Newer mind. I have just rewiered the joystick so that it works.

Hey! I am building a wannabe Viggen cockpit. I have modified a Logitech attack 3 and installed it in place only to find that there is no way to set radar to default to t0 when nothing is pressed than t1 on first detent and tv on third. The current 3 position sw mode is made only with Warthog throttle in mind where you find ON1 OFF ON2 where default is t1. Anyone has any idea how to fix that? I have poked around Viggens lua but it seems to be structured in a specific and not very obvious way. I just could not find how the 3 way switches are defined to modify them. I would greatly appreciate help.

As in the title. Is it plausible to somehow save the default head position so that I don't have to adjust it every time I get in to the cockpit?

Hej! How would I go about creating an invisible/collisionless sound emitting object? Preferably one that could have dynamically assigned sounds, so that there could be more then one of those on the map with different sounds. The point of this is to be able to for ex. emit a bomb raid siren that would react to cockpit closing, increasing distance etc. or soldiers talking to each other. The point is to place sounds inside of game engine instead of directly in the pilots ear. I really wish that this was a mission editor feature.

Same here. ASW broken and terrible performance. I7 7700k@5ghz 32gb ram and 1080ti

Funny, I have also reported that now in the and of August and also didn't even get it acknowledged.

Yeah! I was especially impressed by being reprimanded and the plausibility of declaring emergency. Made it feel very alive.

Hey! As in the title. Rb04 does acquires a target tracks perfectly hit and nothing. That is my experience 3 out of 4 times. Is it really how ineffective it is ment to be? I remember commenting on that more than a year ago.

I couldn't agree more. I never played that certain f16 sim in the long run(because of no VR), but the couple of times I tried it the ATC has blew me away. In the contrast to my yesterdays online experience: I got inbound. Visual - contact tower I request landing and nothing happens until I am on my final when I get "Landing denied" followed by immediate permission for Landing. While this was happening a guy on the ground got a denied permission to take off, followed a permission to take off. We almost collided. the ATC just does not work.

Flying continuous missions and rearming every time to this same load-out (rb04) anti-ship, after first rearming the Rb04 releases always 2 missiles regardless of the position of the Impuls/serie switch. To be more clear: On my first sortie it worked fine. After every sub-sequential RTB and rearm it releases only 2 at the time. SORRY FOR THE TITLE! I MEANT IMPULS/SERIE

Hey thanks for that one, I haven't seen it before.

Use Skatesilla's Launcher/updater. It has dedicated buttons for VR/No VR and a tone other features. I cant live without it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053

Thanks for clarification :) It wasn't really my point. I was rather referring to the fact that any guessing like (ED said "We are working on ATC for carriers" ergo they must be overhauling ATC) should not take place. As when the whole argument about NS exploded people started taking every statement ever said apart.

Swedish WW3 mockumentary with Viggens and stuff, translated by me
hideki2 replied to Farks's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Wow! Thanks so much! I loved the German one! Love this kind of stuff! -
DCS has terrible ATC. We all know that. My question is: Is that even being worked on? I have seen the news about new ATC for the carriers but nothing about ATC in general. And as some recent little scandals (GPS?) have revealed our beloved ED is choosing their wording very carefully. That draws me to a conclusion that general ATC might actually by not worked on ATM. Seriously. Unless DCS is coded in some incredibly complex programming language ATC could be easily way way improved. As it stands ATC does not aknowledge they have received a transmission if the script is not ready for the next step making you guess if your radio worked or not (requesting landing) You can't declare an emergency. You might be on fire and not get clearance for landing. It does not matter if you have clearance for anything or not. The ATC will just stay quiet. It does not matter if you are at pattern alt or not. Those are just some super simple examples, that from the coding stand point are just a bunch of "if" or "while" statements and few new recordings of voice over. Things like that are being modded in on servers. So why has the ATC not changed in years?

The manual describes the radar elevation control as: "Antenna elevation potentiometer: During search modes the antenna can be steered in elevation slightly. Has a middle “snap” position." Yet there is no plausibility to assign radar elevation to an axis. TM warthog has a zoom slider with center snap, also Saitek/Logitech X55/56 have plenty of knobs, of which some have center snap that could be used for that. I am sure that there are others. Also It would be nice to have assignable control to reset radar elevation. I think that if your radar gain is set up as a button (where you obviously don't have indicated center) you can easily visually spot the incorrect setting. While if your radar elevation is set incorrectly and is not in an AA mode its not that obvious where the correct setting is. That problem obviously does not exist if Elevation is assigned to an axis with a center snap. Sorry for the complicated way I have explained the issue, but I may have had a beer or two. Cheers!

What is the standard procedure for QFE setting under normal fli
hideki2 replied to hideki2's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
No, No its a quick action mission. I guess its just lack of actual planing on the mission designer side. -
What is the standard procedure for QFE setting under normal fli
hideki2 replied to hideki2's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Well, what you say makes sense, except for that if I remember correctly, if I fly the airports QFE in for example "Cold and Dark" mission for Caucasus and follow the plan I will end up in side of a mountain at at least two points. -
So my question is: during a normal ferry flight where I have planned speed and altitude when would I actually set the QFE for each point so that I can keep the right alt during the flight. And I mean how actual Viggen pilots did it. Do I set the QFE of the next waypoint (eg. for B2 when crossing B1) or what? I couldn't find anything about it in the manual.

Excuse me, but I have point this out. It is known that this mode is not fully operational, yet the first mission of the campaign is designed to utilize it. This seems to me as a very strange move.

Some things I have noticed: Sticker under the CK is applied twice. Taxi light from another aircraft taxiing behind lights up the cockpit (even before the light sabre taxi light bug) MAJOR(I think) Setting the altimeter knob affects the HUD displayed altitude even in the RHD mode(radar altimeter source) making it impossible to calculate the atmospheric pressure. Knee-board way point tables don't line up with the text. Occasionaly RB75 will not stay locked instead will just lock for a brief moment.(in which you can successfully fire at target) In multiplayer, when other Viggens deploy airbrakes you can also see reverser being engaged in the air. Missing animation and graphics for blown tyres. Acceleration stops abrouptly at a max speed. around 1.854M depending of alt. Max speed independent of air temperature. Also take a look at this post by @gusanako https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3530106&postcount=1 Some suggestions: Make controls for the data unit knob like the mode and weapon knob, namely buttons to rotate it clock/counterclockwise Maybe replace the sticker under Central Display with qnh/gfa conversion table so that it makes sense in DCS Make a toggle control for the reverser A MAJOR BUG :) Aerodynamics don't seem to be working in reverse :D

Frequent access violations tend to point at Ram failure or drive failure of which the latter is way easier to diagnose.

Listenning to more than one radio channel at a time.
hideki2 replied to hideki2's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Thanks for the answer! Its great to know. -
Hey Forum! A quick question, as I am unable to find any info about that. Is it plausible to listen to more than one radio channel at a time? I am thinking mainly about situations when you fly with your wingman, but would still like to hear the AWACS.
