  1. Frostie should upload it soon. If you'd like to see your opponents performing in preparation for tomorrow's battle, you can watch few acmis from JW1 in the meantime: http://sa-sim.com/joint-warrior-1-the-beginning-official-results/
  2. Awesome! Thanks guys for coming and competing, I hope you had a lot of fun out there. Here are the final results, winners are confirmed according to the scoring below! BLUE - 600 / ORANGE - 75 - (Final score - Blue advance to the final battle) PURPLE - 325 / GREEN - 465 - (Final score - Green advance to the semifinal against red team. This is scheduled for tomorrow July 27 at 1700z) Orange and Purple teams: Thanks guys for showing up and looking forward to seeing you partaking in the next event!
  3. LIVE FEED - TIME'S UP BLUE - 600 / ORANGE - 75 - (Final score - Blue advance to the final battle) PURPLE - 325 / GREEN - 465 - (Final score - Green advance to the semifinal against red team)
  4. Quick reminder for those who would like to fly tonight and have not registered. We have couple of available spaces, so if interested, join us now on TS: 51st.hopto.org Thanks
  5. It has always been free payload management when TORs were there. Mav will confirm this, as there are no more TORs in the target area.
  6. Thank you all for your opinions. At this point, we think best is to go with the flow since Steam users could not roll back to 1.2.8. JW2 Notice to all participants: update to the latest release version (1.2.9) Start time is 1800z (instead of 1700z) to allow people enough time to update to 1.2.9 Join 51st TeamSpeak 20mn before kick off at: 51st.hopto.org
  7. Gents, we are discussing it, and will update asap. If you have not updated yet, please keep as is until further notification. Thanks.
  8. I hope so Mustang...IIRC, 1.2.4 was a solid build for MP, then things started to go haywire after 1.2.5 and forced us to cancel a bunch of events. I think 1.2.9 needs some testing first, to make sure nothing got broken. JW2 is imminent...I'd go for the proven 1.2.8 :)
  9. Initial idea was no refuel no rearm near the frontline (Sochi/sukhumi), then we decided to allow refueling at least. JW2 will require a lot of coordination and discipline from fighters, any gap could be used by the enemy to strike ground forces or sneak in for HVTs like the AWACS. A permanent presence over the target area will be a must.
  10. Guys, I think we need to avoid Beta. JW1 ran nicely on 1.2.8. We need to stick to the release version not beta.
  11. I think so - Mav who designed the mission will confirm here. Up to you guys, mission is very well balanced so if you both like the same color, then we'll do a toss :D Please do not update, JW1 ran great on 1.2.8...we can update after this event. Great reminder. Thanks!
  12. No, this is only for admins, GCI (not available in JW2), spectators and live streaming.
  13. Yes thanks for reminding us, added couple of rules about one life and team-killing. Post #1 updated
  14. Scoring AWACS = 150 pts (team score) / proportional to remaining enemy fighters (pilot score) Battleship = 100 pts (team and pilot) Fighter = 50 pts (team and pilot) Striker = 25 pts (team and pilot) Strela-10/Shilka/Command Post = 10 pts each – Only at Sochi and Sukhumi – SAMs elsewhere do not reward any points Contributing to a kill = up to 50% of target value (pilot score only) Teamkill Penalty (pilot score only) = Accidental (200% of victim value) - Reckless (400% of victim value) - On purpose (ban) ROE Battle duration: 3 hours 1 life per pilot. Strikers hold short for 10mn before takeoff. if you disconnect, seek an admin on Teamspeak, explain what happened and ask for permission to rejoin. A DCS track will be saved automatically and may be requested for refereeing, if any suspicions or disputes. A fresh reboot is strongly recommended for stability and performance.
  15. You mean this Saturday mate. Good that you guys got Skyhell on Ready5! Mission-wise, I've sent a reminder to Mav to post the link for the mission file. It should be available shortly.
  16. Knock out format for 4 is always #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3. Seeding coalitions for JW2 is based on SA rankings (A2A and A2G), which is at the moment reflecting results from JW1. Top seed: Red Coalition (4057 SA points) Second seed: Blue coalition (2676 SA points) Third seed: Orange coalition (1388 SA points) Unseeded coalitions: Green and Purple (no points yet)
  17. Thanks mate. Yes too bad. Well I think we will have to go with the schedule above then. Bookmarked! thanks Soviet :)
  18. Gents, we have 5 coalitions with a total of 54 pilots! Thank you all, we hope everybody is going to have a blast! Sign up is closed now, but the wait list is open in case of any no-show. Here is the order of play for JW2: Please click this for time reference to avoid any confusion: Saturday 26 July @ 1700UTC on 51st server (TS: 51st.hopto.org)----> Green coalition VS Purple coalition Saturday 26 July @ 1700UTC on 104th server (TS: 50.197.62.13 - pw:phoenix)----> Blue coalition VS Orange coalition Sunday 27 July @ 1700UTC on 51st server (TS:51st.hopto.org)-----> Red coalition VS Winner of match 1. Saturday 2nd of August @ 1700UTC (Server:TBD)----->Winner of match 2 VS Winner of match 3 Hopefully, this schedule is going to suit everyone's timetable. An alternative would be to do match 1 on Friday 25 July at 1800UTC, then match 2 and 3 on Saturday for a Sunday final. This would be perfect as it would allow us to have a winner by the end of the weekend. Purple and green coalitions, please let us know asap if you can battle it out on Friday 25 July at 1800Z. Otherwise we will have to do the final battle next weekend and the schedule above would stand.
  19. Right on time Wolf, that last F-15C is yours. Welcome :)
  20. Maybe he didn't do that on purpose, but according to the acmi, he was closing in over 800kts with minimal lateral separation, and started turning way after the merge so maybe he was looking over his shoulder to see which way you'd go to force a 1 circle. Problem is that he forgot to hit the brakes early enough and ended up with a large turn radius. Timing issue I'd say. On a side note, always keep some lateral room and deflection at the merge, otherwise, fight could end before it starts if you see what I mean ;) You're clearly not a newbie, good energy management again :)
  21. Tricky Su-33, he tried set you up for a 2 circle with that high speed merge, then went for radius instead. Idea was good but poorly executed as his timing was off. Assuming it was well executed, counter would be to keep your energy advantage by spiraling up then coming down on him as he starts running out of speed. If he's good, seeing you not rising to the bait, he'd extend away. Sustained rate is always better than radius assuming you don't rise to the bait and recognize the situation soon enough. Aside from my 2 cents, you have nice skills and good potential.
  22. Nice effort Greg, thanks for the summary :)
  23. Sign up deadline has been set to 23 July. Then we will decide on the competition format, whether knock-out stages or round robin, which will depend on number of coalitions.
  24. Only Strelas and Shilkas in the primary target area (Sochi/Sukhumi). Other SAM types will be spread across the map (Tor, S-300, Patriot, Hawk..) but these will not reward points. Maverick, who designed the mission will post it soon for everybody to see. Noted and amended roster accordingly. Thanks for the heads up mate.
  25. Sweet! Thanks and Bienvenido :)
