There's always some degree of trepidation with anything new but I haven't heard of anyone going back yet. -
I'm looking for a T.A.R.G.E.T tutor...

PiedDroit, Thanks for the links - I'll take a look but I've pretty much got it sorted now thanks - not as complicated as it looks and love it's flexibility. -

I love this program - it's way better than Saitek H.U.D and yes, your intuition served you well - thanks for your encouragement - appreciated -

I wish I had your restraint... it's quarter to three (am) here and I've just finished compiling checklists for a plane I don't even own! -

just thought I'd mention it in case you started wondering where all your SSD space had gone! Another thing which will really hammer the space on your SSD is your Crosswinds ... you'd be best to send them over to me for total peace of mind! -

nice to hear it's gone well... as and when you're ready, don't forget, you can regain quite a few gig of ssd space by deleting the windows.old (created automatically during the upgrade) -

W10 upgrade was a breeze for me.. accepted the on-line auto-update method - it does take quite some time to install even after the initial download... had a few issues afterwards in relation to Saitek controllers which have since been remedied with new drivers but this won't effect you in any case. (and, as you know I'll soon be rid also) :bye_2: Apart from that, everything went smoothly - prep-wise, with all essential files, configs, custom settings etc backed up, the only other thing you might be wise to do is de-activate your DCS modules. Get that damn box open and stop wussing about man! :D -
Look here... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765 Enjoy!

Well, it's gonna be a busy day today so just taking a few moments to say a big thank you to everyone at ED and third party developers for their relentless commitment and attention to detail throughout the year. I'm sure I speak for everyone in this wonderful community when I say we now have the finest flight-sim on the planet! Whilst praising those at the cutting edge, let's not forget all those, 'behind the scenes', whose hard work and dedication make ED forums such a nice place to visit. Wishing all fellow 'flyers' a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year Personal thanks to those that have steered me in the right direction throughout 2015 - you know who you are! Here's to many more... Cheers everyone!

Believe me... it will work... just remember to wipe that stupid smile off your face before you return to the table! -
I want another chance! Ireland's worst air disaster occured early this morning when a two-seater Cessna plane crashed into a cemetary. Rescue workers say they have already uncovered over 500 bodies and expect the number the rise. Pick me, pick me, pick me.... I believe in :santa:

Congrats to Worther 1 and dburne.... dburne, I've been giving your particular situation some careful thought and I have come up with a cunning plan. With a few years under your belt, if you're seen to have a few bevvies it will come as no surprise to any of your guests if you just ask to me excused on the premise of needing to visit the rest room regularly. Now, just jump into the pit and give them Crosswinds a quick blast! LOL... No-one will ever suspect a thing! -

hansangb, Thanks for this info... - very useful - the Thrustmaster Tutorial (video #2) is better than nothing but needs to go much deeper for those really wanting to exploit what this software has to offer. This kind of detail cannot be covered in sufficient details in such a short a video, it needs to be much longer and preferably accompanied by some audio. -

Hiya dburne, Wussy! LOL ... I've done some work on my first custom profile and it was looking quite good. I say was, because when I went into the DCS options menu, I could see the axis's had been set up but remembered the initial one's have to be cleared, re-entered and saved. So, I did what I thought was right but when I later tried to edit the profile a message popped up saying the file was corrupt in line 1. A few seconds later the whole profile just literally disappeared and I haven't seen it since! So, I started again but was more keen to resolve the Helios issue I mentioned earlier. I have now got that cracked so I'm running with the ball again... happy bunny now! Part way through rebuilding my profile again - something for me to do tomorrow whilst the wife performs her public duty - jury service (she's well impressed to be sitting on a two week trial this close to Christmas)... I wonder if they'd let her take the lappy and knock up a few more profiles for me? catch you soon... -

I'm going to take a look at these profiles: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1292863/ I note the guys are advising not to use them with DCS 1.5+ I'll just use them as reference material to see how they've configured everything. It should be quite a useful exercise.
