I'll add this...why the F-16? Because it's what the customer wants and what will sell! I'm thinking that's not a strange concept. I assume that still matters in the business world and I'm sure developers are pretty interested in producing a product that sells and creates an interest in DCS World as a whole. 461 or 11.36% of the voters would love to see the F-16 and believe that it will take DCS to a new level, just as it did for BMS and just as the A-10C did for DCS. Not to mention 90% of all the voters will more than probably...no, correction...WILL for sure purchase the module. So you can produce the F11F-1 Tiger or the Cessna 172 because you enjoy the work but I'm pretty sure you're not going to get a lot of attention with it and it's not going to do much for your bottom line. By the way I'm a big supporter of the Eurofighter and Rafale as well and think they would be extremely popular but if you think it's hard to get info or talk to personnel associated with the F-16... The F1 Mirage or the GR9/AV-8 Harrier would be nice additions. How do you guys feel about either of them? :)

Whatever maps are created in the future, keep them REAL! A fictional map has been suggested but I feel it would take away from the entire atmosphere that DCS has created. I'm patient and believe that at some point additional maps will be created at a much faster pace then what we've seen up to this point. As the EA Sports motto goes with a slight adjustment...If it's in the world it's in DCS! Okay, maybe not that creative but you get the gist.

Any word on a fix for this AI landing issue? Is ED aware of the problem?

I read somewhere that the Marines were seriously interested in the F-14 Tomcat when it first entered service with the Navy. The issue was the Tomcat was designed solely for air to air combat and the Marines needed a multi-role fighter. Grumman wasn't willing to accommodate, so they stayed with the Phantom until the F/A-18C entered service.

Hey Imp, I guess I failed to see where you're the HMIC!! I must have missed that segment in the ED Forum Conduct Agreement or they, being ED, just haven't realized how important you are yet. I must have also missed the fact that I have to peruse every Mig-21 thread before I have the freedom to post a similar one. However, I did see something about RUDE CONDUCT! This thread pertains to having a Mig that has the survivability and functionality in a modern aerial combat environment. Not to mention the long term entertainment value of an A-10C or F/A-18C. Here's a novel idea, if you don't like the thread or feel it's redundant then just move on and don't post a response at all. Now, the "plane" I really want is the F-16, so there's my "please make the plane I want thread instead" Tool! :thumbup:

I ran across this video the other day on YouTube and thought I'd share it with everyone. First off, thank you Leatherneck for an amazing airplane in the Mig-21 and a major contribution to DCS and our hobby. Secondly, wouldn't this 21 be an airplane that even the modern fighter pilots would have to respect, both now and future releases? (Maybe even an F-16). Not to mention the generations of aviation in DCS that it could cover. Just a thought... :pilotfly:

More detailed and dynamic infantry units, way better AI and more options overall for all ground units. More options for the Mission Designer and a dynamic Campaign Designer.

Are we ever going to see the Su-25, Mig-29 and Su-27 airplanes designed with the same quality as the Mig-21bis and A-10C? Maybe even updated avionics and weapon's systems?

Hi! just wondering if you're going to include a couple HD Georgian Air Force liveries, fictional or not?? Just because they once operated the 21 and because it's obviously a primary country in the Caucasus map.

F-16!!! Arguably the best multi-role fighter EVER made. This should have been released years ago. It will take DCS to the next level.

I agree with the expanded Georgia map but a little further into Turkey, definitely to Istanbul.

What about adding rain effects to the cockpits of the aircraft? I think this was implemented in FS2004 at one point and it was a really nice feature. Are there any plans of adding actually infantry soldiers in the DCS World? Having the ability to see large groups of soldiers, (Regiments, Division, etc), when they're deployed. Maybe giving us the opportunity to be any member of the infantry or paratrooper unit, in the role of first person shooter. Troops could be deployed via helicopters or transport airplanes. Now we could start talking about a true multi-role combat environment-online. Who wouldn't like to see a CH-47 or 53 and a C-130, C-17, C-5, II-76, AN-124, 225, etc.
