  1. Everything I can find on the P-47D-30. P-47D-30 "The D-30 saw the largest production run of any version of the Thunderbolt, with 2,600 built between the two Republic factories. The most importance chance was the addition of dive breaks under the wing, designed to slightly slow the speed of the Thunderbolt in the dive in an attempt to reduce the problems caused by the very high speeds achieved." http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_P-47D.html The P-47D-30 was equipped with the C-23 turbo. Which I literally can't find anything about it. How can a P-47D-30 maintain 2600hp all the way up to 29,000ft? The Turbo surely has to spin faster than 22,000rpm. But the high speed at 29,000ft perfects matches the estimated 32,000ft high speed and the ACTUAL lower altitude highspeeds. This is shown in Narushima's modified chart. *EDIT* Obviously, the P-47D-30's C-23 Turbo wouldn't spin any faster than the other models, all it would have to do is spin at its maximum RPM at a lower altitude to maintain 2600hp at 29,000ft. While the P-47D-25's Turbo A-17/A-23 would only have to spin at 22,000rpm at 31,000ft. I'm assuming this P-47D-30 is tested with 150 Grade fuel. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/mustang/Comparative_Fighter_Performance.jpg This is Narushima's chart modified. *This purple line is estimated.*
  2. ATM the P-51D top speeds seem to be fine to me. What didn't seem right was the ALT for the Low blower stage, it is too low.
  3. Okay, after flying some P-51 against the Bf-109K4 AI, I've found out that the P-51 can out dive and out zoom the K4 quite easily. When I'm zooming I find that closing my coolant radiator increases the zoom and dive advantage gap further. Personally I've got a crappy ass setup, so my gunnery skills are beyond terrible. But I've put myself in multiply situations within one battle where the K4 was at lower speeds and I was diving on him. I'm pretty sure I would of been able to kill him with a better joystick and some rudder pedals, but unfortunately I just couldn't land a lethal shot. Even if I did land a couple of hits, it wouldn't do anything because it was single player. If it were multiplayer, the player would be experiencing all sorts of engine problems, hopefully. So I think my theory would work out even better against a real player. Its not really my theory, its just PURE BNZ. Always keep the fight at high speeds unless you are pulling off a hammer head, immelmann or vertical reversal. Never ever stay close to a K4 unless you are trying to shoot it. I try to gain separation from the K4 before making any maneuvers, which is usually around 1.5-2km away. At Equal ALT and Energy coming straight on at each other. The first thing you want to do is go into a slight dive and gain some speed. As you pass the K4 try to gain some distance. 1, If the K4 does a split S, this just makes things easier. Follow number 3. 2, If the K4 turns and burns, this just makes things easier. Follow number 3. 3, if the K4 pulls up into an aggressive climb, pull up into a 45 degree angle zoomclimb until you hit 400kph. Then do a vertical reversal. You should be slightly higher than him, but he should be heading directly towards you. Try your best to avoid the head on, and dive under him. At this moment the K4 is too slow to do a immelmann, but is still capable of doing a turn or a split S to gain some speed. But right now regardless of what move he makes, you should be faster than him. Gain some distance, do another vertical reversal, and you should be almost 150kph faster than him. Dive under him again then gain distance and you should be almost 2km away from him. Do another vertical reverse, avoid head on, but this time slowly pull up into a steep 90 degree. Stall out, nose down, drop some flaps, fire. A this moment he should be just stalling out, in a perfect scenario, you should be able to see the top of his aircraft. In multiplayer hopefully you should be able to destroy something vital so he loses performance dramatically. Then the fight is yours. I don't know the top speed of the Bf-109K4 at SL, but the Mustang has a top speed of 590kph and 612kph with the coolant radiator closed. I was able to push the 1650-7 for ~6 minutes at 67"Hg with coolant radiator closed before the engine blew. Usually BNZ becomes easier when you are heavier and faster than your enemy. SL-590, 612 2750m, Low blower- 650, 666 7500m,High blower- 706, the engine died after 30 seconds with coolant radiator closed. I've got a really crappy Joystick, so your speeds may be up to a couple of kph faster than my results.
