DCS Update - 1.2.10.32095.521 Fails.
Rocky49 replied to Mrmaverick's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Skate, I think you are right....Update should be 1410.5 but I only got 1029. So maybe thats why it can't update? Exact same error message with respect to posts above about SU 25T. No mods, Microsoft Essential, Missing my F-86 and Dora Modules. Weird -
Wasey No problem, getting antsy because of release of all the new modules, plus also on a waiting list for rudder pedals :smilewink: as long as I'm still on your list all OK...sounds like you have a lot of interest in your mod

Any news on next batch delivery eta

Sith You are right, it can hang off it's prop. Notice it has a proportionally large rudder and still can't handle the torque.:music_whistling:

My experience with the 190 led me to explore my Saitek pro rudder pedals setup. I descovered that there is a very slight spiking occurred around my center point. Added with the strong detent type of manufacture (around the self centering point) with Saitek rudders causes too much inconsistant imputs occurring right at the point of crusial right rudder imput. Most of us are over coming this by using very rappid and continuous left and right rudder imputs (or dancing the rudders, as some have described it) to try and dampen out these inconsistant spikes in our hardware. In real life I have only used this technique rarely when landing in gusting conditions. Just my 2 cents worth. BTW, ordered some Crosswind rudders from Milan. I bet those rudders with their much more consistant imput control do need any dancing, just small right rudder imputs.
-
Twilight Have done all the adjusting you spoke of...Saitek's product is not up to tis task, at least mine is not. Been using it for a 4 years and it has some spiking around the center area i have put in a deadzone to cope with it but only the movements I decribed get me up to enough speed to have rudder authority in a normal way
-
So, the only way to go to zero assist, at least for me and my saitek pro rudder is to use EXTREME rapid, right and left rudder imputs until I can get the nose more or less level around 150 kph. i have been PPL since 1977 and never ever have seen that technique needed by any real life situation I beleive my problem is due to the Saitek's interaction with DCS but don't think I can prove that:music_whistling: you should be able to find the right amount of constant rudder imput that will hold the nose straight, that is my real life experience
-
Nervous, No problem, but I guess the main issue with this hobby is you never know how your hardware is going to interact with the developers software:music_whistling: only way I can pull back further is to fall off backwards:smilewink: do not know about the slaw device you use. Saitek are really a lower end product but there are few options out there right now..I am looking into the Crosswind currently
-
Hey Nervous You should look to see if posters have some experience before making comments like you did. Of Course I have looked over my settings. I do not use curves etc. I may very well have a hardware problem with my Rudder but as a very experienced flightsimmer (20 years) plus also being a PP I have some idea about configuring my equipment:music_whistling: Don't ,s they say in the southern USA,try to tell your grandma how to suck eggs

I am starting to feel that there maybe a problem with my Rudder pedals (Saitek pro flight) The last two Modules, Dora And Sabre I have had issues with my own made missions in Mission Editor having serious issues with Rudder Inputs. I have had to delete missions and start over and then the rudder works (somewhat) I frequently check the status and properties for the Saitek on my desktop computer, Windows 7 Pro. Have put in a deadzone because I suspect a little spikyness near the center point of the rudder movement. On a related point hovering with the Huey is also a bitch with this rudder. Investigation continues but I am looking at the MFG Rudders
-
What I find weird is that I can set the TO assist to 1% and take off with no issues at all, go to 0% not a chance. Any touch on right rudder takes me hard right, then correcting left rudder no matter how slight totally pulls me too hard left. I use a satiek rudder and have a slight dead zone set up. I can't See how 1 % can make such a difference but it does:huh:

"On the Range" Tutorial Series featuring the A-10C
Rocky49 replied to Bunyap's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Bunyup Can you tell me how you built the Range you use? -
Thanks, Sith
-
Got a offer of refund today:thumbup: where can I check what a/c I requested?
-
Thanks Sith. Guess I just wanted to fly something new, although my favourite a/c is the F-86 not the Dora..just hope that Edge will be released with the Sabre:thumbup:
-
Well, i kind of screwed up. Bought the Dora on the fiirst day, forgetting I had already "bought" it with my funding payment :music_whistling:
-
In any event still needs it's own forum now! Too much about this a/c spread into the WWII forums and it really is a a stand alone project like P 51.
