@MYSE1234 Hey bud, can you please take a look at the files included in the "HUD font size mod"? They do not seem to work anymore with the current version of our Mirage. Something must have changed as the HUD is not displayed anymore using this mod with the currrent version. Thank you in advance...

DCS hangs on launch when using a resolution lower than native
Tango3B replied to icedstar's topic in General Bugs
This does it. Thx bud. I had this problem for the first time in my life since the last patch, my DCS wouldn´t even start anymore even though my system is absolutely up to date. I do not even want to speculate what might be wrong here since the last patch but your solution does it. You basically made my day, bud. I owe you one... -
Before I decide to pre-order the MiG-29, I need an answer to the following question. Does the MiG-29 come with all Radar and IRST modes available at EA release or not? This question is absolutely decisive for my purchase decision, since I am absolutely unwilling to buy any new module that goes into EA with only half the radar modes available and will only be at an acceptable level in two to three years. Sadly, I have seen this too many times now. So, simple question, since other developers actually managed to achieve this at EA release. Is the functionality of Radar and IRST at Early Access release complete or not?

Thank you for finally making it possible for "Request Awacs Declare" to be available as a direct input. It may only look like a small detail on the side for some. It is tremendously helpful in PvP now. And ultimately, it is so much more pleasant not to have to click through the Comms menu anymore. Simple and efficient solution, that's how I like it. Well done, Aerges.

So, after a day of intensive testing after work, I would like to give a brief contribution to the evaluation of the DCS Iraq map. Appropriately, I am currently in Arbil on official business with the German Air Force, which is also part of the map that has just been released. In short, the city with its centralized ring layout is beautifully implemented in DCS, I can actually confirm that here and now. ;-D To be more precise, the entire map is actually a statement that speaks for DCS and its future development. Take a look at Lake Thartar. Simply brilliant. The map shows a new technology that is unparalleled. You have depressions, you have ravines and mountain valleys... plus slight elevations and depressions in the terrain. Plus the sensational, new fog system, which creates a simply beautifully implemented atmosphere even in the AUTO setting. Everything is there. And everything is implemented in a way that has never been seen before. I have never seen anything like it outside of military simulators. And the performance is still absolutely top class. My computer will be 4 years old next year. Time to upgrade, sure, I know. Nevertheless, DCS in the current version, but especially Iraq, runs beautifully smoothly on my computer. Please just look at the region between Iran, Suleimaniyah, Kirkuk, Arbil, Bashuhr and Mosul. It simply cannot be better. That's a 10/10. Sure, the map still has a way to go, I don't want to fool anyone there. But it is already a definite recommendation. Clear points of criticism here are night lighting, the road network and transitions in the landscape. The water color of rivers cannot stay the same either. The water color needs to be programmed to be more of a green-brown color. But what can I say... videos say more than words. So please just watch the performance yourself in my video, I have prepared a somewhat longer video for you that should actually cover all questions about performance. My specs are pretty much rubbish these days...the computer is an I9-10900 with 32 GB, plus an RTX 3060 and luckily an extremely fast Samsung NVMe with 4TB. The performance is really good though. But please take a look yourself...here is the link (it's currently uploading, so Full HD might be available a little bit later. Thx for your patience. ;-D) : https://youtu.be/Xyo7mCy44sc **Edit: In the video I fly the Mirage 2000C. ED, if I had one request and one Christmas wish for you, then please ensure that this module is never restricted in its range of functions, but remains exactly as it is now. Please take care of this, no matter how the situation with Razbam develops. Thank you.**

So, after a day of extensive testing on my system, a short maneuver review. I have to say, DCS not only looks incredibly good after the new patch, the performance is also sensational. I just flew a short circuit in the new F-5 around Cyprus on the Syria map and even my wife stood there in amazement. I take this as the ultimate indicator for confirmation of visual beauty, by the way...! ;-D Yes, what can you say. I am happy. I just wish the F-5 in particular would get a few more features. Hey, I mean, at the end of the day I would have even added an extra $5-10 to the actual price for Mavericks, 4 Sidewinders, a new radio and VOR/ILS. Personally, I would like something more to come. A big request in this case! And please ED, please do this kind of rework with the F-86F and the MiG-15 too. The two modules definitely deserve such a rework. With that in mind...have a nice weekend everyone and have fun with the new patch...

A short debriefing on the revised F-5. First of all, I would like to thank you for taking a look at the somewhat outdated jets again at ED. The F-5 has turned out really nice. The cockpit and exterior model look really good. And if I may say so, the skin for the Austrian Air Force is really cool. Thanks for that. BUT: the rework should have included a new radio and at least the VOR/ILS system. Unfortunately, as a package it is a bit thin. And what I personally find worst of all...the radar still uses the old and unfortunately unbelievably ugly clutter model. The sweep isn't really pretty either. And that is even more noticeable now with the new and really nice cockpit. You can't leave it like that at ED... at least you have to rework the clutter and sweep. There is now even a MOD that does it better and makes it much more beautiful. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the IC when using said MOD. So please consider to improve this. Otherwise, a big thank you for the rework.

Interesting. Login seems to be a tad slow but apart from that, all seems to be normal on my side. Maybe it´s due to higher traffic related to Thanksgiving?

Yes you can. That´s what I do...

Just tested and confirmed. I would even go so far as to say that 3.8.10 almost completely eliminates ghosting in DCS. At least it does on my system. Looks really good. In any case, I would suggest that this nvngx_dlss.dll be included in future updates as a significant improvement is observable. I would kindly request that ED test this version more thoroughly and then consider including this version in future patches if necessary.

Dear AERGES team, first of all, a big thank you for the wonderful last patch. I can only say it again and again, the F1 is one of the best modules in DCS. But let's talk briefly about the SPAD system. For those who don't know, SPAD is the anti-skid system. It works rather suboptimally in DCS. Let's take the F-4 for a quick comparison...if I turn off the anti-skid, then I get roughly the same braking behavior as the F1 - but with SPAD active! That is absolutely not okay and fundamentally unsafe...sorry, but an anti-skid system usually feels different. My question now is, is SPAD so extremely bad in the F1 and therefore correctly simulated, or is there something else coming? As a patch, I mean? I think since all the other systems are so extremely well simulated, this question is absolutely justified. In any case, thank you in advance, AERGES.
