuss it. And if it can't be discussed here then it will be discussed elsewhere. It seem too co-incidental that they match, seems the ED/TFC had prior knowledge of this. And if this is indeed true then it is bad form. Additionally I am new to more serious flight sims and this has left a bad taste in my mouth. If we're all going to be friends and 'support' TFC & ED then they should be showing a lot more good will then they are at the moment. I have bought just about every module during the sale, and am obviously disappointed. However my disappointment will likely not come close to those whom have dumped a massive amount on pre-sale prices. It is hard to be positive and enthusiastic about the product when as a new comer all of this is happening. Please take onboard the above as my feelings and feedback ED / TFC. And to those whom don't agree with me then at lease respect my opinion and feelings on the matter.
  19. Thanks Ironhand, i have already downloaded that file but it is ~400 meg and the one the updater is downloading is ~ 3gig. They seem to be very different files. I have training videos visible in the FC3 menu, but the download link is still there so i am under the impression that there is something else that can be downloaded, maybe interactive training like A10C or a HD version of the videos? I think there may be another answer to this.
  20. When i click the "install (en)" in the FC3 F15C screen i get dumpped out of DCS world and this download starts. Is there anywhere i can download this file outside the DCS updater? A torrent would be ideal.
  21. Curious to know how this plays out. I've seen other places have a grace period where they will give you a store credit for the difference.
  22. Am yet to see an apology or an amended email. If this was accidental it should have been corrected immediately. Until an official email correction arrives it is a bait and switch as far as I'm concerned.
  23. I'm also confused. Have quoted the email I received below. At these prices im very interested, but at the prices online I'd have to limit my number of purchases. Also a side question, is there an option to buy all modules as a package?
  24. That sounds OK, thanks for clearing that up. Sounds like my best option to cut steam out of the equation is to hope steam do a sale on BS2 that includes AU, or get someone else to gift it to me.
  25. Forgetting BS2 specifically for the moment. What happens if someone were to purchase several DCS world modules on Steam and several modules outside of steam? You'd end up with 2 separate DCS worlds with 2 separate lots of installed modules? If that is the case it doesn't really make much sense, and would be annoying to administer. Whilst i'll agree ED make some nice products i don't have pockets deep enough to re-purchase a module, especially a module i have already handed over money for. And "wait until it is on sale on Steam" only works for some. Steam have a habbit of ripping of Australian buyers, and having sales that exclude Aussies. Ultimately it would be nice for any of us to have the choice of steam or non steam, and then be able to consolidate our modules either way. Now i must admit the only module i have is BS2, but all the install issues i had (see this thread) have put me off and wouldn't have happened if ED had been smarter about all of this. And my final argument? If humble indie bundle can issue steam keys for half a dozen products for $1 then surely i couldn't be that hard?
