Hi all, I've been playing around with the mission editor and specifically the MIST and CTLD scripts which are very powerful. A script I saw in use on BlueFlag was the ability to capture intel of an enemy FARP and direct a bomber / CAS to attack that target. I've searched the forums for 'Intel' 'Gather' and 'Bomber' and have come up with nothing (or I'm missing something). Can anyone point me in the right direction for what I'm after? Many thanks. N1tch

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 7
N1tch replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Looking forward to this one to see the differences. A-10s with no cluster munitions is going to make taking FARPs a little more fun. Will potentially give attack choppers more to do and will make the called in bombers more useful. Looking forward to it! Thanks Buddy Spike team. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 6
N1tch replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
This was my first BlueFlag game. Enjoyed parts, could forget others. In general it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to Round 7 which starts tonight 6pm CET! :D -
I agree. I'm sure the admins can check to see if people switch sides and which slots they took. I know last night Xcom was talking about people connecting more than 1 account to the server from the same IP which unless it's two pilots sharing a house/apartment I assume was being used for less than fair reasons. On a positive note I'm glad this is being spotted and addressed now before the round starts and I'm well aware people will not be able to switch once the round starts so that shouldn't happen.

Excellent work. Shame about CSAR but as its something I think many would see as secondary or even tertiary then for sake of lag is understandable. I think the 8 lives for transports is fair. Thanks for listening to the concerns of the community :)

I completely agree with this sentiment. I understand the reasoning for lives on the KA50 and now the Gazelle but Huey and the Hip seem a little unfair.

I'm looking forward to the 980ti price drop that will come with this launch. Will get a second and SLI them I think.

I've finally waded through this entire thread. I have to say some very childish comments and name calling and some well put arguments from both sides. Also congratulations on what appears to be an excellent start of a mod to Yoda and others involved. I might actually build a pit someday soon!

I'm interested in trying anything. How do you define which cores work on the affinity_mask? I don't have my game on this machine so can't easily look. I just wonder is it simple to do? Thanks

I don't think there are many games that don't do dynamic loading and de-loading but that is the point of the pre-load buffer. Again very true but so do many newer games and high poly count isn't an issue if the models have a decent amount of LOD which I assume ED has done on their models.

Interesting. Would like to see your video. So if part of the stutter is due to the files being stored in zip, though I imagine they're not compressed would unpacking all the zip files help or be pointless?
-
Just want to add some info that I too get these, specifically on multiplayer servers. My ping is around 30 - 150 (but that should not cause the stuttering I see). It's like it can't or hasn't pre-loaded many of the ground / air models. Sometimes get this when I've just spawned in and look around on the airfield. I've also tried reducing everything (all settings) and get the same results online. My system spec is - i7 6700k 32gb DDR4 RAM (so it's clearly not the RAM) GTX 980Ti I have 250mb up and down internet. What makes some sense is what someone else pointed out earlier in this thread and it could be the HDD. I'm using a 7200rpm HDD for my games. I think I will try and install DCS on my SSD to see if that fixes the problem. However as I say it's as though the pre-load isn't working very well.

Just wanted to share my appreciation of what the 104th did today with the live F15 drones for the M2000s to practice against. Despite not having an M2000 it was great fun to even attempt getting a lock with the Hawk. Anyway as always greatly appreciate what the 104th does for the community! Thank you.

Awesome job Chris!

To the OP and the other people helping with LUA on getting 3 position switches to have 3 commands, thank you so much! This will really help fix some of the annoyances I've had setting up my TM Warthog but having to use the paddle as a shift for things like the flaps! :)

AGM-114 Best air to air missile

Great video! :D -
I think the "I hear that i want to hear...." was the give away there.

Well we know VEAO has learnt from their mistake. PMan has said in an interview they will not be doing the seperate SFM / AFM thing again (was in a podcast). So clearly AvioDev haven't been paying attention.
-
Ok, let's keep it friendly and classy people :) So Eddie, want to share with us some of your bad habits?
-
Exactly! Or treat the early adopters (who will have to deal with the majority of bugs) as early access / backers. You charge how much you feel is appropriate but include the upgrade to AFM. I'm certain if you remove the confusion and say the early adopters will pay $40 for the whole thing but the final release version with ASM will be $50 you'll see a lot more people being early adopters to save the money knowing they'll eventually get the ASM. Also the added bonus of more early adopters is more potential testing.
-
Just to chime in as a somewhat newbie to all this AFM, SFM stuff it put me off buying the Hawk (which I've still not got). I think SFM should be treated like early access (or Beta) but people shouldn't be penalised for buying your product before it's ready. The AFM shouldn't be paid for once it's ready, after all the players are your guniea pigs for testing as well. It goes both ways. The way the C101 and Hawk are handling AFM is like a micro-transaction or DLC on an already bought product. As someone previously said having 2 people flying the same aircraft but with different flight models is not only confusing, I suspect some will use to their advantage in dog fights.
-
I don't use Target either however as the OP kindly left a handy little guide of what goes where it won't take too long to setup yourself. I'll do it tonight and could always share the LUA with OPs permission.

Just a follow up from my experiences. Since forcing the card to run at a higher voltage (only a little higher) I've have no problems with the drivers failing and this is going from DCS to other games and back (which always used to cause a crash for some reason). I hope the OP gets it fixed soon as I totally sympathise but once again I'd like to thank the OP for raising this and those who have offered help as you've fixed my issue it seems! :D

I picked up the Mi-8 and the Mig21. Not flown either yet but will be trying them out tonight :D -
As someone who just grabbed the Mig21 (still no tried flying it yet) I'm grateful you've shared this :D Looking forward to using it and trying it all out in the next few nights!
