Yes I know one can supercruise and the other cant. I know the raptor has thrust vectoring and the f-35 doesnt...woopdie doo, I am talking about the same armaments and combat abilites.

F-35A: US$48 million F-35B: US$62 million F-35C: US$63 million F-22: US$120 million as of 2006 Ya know, its funny you compare the price of the aircraft and wether it is for sale......how about compare the capabilities of the F-35 and F-22 together and leave out the STVOL ability....their the same exact jet.

nothing right now can replace the A-10....thats why its life has been extended to 2015+. :D The reason why i brought up the AV-8 Harrier and how the F-35 burns more than 40% is because its "A WASTE". I dont care what you guys say but the F-22 and F-35 are the same thing...one just has STVOL and the other doesnt. The Harrier burns more fuel on a vertical takeoff than an F-16 at full burner on takeoff. What do you think the F-35 will be like? Sorry but I dont feel like having to refuel 15 minutes after I takeoff.... @britgliderpilot- Yeah, I prolly would have a tomcat for every job they needed an aircraft for cause it will get the job done. :)

ya know, AMARC only has a rule against selling "Fighter" aircraft to civilians/etc. Guess that means I can buy an A-4, AV-8, A-10, B-1, etc. :D :D :D :D

i dont know, i might be able to work something out with the Head guy at AMARC cause ive spoken with him before......he might be able to chop off an F-14 canopy for me. :D From the list of destruction of the F-14's at AMARC, I heard somebody only say just 150 of them. Wouldnt mind me much if they were all F-14A's because they are pretty old and served well. The F-14B's and D's were my favorite with the shiny burner plates. :D

just a response to one of the guys over at Tomcat Sunset forums 2 or 3 years ago the Congress was complaining about the over spending of security at AMARC because it is a "boneyard" and there is no reason to protect the retired aircraft. NOW, they complain about how little of security there is and more random bull****........congress..............makes me sick in how stupid people can be.

Yes, I would love to see them all be put in museums and you have no idea how many would love to get their hands on one. But, no, gotta scrap them even when Iran has no ability to get parts... I was just in Oregon for vacation and checked out the Evergreen Aerospace Museum there in McMinnville and saw AJ106 (F-14D Felix 106 of VF-31) just sitting out behind a fence waiting to be put in the new hanger being built which made me happy. What are they going to do with the F-4's and F-111's at AMARC???? they use just about the same stuff that is available for Iran to get and yet they dont touch them.
