Hello. I'm having trouble using shadows in DCS 1.5. I want to enable cockpit shadows, because without it everything looks cartoony. I don't really understand which settings I need to enable to use cockpit shadows, but not enable all other kind of shadows because that drains my FPS like mad. I'm on my phone right now so I can't post detailed info, but here are my system specs in case they are useful: - AMD Athlon X4 860k @4.0ghz - AMD Sapphire HD6570 overclocked to 780mhz core and 1020mhz memory (2gb ddr3) - 2*4GB Ddr3 1333mhz - Asrock fm2a88m-HD+ motherboard With shadows set to "flat only" (if iirc) I have around 40fps. If I set shadows to "low" it enabled cockpit shadows and makes it look gorgeous, but the fps drop all the way to 20. Is there anything I can do to enable cockpit shadows without draining FPS like mad, like I had in DCS 1.2? In 1.2 I could have cockpit shadows enabled and still play above 30fps. Known issue in DCS All aircraft have this issue.

It definitely wouldn't be a bad thing. Missile trails stay there pretty long in real life.

Got issues here too. Often resulsts in complete freezup or crash of DCS.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 Didn't take long before I got FSX, and I stood there for a few years before I discovered DCS.

No scoring on any sort of target I've had a dogfight with a friend, no kill upon missile hit. Ka-50: No score on ground vehicle kill.

Thanks! Seems to be working for me. I've also found something else that can help: Run DCS with Admin privileges. It sorted out the issue for someone else I was talking to.

There are 2 issues here: 1. I can't change the port. I am unable to open the default port and run my private server on a different port to play with my friends and this is kinda breaking it. 2. Multiplayer doesn't work at all. When I select a mission and hit "start" the game goes to a black screen and nothing happens. I've left it like this for 10 minutes but the multiplayer server does not start.

I fixed the error and DCS runs :D it would appear I am no longer able to change the port when creating a multiplayer server... This is an issue for me, I am unable to open the default port 10308 and the private server I run to play on with friends uses a different port, but I can't change the port. Any comments on that?

I use Tapatalk. The refresh button is in the options menu in the top right corner of my phone's screen. Needless to say, that part of the screen is toast.

Hello. In case DCS 1.5 is too heavy on my graphics card, does it have an option to fall back to DirectX 9 (or DirectX 10) or can it only use DirectX 11?

I'm sorry to keep asking... But if I select the openbeta option in Steam and it installs DCS 1.5 when it gets released, can I simply revert back to stable release by unchecking this option or will this give major trouble with settings and modules?
