  1. Same problem, after trying to join any server, I get into a loading screen that takes up to 3 minutes. After that, it takes anohter 2-3 minutes for me to be able to pick a side in the lobby and then, after clicking on "briefing" roughtly another 3 minutes until half of the aircraft appears. Frame rate sits at round 20-30 with massive shuttering at times and then after a while DCS world just crashes. CPU is sitting at around 20%, gfx isn't doing anything but RAM is off the charts, 11gb usage while in lobby? Singleplayer works llike a charm, 80+ fps in campaign missions. My specs i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz 32gb ram 1070gtx
  2. Is your CPU at 100% or close to it? Depth of field is currently bugged or something, its a massive FPS drop when viewing outside cockpit.
  3. You have to opt into open beta. Go to your game library and find DCS world. Right click DCS world, click properties. Go to Betas tab and click on drop down menu then select openbeta - Public beta versions and let the client update.
  4. Mig 29 Hi! I've noticed a few things about Mig-29 A, G and S. Mig-29 A and G share the same glitches. Mig-29 S seem to be free of the following bugs. - Both planes (Mig-29 A and G) are missing landing lights texture on the lights themselves, however, you can see the light projecting onto the ground. - Front and rear wheels on both planes (Mig-29 A and G) are turning in the opposite direction of movement when you start rolling out. However, all of the Mig-29s (A, G and S) share the following: When creating fast mission at day (tested at 16:00 time) the cockpit texture looks perfect with and without cockpit lights on. The electrical power comes on perfectly fine. (rshift + L ) When creating fast mission at night, however, (tested at 01:00 and 02:00) the cockpit texture looks lowres/blur. The electrical power doesn't work all the time, sometimes only HUD lights up and sometimes its only green. I was able to repeat night glitches every time. Screens below. I'm running the following hardware i5-2500k@3.8 8GB RAM GTX 760 2GB Win 10 64bit
  5. Thank you kind Sir!
  6. Alright, thanks.
  7. Ok, then how do i turn them off or is that a setting that is not a subject to change anymore?
  8. I'd like to turn cockpit shadows off but can't seem to find the option anymore, has it been moved?
  9. I can run Steam version by launching the game via DCS/bin/dcs.exe
  10. Same here my spacs are i5-2500k @ 3,8ghz 8GB Ram 1600mhz SSD Samsung Evo 850 GTX 760 2gb Win 10 64bit 70-100 fps ingame though, thats without DoF.
  11. Same for me only in outside view, though I don't notice any DoF inside cockpit view. i5-2500k @ 3,8ghz 8GB Ram 1600mhz SSD Samsung Evo 850 GTX 760 2gb Win 10 64bit
  12. I'd like to give a shout-out to the guys still in the office, your work is very appreciated.
  13. Like someone once said. Hell, it's about time! p.s. Seriously though, happy for the news. Good job to everyone involved making this happen.
  14. Ok, thank you.
  15. Hello! EDIT: Will DCS 1.5 Open beta be coming to Steam if not will I be needing to redownload the 1.5 client in order to play it on Steam after it's official launch? Thanks!
  16. I gave you a link to excellent video tutorials from which you can gain a lot of basic information, including most common keybinds. It covers starting up an aircraft, contacting ATC, taxing to a correct runway, etc. to landing and turning off the aircrtaft and everything inbetween. You cannot not know how to taxi to a runway if you watched this. The keyboard shortcuts are very similar between most FC3 aircrafts.
  17. Hello and welcome. The following tutorials helped me a lot and I recommend them to anyone new to DCS. However, the tutorial covers the Su-25t. It is a good aircraft to start with, probably as much as A-10a, they are both on the FC3 level of complexity. p.s. the author of the tutorial plans to make a tutorial on A-10a sometime.
  18. There is no way of telling what its set to? (in F15) Thanks for all the help.
  19. Another newb question regarding PRF modes. How do I change PRF HI/MED while in TWS mode? Or is it automatic? Or am I missing something?
  20. I didn't mean to doubt you, it's just that I've seen tutorial that says MED is for tailon only and HI is for headon only. And being new to the DCS, I'm sure you can understand contradicting info can be very confusing. Thanks for clarification.
  21. Hello, I am new myself and found these posts extremely helpful, thank you Blaze. I have a question about PRF. I thought it is prefered to use HI PRF only for headon enemies and MED PRF only for trailon enemies. Blaze, at the start of this thread you wrote that MED PRF should be used inside 25nm. Would I still be able to detect headon enemies like that? And would I be able to detect trailon enemies at 25nm+ on HI PRF setting? I guess my question boils down to: Does HI PRF detect trailon targets outside 25nm? Does MED PRF detect headon targets within 25nm? Thanks
  22. Thank you. Edit: I've found IvanK's post. Is it still valid? http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=929305&postcount=43
  23. Hello, everyone. Is anyone kind enough to explain what exactly does the number indicate when I use scan zone up/down function. i.e. If i scan zone up the number changes from 0 to +1 (+2, +3, etc). I assume is not degrees nor is it meters in thousands? Also, does anyone knows where to find a good video tutorial on the Su-27s radar?
  24. Ironhand's tutorials helped me the most, starting with this followed by tutorial on STT, Flood and TWS modes.
