  1. When using mods use this tool it will save you a lot of headaches and repair installs http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607 Also make a shortcut to the DCSworld launcher instead of the updater to avoid accidentally updating over mods and making a mess.
  2. You do have to select the plane with the Saitek software, easiest way is to right click the tray icon and select the profile, DCS should remember the controls but you can re save them to be sure. Also updated the Print profiles added Su-25 A-10A.
  3. please don't trigger me
  4. Having headtracking and the X-55 made DCS a lot more playable for me now I need to get a big monitor. Pedals are not really necessary with the X-55 because the stick has twist, its not great but it works. All you should need to do is unbind the yaw from the stick under axis settings and bind it to your pedals and possibly analog toe brakes for the planes that have them.
  5. FC3 A-10A and Su-25 added, that wraps up the FC3 planes. Check updates in first post for other fixes and changes. Up next is F-86, Mig-21 will likely come after DCS 2.0 due to it killing my computer ATM.
  6. Sounds like its time to switch to common sense internet security 2015
  7. Just downloaded and tested to be sure, works fine. Make sure to select the A-10C Sim, select all tab, then use clear category button to clear any old binds you may have in DCS for both X-55 devices and any other devices not being used. Also be sure to load the stick profile to the X-55 stick device and the throttle to the throttle, if you hover your mouse over the device name at the top it will popup the full name.
  8. Wow I bet that used a lot of ink :no_sad: Printable versions are something I can do, originally I sized these 1024x600 for my tablet. I could look into making larger print versions in the future. Until then have these black and white versions. X-55 Print Profiles.zip
  9. Currently I only have the modules in my sig so I can't do the ones I don't have, I do plan on doing all the DCS modules eventually when time and funds allow. So many aircraft to learn such little time:pilotfly:
  10. If fullscreen is checked in options alt-tab generally doesn't work, use Windowed mode no need to disable Aero
  11. Looking fantastic, once you get the Warthog ironed out I will be eagerly awaiting an upgrade to my X-55 Specifically high quality buttons all around and a stick not made for sasquatch hands. If you could work out an adjustable hand rest for the stock X-55 stick it would sell like hot cakes. Also cheap IR clips
  12. Added Su-33 Mig-29 profiles enjoy
  13. I use MSI afterburner with x264 open VFW, almost no impact on game framerate on a Fx 8350 / R9-280 http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/ need 32 and 64 bit Attached SS of the configuration. This is the result with no need to re encode for youtube HD@1080
  14. In all the planes with interactive cockpits you have to switch between mouse look and the cursor with LAlt + C
  15. I thought being able to rotate on a dime was a bit strange
  16. Mirrors are a definitely a killer
  17. FC3 Aircraft Profiles Need a post just for all the FC3 aircraft :joystick: Update 2/11/15 Added Su-33 and Mig-29 profiles Fixed instrument lights switch FC3 Update 2/26/15 Added Su-25 and A-10A Update 5/28/15 Removed Macro from some binds to eliminate keyspam/BSOD X-55 A-10A Profile by Infernus.zip X-55 F-15C Profile by Infernus.zip X-55 Su-25 Profile by Infernus.zip X-55 Su-27 Su-33 Mig-29 Profiles by Infernus.zip
  18. Here are the settings you should be using for Opentrack. Make sure that headtracking is bound in DCS via the Axis Commands tab in Controls for the aircraft you are using.
  19. I would also recommend using Opentrack the filtering is much better and it has the face tracking plugin from FTnoIR https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases/download/opentrack-2.3-rc9/opentrack-windows-2.3-rc9.zip
  20. Welcome to my X-55 profile thread, feel free to leave comments and suggestions as I am by no means an ace. I will be updating this with profiles for FC3, Mig-21, F-86 and Su-25T soon as well as any other modules I pick up. To use these profiles copy the .pr0 file to *:\Users\Public\Documents\Mad Catz\X-55 Rhino and activate it in the X-55 Rhino software. Next copy the .diff.lua files to *:\Users\"your username"\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input. Fire up DCS World and load the .dif.lua's to the corresponding devices in DCS and you're ready to go. You should not need to reload profiles in DCS, see spoilered images for more help. To use the head tracker pause and reset buttons you must set these hotkeys in Track IR or Open Track. R-Ctrl R-Shift F12 for HT Reset R-Ctrl R-Shift F11 for HT Pause For printable versions see this Post Update 2/7/15 Reconfigured the Slew to be uniform and a macro for better performance in all profiles. Ka-50: Swapped Target Lock and Uncage Shkval to allow Shkval slew use while holding Target Lock. Update 2/10/15 Ka-50: Swapped hat switches so all Shkval controls are useable while holding target lock. Update 2/26/15 Pitch Roll Yaw deadzone and curve settings are now the same on all planes [Ka-50 has more curve] (tweak to your liking) Pressing the flaps switch up toggles up and down, down is always landing flaps [except on A-10C] (changed due to some planes having more than just up/landing position and no dedicated up/down switches) Update 5/28/15 Removed Macro from some binds to eliminate keyspam/BSOD X-55 Ka-50 Profile by Infernus.zip X-55 A-10C Profile by Infernus.zip
  21. Just tested it indeed when using keyboard controls the pitch up and down get stuck going past a certain point, re enable the joystick axis inputs and it instantly disappears Track attached as well su27 keyboard pitch bug.trk
  22. I'm going to go out on a limb here and agree with OP its not so much I have an issue with DRM its that the DRM that ED uses is lousy and has tons of issues. I personally have never had an issue activating any of my modules or playing them due to the DRM, but I have lost a few activations due to hardware problems where I could not run the deactivation. With that said I dont understand why ED cant implement an activation system using their online records, activation and account systems that are currently in place and ditch Starforce all together.
  23. go to controls > Plane you want to fly > Axis Commands > set the left throttle to left and the right throttle to right by double clicking the column for the X-55 Throttle and moving the desired axis. Its important to remember that the X-55 throttle and stick are SEPARATE devices and have separate columns for controls in DCS and all other games.
  24. Thanks for the update I was just about to tear into A10C now that i've got the hang of FC3
  25. Wanted to chime in and report that I also have this issue Will try without wing tanks
