  1. Yes please, that would be great. In the screenshot posted by PigPen I can see the flaps can be deployed to the Take-Off position, but not more (like full flaps = trailing edge main flap droops 47 degrees, ailerons droop 45 degrees down)? Also, only the trailing edge flaps seem to be deployed on the FSX Hornet, not so the leading edge flaps, yes? Excuse me for bothering, but can somebody definately confirm that you can manually select half or full flaps in the FSX Hornet, and the flaps are deployed then like on the real F/A-18? That is what I am interested about. There are three settings for the flaps on the real Hornet, which are AUTO, HALF and FULL. Auto is for cruising flight, half is for take-off and full for landing. During each of the three selections the leading and trailing edge droop is varying according to MACH and AOA.
  2. TorwaK, when do you think you will be able to post those screenshots? I am just curious. Hope you don't mind me asking! :smilewink:
  3. Hello TorwaK, thanks for posting these screenies. One thing I still have to see is a screenshot of that FSX Hornet with half or full flaps deployed. Would you mind posting a screenie showing exactly this? That would be great, because up to this day I was not able to get solid information whether the flaps work like on the real thing. Thank you!
  4. Which do you mean, these?: http://lockon.co.uk/img/technology/FA-18-25.jpg http://lockon.co.uk/img/technology/FA-18-wing-mech-01.jpg http://lockon.co.uk/img/technology/FA-18-X-ray.jpg or these?: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/Rhinehornet/lo_fa18_6.jpg Well, as you may conclude by my nickname, I am a little biased. But I have to concur that ED's exterior model of the F/A-18A Hornet is still the best I have seen for simulators anywhere. It is such a pity it is not flyable . So my vote of course goes to the Hornet. The Legacy Hornet that is (the models A to D). It looks a lot sexier than the Superhornet, IMHO. Someone in this poll thread mentioned the Hornet could not be modelled, since a lot of it is still classified. Well, I am not too sure about that, since there is already the complete Super Hornet Flight Manual online available - for free! Did any of you see the Hornet of the FSX acceleration pack? The virtual cockpit and systems modelling looks to be top notch, the exterior model though has a lot of errors, Captain Sim are not very good in creating exterior models properly/faithfully. ED's Hornet model is the best out there. And how are you guys all doing!? I haven't been to this forum a loooong time. If there'll be a Hornet as add-on for BS, I'll be back in business with you fighter jocks. :D
