Ya but for a simulator with only a few airports, it would be way easier to include it. Many players could use these charts, not only me. And this is a wishlist thread, so there is no need to say something like what you have said. It's a wish of me and other people.

No you don't need QFE because if you know the airfield elevation (f.e. 300 feet) and you see you are at 400 feet, you know you are 100 feet above the ground. That's why no one uses QFE. Because it's useless.

I would like to have charts (Arrival charts (STAR), approach charts (VOR/TACAN approach charts) and ground charts). Maybe departure charts (SID) as well. VOR/TACAN approach charts are necessery for planes without ILS instrumenting (f.e. the F-5e Tiger). It's impossible to land the F-55 under heavy IMC. (Ya I know the F-5 is not allowed to fly in IMC). And also a scrollable map on the keeboard like in Il2 Sturmovik.

In real aviation you get the QNH and the runway in use when you "request taxi" and when you report "inbound to land" The problem is DCS don't use help from real pilots much. I try to help make DCS more realistic for years. For example the beacons on the F-10 map. I tried to get DCS to implement that in 2013 I think and it took that long to have the beacons on the map finally. DCS has much potential but to create a good simulator for anything, you have to use help from people who are familiar with this.

What are CIS countries? No airport would give a pilot a QFE, because the pilot can only fly with a QNH. With QFE you never know your height above the ground away from the departure airport, so the QFE is useless. One of the most important things is to know your altitude and for altitude you need QNH. Ever have flown in low altitude at night where you don't see obstacles? Without knowledge of your altitude you end up in a mountain very quickly

Ya but we don't need a start up aprovement in DCS because... you know.... Never have seen someone who quits the sim because he didn't get startup aproved. Usually in real aviation we get the wind in knots. The A-10 CDU is able to take wind inserts and I think you have to insert in m/s but I'm not sure. But the rest is much important!
-
The QFE is useless on high airfields because the baro altimeters are not able to set such values. And the QFE is only useable at the specific airfield. Not en-route and not on other airfields. The QNH is universal
-
The ATC would be more useful if it was more like a real ATC. 1. No wind at startup (this is useless because the wind changes until take off) 2. No "request startup", VFR traffic doesn't request startup in real life and what should we do if we don't get startup approved? Close the sim? 3. First ATC contact is request taxi, ATC responses with runway in use and QNH (We need the QNH in Hg/in and HPa) 4. Next message AT THE HOLDING POINT, NOT ON THE RUNWAY is "ready for departure", ATC responses with wind and runway xy cleared for take off. In flight: 1. First contact "inbound to land", ATC responses with runway in use and QNH (not QFE) 2. ATC gives landing clearance on base or final with wind It's not the same as in real aviation but it's a good balance between useful reality and easy sim.

When I am looking down to the cockpit bottom the engine sound goes quiet. Also the engine sound doesn't work as it should (when shutting down, ...)

No, at the begin the plane stays stable and the more time the more swings the plane around the altitude (especially in higher altitudes) or the localizer
-
The autopilot flies a sinus wave vertical and horizontal while trying to hold altitude or while trying to follow the localizer.
-
For the next update we need the parking brake is set as standard setting, because if we join a server with hot start, the Mirage moves forward while loading and as soon as we sit in the plane we are almost off the taxi way.
-
I hope you understand this bug :book:
-
Yes this is the compass  Come on there is only one compass in the Mirage that can't be so hard :joystick:
-
The magnetic compass of the Mirage on the right site. There is only one :smilewink: And this one didn't point to magnetic north because on the map I flew almost south
-
Noo  I said the compass and not the HSI :D
-
Yep sorry, thank you :D Saw it :music_whistling:
-
Yea for the QNH you have to calculate QFE +/- elevation (mostly + and 1 HPa per 27 feet). So QFE: 1000, elevation: 54 feet -> QNH 1002. Or you set the airfield elevation during startup.
-
Ahh good to know. But the compass has to show magnetic north under all circumstances. Regardless to the variation.
-
I was unable to correct my daviation and RAZBAM forgot to insert that procedure in the POH. How to set a new deviation? And "+" should be east and "-" should be west.
-
On the last flight my INS showed a deviation of -112 °. This was a bug or something but the real bug: the compass showed north with this deviation so the compass is not the magnetic compass it has to be.

Above the red circles: VHF, LF, UHF, ELF

What does it do in real? I don't have this switch in my Cessna 172 :pilotfly:
