  1. I use the same workaround with the Logitech Gaming Software. I even use it with the other planes. Otherwise i'd have to enable and disable the software whenever changing planes. Still it would be nice not to have to use a surplus software running in the background.
  2. I was browsing the sound files the other day and noticed that in the folder where the radio dialogue files are stored, theres a version for every major country: french, british, american-english, spanish, german you name it.´ Ingame however you always get either the american-english voice or the russion voice for your own pilot regardless of the country you selected for yourself (or in the ME for that matter). Does anyone know if it is at all possible to change your voice to a specific accent? cheers Valken
  3. This may be obvious but also be sure that the airfield your landing on/take off from is on your coalition (e.g. red/blue).
  4. Shoot enemys down and fly your tanks dry. Seriously, no idea.
  5. It should just count as death! Nothing else. Dying is punishment enough for your mistake. Cheers Valken
  6. I suspected as much. Thanx for the info guys. Cheers Valken
  7. Thanx for the replies. Let's hope EDGE gets here...this year :smilewink:
  8. I noticed that the TDC on the radar can not be moved when you use some of the radar jamming filters (don't recall the names but it's the first two buttons from the left top row). If you reset the radar filters the TDC does work again as expected. Anyone else noticed this? cheers Valken
  9. Hello everyone, When comparing the screenshots and vids from the sabre with my actual ingame plane, the surface of the plane is alot shiny'er in the screens and vids. Are they taken in EDGE? Or am I missing something? Sorry if this was answered before, couldn't find it. cheers Valken
  10. Also killing yourself while dive-bombing gets you a "fracticide" and resets all stats to zero. Plus you get a friendly AA kill scored in the logbook. Wouldn't mind counting "suicides" though
  11. Don't know if this one is already posted somewhere, could'nt find it. When engaging ground units with bombs, upon releasing the bombs and then crashing into the ground afterwards because of a too steep dive angle () I get the message "you have commited fracticide". I think the game registers hitting myself with the bombs due to shrapnel and then crashing into the ground killing a friendly unit, namely myself. If at all it should be saying "you have comitted suicide" :D. I think this should be fixed because your stats are being reset in the logbook due to friendly kills. It's not that bad at the moment because of the logbook being broke anyway but still... cheers Valken
  12. Still the same after update 3. Otherwase nice updated Mig
  13. Actually I find it smoother. "Feels" more like a plane and not a bouncing tennis-ball on the take off roll. I think you might just be accustomed to the pre update 3 take off physics. Just give it a few more runs.
  14. Update is up in the release version. Thx LN and ED. Greets Valken
  15. Very nice! Thanks!
  16. It would be good to know if this is still WIP or if we are doing something wrong or if it is a bug. I experienced the same thing that the pod does not recognize a radar lock if i'm clearly locked up. Also the dispenser does not fire automatically (which it can't if it detects no lock actually). Documentation would be very helpful on how to properly use it. greets Valken
  17. Same for me. greets Valken
  18. Same setup with same error here. The pipper in the ASP seems to disappear or sometimes flicker also and move erratically up and down. Shooting the S24 works though. If you put the gunsight in Manual mode the pipper shows up correctly but then you have to manually dial in the angle. greets Valken
  19. This reflection is not only very nice but also could be very useful in spotting distant fighters in the sky. greets Valken
  20. Yes. It's not a big issue overall but it still strikes me as a bug. When pressing the throttle up button (or down respectively) on my pad (which is mapped to throttle up/down (joystick)) i get the typical button "click" sound in a loop. But the throttle lever in the cockpit does not move (throttling up with the keybord command works fine by the way). I can only map the throttle up/down (joystick) command to my pad, not the normal throttle up/down command which seems to be only mappable to the keybord. Could this be a bug? Right now I use the logitech gaming software to simulate the keybord command on my pad which works fine. greets Valken
  21. These are nice tutorials. Already liked your videos about information of the airplane and the loadouts! This is probably more of a general question rather than specific to the 21 but could you make a tutorial about tactics to defeat incoming IR and radar guided missiles? I know it's a tall order and maybe there is not THE way to do it, but still I think it would be nice for a vid with basic countermeasure tactics. Keep up the good work greets Valken

    Gun cam

The Mission Editor idea sounds like a good compromise. Would be nice if the gun cam actually could record shooting down bandits with the gun though... Like this: The gun cam adds a nice challenge when trying to land at night in bad weather conditions with electrical systems failure...:D greets Valken
  23. I'm running a GTX 680 coupled with an I7 3930k @ 4,2 GHz, DCS is on an SSD. I can confirm that since I updated my drivers the fps increased from around 37 to 47 in cockpit on the ground (Training Mission Cold Startup).# The 21 is an absolute beauty to fly and look at :)! And now that it runs even smoother its like touching a perfectly formed, silky-smooth 24 year old female buttocks ! Can't wait for the performance fix coming around the corner. It has been said a thousand times by now but I think one can't say it enough with this sim: "Thank you LN for such a beautiful craftet flight sim!" The 21 brought me back from the crushing depth of flight sim absence :joystick:. Last time I flew around was in ubisofts original Lock On. Can't believe it took me so long to get back in the saddle :pilotfly:. greets Valken
  24. Hello everybody, First let me say what a fantastic sim this is. I've been with DCS, and Lock On before that, right from the start but never went active in the community up until now to my regret. I have a Logitech RumblePad 2 for when I'm flying just for fun an always have the Thrust up/down binded to keys on the pad (which works perfectly on the other DCS modules). Now in the settings for Mig-21bis you can bind Throttle Up and Down (Joystick), but it does not seem to work. Is this a bug? Or am I missing something obvious? greets Valk
