  1. DCS: Space Shuttle Door Gunner DCS does not have a round Earth, so a space sim is out of the question. The games you want are Kerbal Space Program, and Orbiter.
  2. The next two helicopters BST has said they're working on are the Mi-24P and the AH-1W. I'd rather one of those than a Little Bird.
  3. No, Bad Cobra, Very Bad Cobra. You have 3 balls in the air already, no hyping until you put at least one down.
  4. The website going down means nothing. It's not the first time it's happened.
  5. In the past month, we've had the crash of a Thunder Bird, a Blue Angel, a Black Knight and a member of the Swiss Patrouille Suisse team. This isn't just military accidents it's the highly trained acrobatic teams. 4 different military acrobatic teams in a month. I don't care if the yearly average is lower at this point, the frequency is alarmingly high for so short a period. A cooling off period is in order.
  6. Guys, lets not forget that its been an absolutely awful month for crashes, both military and civilian demonstrator teams. I think toning it back a bit for a few weeks or months so everyone can take stock is in no way out of line.
  7. I understand that, I just aesthetically prefer it with the hump
  8. 2 fewer pylons and a weaker engine? No thanks. Personally I prefer the hump, humpless Skyhawks just look wrong in my opinion.
  9. Oh please god no. The long hours in the processor mines i can handle, but not the shitty music, anything but that!
  10. Everything form Bs to Fs were used in Vietnam, and they employed Shrikes, Bullpups and Walleyes during the war as well. From the perspective of the version we were getting, all three of those guided weapons would have been realistic. Sadly, what can be done without having access to the SDK is limited. If HoggitDev had based their aircraft on the code of an already existing SFM aircraft such as the A-10A, guided weapons would have been possible, but the clickable cockpit would not be. So the decision was made, go for the clickable cockpit, and hope/ask for more controls be opened to mod makers. It makes quite a bit of sense for them to do it this way. The cockpit and coding thereof is one of the harder parts of making a module, and so if guided weapons support ever comes to mod makers, it will be easier to adapt their module to accept it, rather than base it off another SFM module and basically have to redo the hardest part of development if guided weapon support comes.
  11. Depends on the A-4. They're working on an A-4E (Late) with the avionics hump and uprated engine. Original plans were for Shrike Anti Radiation Missiles and Bullpup guided bombs.
  12. Dumb Bombs and Rockets. They couldn't get guided weapons to work and still have a clickable cockpit.
  13. (Emphasis mine) I'm a bit confused, does that mean the flight model is unaffected by stores right now? I.E. the plane handles the same with an 8 bomb 2 tank load the same way it does clean?
  14. Got to admit, given the general way most modules come into being, I find it hilariously ironic that your flight model is all done, but not your texture work
  15. He was given permission to engage as for a war scenario, not as though it were an exercise. He flies a Tomcat, defender of the fleet, which means when he gets word from home plate to the effect of "Kill this sucker, dead, now, before he kills us" he reacted the way a fighter pilot should have. There's a reason why training uses very specific language these days, and it's stupid incidents like this that are the reason. The fault lies with Saratoga's exercise procedure at the time. He was shuffled to a desk job and denied an advance to flag rank.
  16. Poor bastard getting his career ruined because Saratoga's comms were sloppy.
  17. The software guys at Lockheed be like;
  18. Meh, close enough, the HUD only counts in hundreds anyway
  19. Don't forget about the 675 rounds of cannon ammo.
  20. So the pilots having to fight with it hate it, and the GIB likes it because it lets him see what's going on, not exactly what I'd call a ringing endorsement. The Air Force disagrees with you as well, seeing as how they got rid of as much of the framing in the 50/52s as they could.
  21. Different era of aircraft. The F-5E has versions of it produced in the same year that had Maverick capability. There are examples of the fighter with minor upgrades to provide 4 sidewinder capacity. A version was also produced with AA refueling. All of these were contemporaries to the aircraft we received. On Topic: I'd be surprised if work on Jester has even started beyond broad ideas.

    Tutorial?

On the first post you complain the instructors attitude is unprofessional, which may be realistic, but you do not appreciate it because you paid for a professional product. Am I misinterpreting what you're saying? Then what are you complaining about in terms of mission quality? The mission tells you what switches to flip, that's its job. If you're not looking for more information, what is it that you want? On the contrary, he's hawking his product. "That's what the manual is for!" He said with a wide grin on his face, arms gesticulating wildly. If your sentences come off as brusque and rude to native English speakers, then yes there's a reason why you're getting a less than kind reaction from a lot of people. You not being a native English speaker isn't an insult, but it does mean you may not catch some of the nuances of what you're writing. It's not an English thing only, I speak English natively and learned Japanese, and there are times when I come off in the wrong way because I'm not speaking 'naturally'. I have read your first post, several times. Your complaint about the quality centers around lack of Professionalism, not being educational and the fact you didn't like the instructors attitude. How is the tutorial not educational if you do not want additional information as to what switches you're flipping? What specifically is lacking?

    Tutorial?

I just want to make sure everybody is on the same level here because I think we've got a bit of a communication failure here. Pitot, your wording is needlessly complicated and difficult to interpret, and comes out as slightly insulting because of that. I assume it's because you're a non-native English speaker. From reading back in the thread, I have identified what I think are the two points you're trying to make; 1. You don't like that the instructor is a bit of a dick in the first training mission. 2. You want more "Background" information as to what each switch does when you're flipping it. Is that about right? Also, Pitot, Cobra isn't yelling. Exclamation points in English writing, especially on internet boards like this, indicate enthusiasm. ALL CAPS IS YELLING.
  24. I'm aware it can and is done on the II+ model Harriers, thus the link. My question is about the NA model harriers.
  25. Will it be center line mountable? From what I was able to find when I went searching I found that they could be mounted on a BRU-36 rack in the center. http://www.navair.navy.mil/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.PrintNewsStory&id=4751 Also, will you be modeling DITERs? http://www.naval-technology.com/news/newsusmc-flies-first-bru-70a-rack-equipped-av-8b-harrier-against-is-4525993 http://www.navair.navy.mil/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.NAVAIRNewsStory&id=5852
