For this same reason I'd love to carry 2 GBU-12's on station 4 and 8 instead of 3 on my A-10C, just like I can arm 2 mavericks per wing instead of 3. Would help a lot with weight reduction as you easily overload the A-10C

Just a quick question to the future Mirage pilots. I'm getting the Eurofighter Typhoon when it gets released, the Mirage isn't really THE jet for me. Do you Mirage pilots still want to fly with me? :)

Hi all, I am a very low budget simmer. I live on a small budget and can't afford nice gear. I recently pleased DCS by upgrading my CPU as DCS would lock up quite often, and it worked well. Now my question is, if I would connect a second keyboard to my PC, can I make individual keybindings on that keyboard without interfering with the keyboard I already have? Pretend the following: I'd want to set the keybindig for right throttle up (ikr makes no sense) on the F2 button on keyboard nr.2, will this also screw over the external view binding on my keyboard nr.1? If this can work this way, I can get myself a cheap old keyboard somewhere (maybe multiple lol) and mod a HOTAS(-ish) myself to have some fun with until I can afford a real one. My problem is, that almost no missions have an AWACS flying... Without it it's hard to find the enemies, you will see a lot of RWR activity as most missions have atleast 325423095782430957 different SAM's all littered around for the A-10's to have fun with.. When I find someone, I can kill it, but in most of my engagements I find them, but they are head on with me and thus instantly fire an AMRAAM my way. I can't go on the more popular servers like the 104th as it's out of region and it kicks me out for high ping :(

The Mig-21 is deadly once it has closed the gap, and the R3R is actually spoofed by chaffs, but only when it's almost out of energy.... When it's still at a high speed it'll guide fine. R3S seems to go for flares quite easily, but sometimes it blindly ignores them and grants me the kill. I don't fly the Mig-21 that often, but it's a good plane once you get close to someone. Most of m launch them at short range. When I use it, I use it like preferably at an as far away as possible range because they'll never see it coming. Often I override the launch as the missile can lock after being fired, which is hella useful. Unfortunately, most players i see don't use it at it's full capacity but use R-27ER's instead.

That's what the enemy wants, but not me. An ET makes a giant launch trail and is easy to spot because of it. Pop some flares, the ET eats flares like breakfast. R73, is indeed not very dodgable. ER is the easiest as it always gives launch warning and it quite easily spoofed with chaffs.

My A-10 hates R73. R27ER? I can dodge that ET? I can dodge that too R73? Even dropping all flares at once won't stop it from coming into me...

Yeah that's what I mean... Not all servers suffer this issue, but a lot of them too. And because my friends always encounter the exact same issue as I do, I conclude it's not my internet connection.

... Is absolutely horrible This can't be denied, and in my opinion should be worked on. Everytime the server has a little lag it causes massive freezups for the players. Anybody who is in combat at the moment that the lag occurs will guaranteed crash into a mountain, So many times it has happened already, and it's ridiculous I'm flying with my friend in the A-10C, a little server lag occurs and we both crash into the ground because of the sudden hickups. And than there's the second thing: Spazzing out. One player has a bit of lag, he will start to bounce all over the place and kill everybody on the parking area. Why is it so bad? So many online games suffer lag, but only this game responds so extreme to it. It's ridiculous.

I have a lot of luck with ET's. I often try to get enemies follow me in the mountains, and when they have lost me I will quickly lob an ET over the mountain and than dive back behind cover. Most of the time they don't see the missile coming. A second tip: Fire both an ER and an ET. I've tricked people a lot of times using this. If you manage to get within the good range of the ER and the ET, fire an ER so send them defensive. While they are fighting the ER they will most of the time not notice the ET, and thus the ET will most likely hit as it does not care about the chaffs he is popping against the ER

I'm more afraid for multiplayer instabilities. If I would be using the open beta 1.5, how is this going to affect multiplayer? As there are so many changes, this can't be good, so I'll better wait for it to be officially released as release version so the servers get updated too