  4. P-51D All data tested at 67"Hg, 3000rpm, 68% fuel ALT, Open radiator, closed radiator SL, 590 - 612 2750m, Low blower 650 - 666 7500m, High blower 706 - the engine died after 30 seconds with coolant radiator closed. I've got a really crappy Joystick, so your speeds may be up to a couple of kph faster than my results.
  5. This is the latest image of the entire P-47 which was released back in Sept 2014 Dorsal fin and Hamilton propeller :) Wing racks for Bombs and Rockets.
  6. I was dog fighting a couple of JG clan members in their K4s and Fw-190D9s at once, it was a free for all. I've noticed the P-51 with some flaps seems to have no problem turning inside of a Bf-109. But of course the only thing a Bf-109K4 pilot has to do out run you, out climb you or engage flaps as well. What I've noticed is that my P-51D, even with the radiator open, I was able to easily outdive the Bf-109. The Bf-109 was chasing me in a dive and he was slowing down while I was still accelerating. That means a lot when it comes to BNZ dogfighting. But I haven't played to much against the Bf-109K4 so I don't know how well it would be to BNZ the Bf-109K4. I can only imagine if the Bf-109K4 knows you're BNZing, its only going to make you pull maneuvers to bring you down to his speed. When you say One on One, do you mean the same odds? Or are you starting with the advantage of altitude or speed? IMO, if its just a One on One there is not a chance of killing Bf-109 pilot that knows what they are doing. When they said they were developing the Bf-109K4, I knew that was end game for the P-47D-30 and P-51D. IMO, the Bf-109 is superior to the American planes at lower altitude, which is where all the dog fighting is in the game. I think when they release some AI B-17s to defend at high altitude, the P-51D and P-47D will start to even out grounds with the Bf-109 and easily out preform the Fw-190D9. The Spitfire seems to be the only counter to the Bf-109K4 with its superior rate of climb and turning radius. The only advantage the Bf-109K4 would have is its much greater speed, which would still make it very competitive. The P-47D-30 would even stand a chance against any of the aircraft at low altitude, and they would only be butchering it further if they made the pylons permanent. I would love to know how you fight a Fw-190D9.
  7. Alright thanks guys! Looks like I'll be getting CH Fighterstick and the later one upgrade it with a 12bit MMjoy
  8. That doesn't look very easy to me xD. Is there any video?
  9. Currently I'm using a Satiek Fly 5, will i notice a difference if I buy a CH fighterstick? My current stick is crap and is degrading. All I'm looking for is for the stick to be able to make more precise movements. Something that is so precise that I don't need to set a curve for. The X-52 and X-55 are unreliable(from varies reviews) just like my Fly 5. I've heard terrible things about the X-55, so that isn't even an option. I've also heard some terrible things about the X-52. I'm looking for a well built stick that is going to last. I'm not interested in the Warthog because of its insane price and heavy spring. I'm looking for a mid-range stick and the only thing I can find on the market that is good is the CH Products which are from the damn 90s. There is literally nothing to buy other than the warthog. This is my stick http://i.imgur.com/SbJn0QR.png
  10. So do the bits really matter or is it the points of resolution? I'm looking for very precise movements. My current joystick has (181 points of resolution) and even when setting a curve it is nearly impossible to air refuel in the F-15C.
  11. Alright thanks! Any idea when the Fighterstick variant was made?
  12. I'm about to order this stick over the X-55 and Thrust master Warthog. Before I order it, can someone tell me the resolution of this stick? I'm upgrading from a Saitek Fly 5 and one of my biggest concerns is the lack of precise movements I can make with this stick. For example my stick has a resolution of (32703 x 32703). Honestly I'm not even sure if that's the true resolution or the game limitation of Aces High. Warthog has 16-bit precision (65536 x 65536 values). The X-55 is also a 16-bit stick. I couldn't find my stick resolution anywhere on the internet, so I used the method of downloading Aces High. Practice offline>Options>Controls>Map Controls. Thanks.
