It had me confused also, the main point of that thread was about the delay of the SC module and it ended without anything new about it. Time to move on from it. I guess we have to wait until they are ready to showcase it. The normal "cycle of events" is to start hammering PR for about two weeks prior to release. I am tempering my expectations for something similar to what has been done in the past. Steve

Wags, Thank you for the update. I am glad that although it may take a bit longer, you and the team are not compromising features just to get the product out of the door. I look forward to flying in DCS as a close simulation of the aircraft. Please continue with the communication throughout development and be open and honest with the challenges the team is facing. We understand that it is extremely difficult to develop such high fidelity products. Personally, I would like to see more of the system features added sooner than the new weapons. Thanks, Steve

Well, reading between the lines, it's 4/22 and close to the end of the month. I do not see it being released in the next 8 days. It's all good, I'm sure when it's close, we will hear more. Steve

Hey guys, I think Kate said today to not expect in April. Steve

I think at the very least if you pre-order a product, you are entitled to development updates leading up to the product release. All anyone is looking for here is honest communication about the product. Push it back 2 months, 4 months, or further. Just keep the community updated on the product that they have already paid for. I think every customer is getting tired of reading between the lines. It leads to a ton of BS. Look at the Friday newsletter before the much anticipated SC release. One picture. One picture before a module release. We all knew it then and they did also.

F/A-18: Is there a list of currently working features and systems?

Trying to be positive. I think JDAM dynamic launch zones and the SLAM were promised for this month. -
2 Years.... since the last terrain
Bloodhound57 replied to Bloodhound57's topic in DLC Map Wish List
No doubt it takes "many" hours. Maybe it's too difficult? Tools to make the process not simple, but a little less than a couple of years between may be a better option. Also, there are maps that have been announced and in development for that same period of time. Hopefully, we can see progress soon! I mean the Chanel map was supposed to be in pre-release in February. Steve -

Really difficult. But, I cannot believe it's been so long. You would think that there would be some sort of pipeline. -
It has been 2 years since the last map was released for DCS World. Why?

They are working on a roadmap for the Hornet which will be pretty cool. Hopefully, we can see that soon. -
Great idea Siera99! +1

I have to say the Tomcat is in really good shape and an excellent module. Worth the full price.

That video was posted in June of 2019. Coming up on a year ago. Who knows what has been changed since then.

I think that it is progress. But I am worried that we will only hear your own radio communications because of the amount of radio communication delivered during a Case III recovery cycle. Even when you are not flying, and you are in different positions on the boat, it would be great to tune to these specific frequencies. ATC is something that most customers are calling for. Maybe address it now, so the groundwork is done for the airfield ATC. Just a thought, I know that ED has their hands full just trying to get the product out the door. Steve

You would think that this would have been on the original Super Carrier items list because they are selling the product with upgraded comms. It was also stated that the carrier comms were being updated then they would move to the airfield. I'm sure that that non-naval folk would not like ground on the tower frequency. Wait and see, I guess.

You are right, that's not what she said. LOL. Thank you for the question. We will not add additional features. The development of Early Access list is completed. We are working on the issues that stop us from delivering. And it was answered. It's not happening. Everything will be using "easy comms" now. Awesome. That should satisfy the customer base looking to have realistic ATC at airfields also. SMH.
-
Just asked for this again. I hope it becomes something they consider, especially with the amount of people calling for realistic ATC.
-
Do you guys remember when the Hornet and the Persian Gulf map was ready to release? We had pics, videos, and even live streams. Those were the days. SMH.
-
News is even delayed. They said today but meant tomorrow.
-
Guys relax, even ED would not announce a delay on the date the product was supposed to be released. They know what a PR disaster that would be. I'm sure they are aware of the frustration people have regarding their lack of communication with this PRE-ORDERED product. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Steve
-
I agree with the patience theory. The ED Team has been better with communication lately, especially with this module.
-
My guess is that we will not hear the communication of the other aircraft which is unfortunate.
-
So for airfields, you do not have to tune into the ATC channel to speak with them? I just find this a bit weird since they took on the carrier comms as the beginning of a larger project to overhaul the whole communication system. You should have set frequencies and change radio channels in simulation mode. I hope that is the case. Thanks, Steve

Update: Moved to the "Wish-List" lol. So I guess that means it's no.
