Hamblue Are you saying that your throttle setting matches when you start the quick missions? I always need to move my throttle when joining a flight in the air because the throttle setting does not match where my throttle is set....i ususally move the throttle up towards max but the aircraft may be already at a reduced throttle setting so my guessament of where to place the throttle may be off so I move my throttle to sinc it with the current actual setting...make sense to you?

Well it may have something to do with how windows handles each instal, who knows, but I have experienced the in flight throttle behavour since getting my wh in dec 2011.

Having to "sinc" the throttles since beta days of A10-C whiile joining a mission in flight is in my experience, normal. The problem in the cold start is likely an error in your procedure. What checklist do you follow? I always ensure that the throttles are confirmed to be over the stopgate before starting my checklist. I also move my joystick and rudder through their full range of motion to ensure they are working correctly. I learned to do that during my ppl days so it is second nature to me.:smilewink:

Well, it appears that the top speed of the Mi-8 is about 260 or 250 kph depending which site you go to. As previously stated earlier in this thread, top speed of Huey is about 135 knots, so they are so close that essentually they are the same::)

Lizzard Changed the input to \ worked!!! I had copied the setup from thread on this forum to set up Warthog for the Huey....the ralt \ is to select the comns for the pilot but does not activate properly the easy communications sub routine. Thanks again:thumbup:

Lizzard...I will have a look at that binding but as far as I know \ has always been for easy comns..thanks for your input.

Does Easy Communications work in Huey? I used Ralt * \ to set up the trigger on my Warthog Joystick but all of the Airports for ATC are blacked out. How come.

Guys Got my Computer back and DCS runs great with my new GTX 660 OC!!! Frame rates in the mid 60's, all old Mission Editor missions run perfect. I now have a 128 GB SSD for DCS and other games so access speed is under 40 seconds.:thumbup:

Guys: Got my Computer back and all works great....It was my old Video Card. My frame rates are in the mid 60's so all real good. Now I have to decide to update to 1.26???

My computer was acting exactly as yours is, black screens and had to reboot, sounds of game still running on the black screen. Took my computer to the store that I had built at. They found under stress testing that the video card, a GTX 295 x 2, was the issue. I am getting it back latter today.

Had a simular experience recently, turned out it was my video card starting to fail

So it looks like my GTX 295 is failing...I had hoped to get to next winter with my setup but not to be...I am replacing it with an Asus GTX660 OC and because of all the new modules coming in the next little while also installing a Plexor M5 Extreme, 128 GB as a dedicated DCS drive. Should have it back tomorrow!

It was a random type of crash, but I did notice every time I tried to fly the P51D in any mission editor flight would crash, usually right after the start of the mission. All drivers are up to date, no programs, other than TIR5 is running. I did have an update issue last month with the major security update issued by Microsoft. I did a restore and I thought things were all right but snice I posted the original post in this thread I decided to take my computer into my computer provider because of other windows issues so maybe that Windows problem maybe the problem.. When I get it back I will post if they found an issue...