  13. Can you do one for the Bf-109K4 module?
  14. Alright awesome. I was actually looking for that.
  15. If you look at these 2 picture, you can see that the P-47D will have dive recovery flaps and a maximum manifold pressure of 64.5"Hg. So the P-47D-3* will have 44-1 fuel? http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=113686&d=1425053400 http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=113688&d=1425053414 http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-47/P-47D_42-26167_Power.jpg
  16. I was curious of what the top speed of the P-47 would be without wing pylons. I found that the Fw-190 found a 8-10kph increase in speed with the removal of its ETC 504(Which is located under the fuselage. By using common sense, it would only make sense if the P-51 had a better increase of speed because the Mustang has 2 pylons under each wing of roughly the same size of the Fw-190's ETC 504. I found a 20kph increase in speed with the removal of the P-51B's pylons. So knowing that the P-47's pylons are nearly 3 times the size of the P-51's pylons; what would be the speed increase if we were able to remove the pylons on the P-47. Or are all tests on the P-47 completed without wing pylons. Also, it would nice to remove the pylons because I'd like to fly my P-47 purely like a fighter. Thanks http://www.warbirddepot.com/dbimages/33/33-a-1280.jpg

  18. For a while now I've been gaming at 1440x900 19", which is a tiny resolution. I didn't think it was that bad until I noticed I couldn't spot planes nearly as well as my friends who play at 1080p. I thought my high pixel density justified my smaller resolution. Kinda like when your friend would say "Hey come over, I've got a giant TV!" But the image quality is that of a small 30" TV at 360p, but stretched out to 55". So it just looks awful. But even a 27" monitor looks pretty good at 1080p. So I was thinking instead of getting a 1080p monitor, how about I get a 4K monitor at ~29". That would be an upgrade from 1296000 pixels to all the way to 8264400 pixels. Over 6 times my currently resolution. That is a better upgrade than going from 480p to 1080p. My biggest problem right now is my graphics card, currently I'm using a GTX 960 2GB edition. I regret buying this Nvidia card now that I'm looking 4K gaming I should of went with the R9 290. Another reason why I'm going 4K is that AMD(mostly) and Nvidia are pushing 4K pretty hard. We've pretty much just skipped 1440p and are going to 4K. So for anyone who has a 4K monitor and is playing DCS, can you share your FPS, settings and GPUs. For now I'm only looking to play games at medium settings at 4K for 2-0AA. I'm not trying to max anything out. Also, I don't play any insane triple A titles, so I really only care about DCS and IL2 BoS. Even by looking at 4K medium settings on BF4, pretty much every card is getting amazing FPS(By the way, look at the R9 290X preformance, at launch it was no better than a GTX 780, but it just shows you just how much AMD has improved their drivers.) Hopefully, I can get my hands on a R9 290 or a R9 390. Also if you could be kind of enough to tell me your FPS, on medium to highest settings without AA. Obviously at 4K. Thank you. http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph8526/67718.png 1440x900(19")=89 dpi 1280x720(32")=46 dpi 1920x1080(21.5")=102 dpi 1920x1080(22")=100 dpi 1920x1080(23")=96 dpi 1920x1080(24")=92 dpi 1920x1080(27")=82 dpi 1920x1080(42")=52 dpi 1920x1080(52")=42 dpi 2560x1080(25")=103 dpi 2560x1440(27")=109 dpi 2560x1080(29")=96 dpi 3840x2160(25")=176 dpi 3840x2160(28")=157 dpi
  19. Bahahahahahahahahaha! No matter how many times I play the video in x0.5 speed I still can't catch what he said.
  20. P-47D-30. I'm just curious what the P-47D-30 will be rated at.. 2300hp, 2535hp, 2600hp, 2800hp?
  21. At what hours and what days is your server most active at?
  22. I like the propeller hub cover for the double twister :)

  24. I haven't flown the P-51D above 7500m in online so far, so I don't know for sure if the Dora over takes the P-51D at 7500m. Unfortunately the the highest I've ever flown was probably 4000m. There is pretty much no point in having an advantage at high altitude, since the current dogfights only take place below 3000m. Having some AI B-17s or B-24s to escort would be glorious
