  1. Dear all , as the title says im trying to figure out the differences and usage of all these panels in the M2000 , You see this is my first clickable interference plane on DCS ,Before I only loved to fly the F-15 and SU 27 and ofcourse as all of you know they are simple aircraft in terms of pre flight setup and things like that , all you need to do is turn power on and start that’s it and your flying and when you need to contact the tower no need to bother with radio frequency and such things . Now in the M2000 I see 3 radio panels with each one has its own inputs , UHF , V/UHF and TCN radio . all I need to know what is what and the difference between the three . I mean when do I use UHF and when do I use V/UHF and when to use TCN radio. Also how do I know which one is being used at the moment , like is there an indication that tells me which on is operating at the moment . im a bit lost pleas help . Thank you all in advance.
  2. really thank you for the explanation now i get it . :worthy:
  3. me too im a passionate F15 pilot but now im loving the m2000 . how do you set the radio to 125 and after that what you should do is there a menu you have to open after you set the radio
  4. Can somone please explain in details how to use the radio and what it is it used for ? is it t o talk to other player or what ? Im used to flying the FC 3 aircraft so to contact the tower for landing or take off i simply press ( \ ) how do i do that in the Mirage 2000 ? please help
  5. one sec here !!!! the Mirage has a laser guided bombs ?? i thought it only has dumb bombs . If it has laser guided bomb where can i find how to use it . sorry for the off topic question. Edit : just checked Pg 95 of the manual and it actually says that you can use GBU laser guided bomb in the mirage . I ve never used A/G weaponry before and would like to know how i can use it in the mirage . like how to enter the so called Laser code and so on.. Thanks in advance
  6. I used to have ATI . I changed Green and now i have 2 GTX 970 . A word of advice never buy ATI . I know i will never go back .
  7. Merry Christmas , And thank you Count me in :)
  8. You didn't read my post through, My joystick doesn't have twist other wise i would use the twist as a rudder input thats why i need a rudder pedal
  9. When you are in the NAV mode in the F15 and you press 1 it takes you to ILS MODE which is landing mode . I just want to know what is the purpose of the Tac 1 that shows on the HUD when you press ( Lctrl+R ) to air refuel from texaco which is happened to be also TACAN 1
  10. here is pics before i switch too TACAN 1 ( Lctrl+R) and after i pressed (Lctrl+R)
  11. one minute i will go take a screen shots
  12. No its not a mod , im sitting at work and i dont have access to DCS to get a pic of the F15C so i got this pic from this website http://www.cockpits.net/website/PRODGAL_F15C.html
  13. Its very easy for me to find and rejoin the tanker using the Radar but lets say they didn't tell you in the briefing that it flys around the lake area so how would you locate the Tanker . here is a pic of the switch im talking about go in the game and press ( Lctrl+r ) you will see this switch rotate to TCN
  14. Yes i know that it opens the Boom but also it turns on a switch to the left of the HSI that Called TACAN and the HUD will say Tac 1 instead of NAV #
  15. I was playing the Nevada map online on the 104th server so as most of you probably knows that 104th server doesn’t enable the view of any allies aircraft on the map so you have to depend on bearings and information given on the briefing page to intercept whatever you looking for, In the briefing the 104th state that there are 2 tankers present on the map for the blue force and they gave their TACAN frequency . In my case I was flying the F15 i wanted to rejoin the tanker ( Texaco ) so I called the tanker and they told me to proceed to pre contact at 20000 , But they don’t give direction and there are no AWACS to call to give me the BRA for the Tanker Ofcourse I know from the briefing that the tanker is flying around Midea lake and I can see the tanker on my Radar so I know how to rejoin using this method . But I wanted to try locating the tanker by the given TACAN so when I switch the Navigation to Tac 1 which is given for the Texaco ( by pressing Lctrl + R for the F-15) the HIS or the bearing indicator never change to the direction of the Tanker for example it keeps showing the bearing of the NAV point that it was previously showing before I switch to Tac 1 , My question however is that how it suppose to be or should the bearing switch to the tanker location ??
  16. Thank you mate for your advice but its late I have already ordered the VKB T-Rudder It’s by far of the same quality as the crosswind , all metal parts with very high accuracy according to SimHQ review and other reviews on the internet . As I mentioned earlier that the only down side of it is that it lack toe brake which I will assign to a button. I Personally don’t think that the T-rudder is a second rate pedal I think its of a top quality just behind the crosswind .
  17. I would love to get the crosswind but 2 things sat me back from ordering it, one is that i would have to wait till January 2016 , two is the price is a i bit high than what i would spend on a rudder pedal. i read people's review of the T-rudder as well as simHQ review and its a good one , One thing i like the most about the T-rudder is that all review said that its not bulky and this alone is very important to me . i already placed the order so i will give my opinion on it once i try it .
  18. thank you guys for your inputs , i will get the VKB T-Rudder its by far my best option after the crosswind one which is above my budget . the only downside of the T-Rudder is it dont have toe brake axis .saitek combat pro has the toe brake but it looks rubbish to me so i will go with the better quality but no toe brake rather than shitty quality
  19. Thats the answer i was looking for . I dont want to map the input to any thing i just wanted to make sure before i order it that its a necessary control like other things.
  20. No I didn’t want to try it because it feels awkward , My brain will get confused because it has settled itself that its used as throttle control plus I have each slider mapped to right and left engine . I can get the Rudder its no problem actually I have the VKB T-rudder right now on the purchase page I just wanted to make sure that it will not sit collecting dust and I will actually use it .
  21. So I gather from this that its required to perform Maneuvers such as the barrel roll and without it its hard to some extent to perform such maneuvers. If so then I do need it .
  22. no not even once , im all for modern fighter
  23. Does air combat maneuvers moves require rudders input to some degree to perform the move? For example the rolling scissor move or flat scissor or other combat maneuvers moves. if not so to what degree is rudder required during flying rather than that of using it during cross wind adjustment ?? I only fly F15 and Su 27 When im being chased by another fighter its very hard to break out from him using Roll and Pitch so is that because I lack Rudder input . Reason im asking is because I have the Warthog joystick and doesn’t have twist axis so im debating whether I need rudder or not ? I know I need it to some degree but im just trying to justify spending 200 + $ on a rudder.
  24. yes mate it was for both the stick and the throttle , i didn't believe myself when i saw it until i placed the order just before they change their mind at amazon . i got it with the seat because my desk cant handle the heavy weight of the throttle. a word of advice if you dont like working with TARGET software like me get the gizzy profile for the throttle it is very easy to install , hassle free and it makes the switches on the throttle works on aircraft like the f15 and the su27 ie; to turn on your radar or flaps or gear up and down . http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=153039
  25. I will add my 2 cents just in case you still debating , i've Just bought my warthog 1 week ago from amazon UK , it was on a something called snap sale for 3 hours for 190 British pound , i was exactly like you debating if i get the warthog or the x55 , My concern although wasn't the same as yours whether i get the x55 because it has more buttons or the warthog with less buttons but best quality ,No my concern was how was im going to deal with no twist joystick , being used to the x52 for more than 3 years that was my concern , The twist , Then when i found this snap sale i didn't hesitate i ordered it right away with the Play-seat airforce ( the playseat airforce is tailored to support the warthog out the box ) . Did i regret my choice hell no im regretting i didnt buy it 3 years ago to enjoy the difference in quality . all i can say is that the difference is really noticeable , the great accuracy in input and in the axis is beyond words. To me using the warthog after being used to the X52 is like leaving Honda for a brand new Mercedes Benz . Thats how good it is. Now im looking for a rudder controlor
