  1. Alright guys (and gals!), the site is up and running. No lessons available yet, but some reading can be done, it will explain how the LET lessons will work, how they are built, how you can purchase it, etc. There are some other cool features also, and the forum is available. Here's the address: http://LeadingEdgeTraining.us And don't forget to scroll down on the frontpage, it seems it's easy to get caught up on the screenshots... :). Thanks for everyone's patience, this is a major milestone on our way to providing the best DCS training available anywhere!

It is already in an earlier message in this thread, but here's the address once again: http://LeadingEdgeTraining.us And don't forget to scroll down on the frontpage, it seems it's easy to get caught up on the screenshots... :). 3. Alright, if anyone had created a user through the login system at Leading Edge Training's website, chances are they were deleted. Sorry about that, but I just finished erasing more than 600 users created by spam bots. Those bots are crazy!!! I have now added a Captcha field to the registration (you know, the image with random letters and numbers in it that you have to read and retype) to hopefully avoid all spam. The forum is also online, although it is locked at the moment. Soon it will open and we can transfer this conversation to there. My goal is to have most of the website features up and running by the end of this weekend. Best regards,
  4. Hi guys, Yep, that's it, most of the sections are still offline as I put the last touches to them. As the next days go by, more and more sections will be added. I will keep everyone updated.
  5. Hi Booger, Yes, honestly, a year. Actually, longer now :smilewink:. The build up of equipment, software, putting the business and website together was a big part of that. Then it turns out having a baby takes more time than making one :music_whistling:. I appreciate the continued support I have received from everyone, and will just let the final product speak for itself. Remember, no one is forced to buy it. I do appreciate you being honest though. Stay tuned,
  6. Hi norm, The pricing structure is still being designed. Rest assured you will get loads of bang for your buck. And the structure of purchasing only what you need will still exist, so you chose how much you want to spend.
  7. Hey ArtMan, Thanks for the interest! Have you tried the start sequence video I put together as a sample about a year ago? It's the first one in thislist, named Leading Edge Training. You will be able to buy only the videos that interest you, so what you pay will agree with your budget.
  8. That's already done and ready to go :).
  9. Hi Divinuz, Slower than I'd like, but it is coming along. One of the delays was that after much discussions with the beta testers, which by the way include a real-world military helo pilot from Eastern Europe, it was decided that flight school needed to be the first series released. We are now in the script development stage. After that is validated we go to production, testing, then release. I'm sorry it is taking a long time, but I rather release a great set of videos rather than a rushed one.
  10. I also love how one of the manpads seems to be a guy stationed atop a tower, very unexpected!!!
  11. Nice! Maybe you can leak a small description of what it's all about???
  12. Hi TAIPAN, Take a look at Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Scripts\AI\Detection.lua. You will see that your own lights affect the distance at which AI will detect you. It is even broken down by the different lights, such as NAV, LANDING, TIPS, SPOT, and STROBE, each with different effects on the total detection factor. BTW Dragon, I just watched the video, great flying at the end!
  13. Dan, don't forget to update the Game List in the TrackIR software once you install it, I think it still comes with DCS missing until you do that.
  14. I completely agree. The immersion factor (I keep going back to this one) is incredible. I just played the fourth mission, and the sirens at the beginning set the mood perfectly!
  15. Oh yeah, I understood, and I am not trying to be picky, just trying to make this as realistic/best as possible. It just took me a second to understand what the message meant. I guess the best way would be to see what the military uses. Maybe "Heads out" is correct! :)
  16. OK, just finished missions two and three. Mission 2 was really cool, the realism keeps going up. I started to panic as I couldn't find the group of containers at first, and thought the tough Ltc would ground me, but I finally found it, then couldn't get a lock for some reason, fired anyways, still afraid to fail the mission, halfway through the flight I tried another lock and it worked (the aspect ratio was good anyways, the Shkval aim was not moving much, it would have been OK without the lock), hit the right container, and watched the lead play with his rockets. Again, the sense of realism was definitely there for me! Awesome job! Mission 3 was next. First off, in the Mission Briefing, under the ROE, the text "you are not authorized to cross the line of separation at no prize", I think the word "prize" is not the best one for this meaning, maybe "at no time"? When we arrived at the LZ, I spotted what looked to be a BMP-1 and some infantry on the other side of the lake, so my slow down was done sideways, as we moved south towards our landing zone, so I could face East and keep them on my nose just in case. Still, I was taken by surprise when they fired, but in a matter of three or four seconds I was firing the cannon. Good thing I didn't hit them, as I then got the radio message from Pogrom saying not to engage. Nice job on this one! by the way, when we arrive at the lake, the Mi-8 calls "205, heads out" I understand the meaning, but in English, maybe it would be better to say "205, heads up" or something similar. The next missions will have to wait until tomorrow. Very good job to the team so far!
  17. So maybe set a small bit of wind to force a side? I chose to takeoff from a hover over the runway, and was a bit surprised whet they came up towards me :pilotfly: Oh, I understand how I can tell how long, my question was I was asked to report 2 minutes, I had no real way to do that! Loving this campaign, great job!
  18. Hi Stingray, From the MENU page, the middle key should be PLAN. Press that, and you should see the a map and your flight plan. Just hit ACTIV to activate it.
  19. I have to agree, absolutely, to the TrackIR recommendation. It is hard to explain what an improvement it really delivers in getting all that this simulator is about!
  20. OK, just finished the first mission. Here are my comments: SPOILER ALERT First off, the immersion factor is very, very good! I love the chatter from the Mi-8 guys, "...now I fly this fat lady", haha, that was really good! In the Mission Goal, you refer to the Mi-8s as 307, while in picture 5 of 6 in says "302". I noticed that at about 8 minutes after the start of the mission, two Su-25 land, but it seems they land in the opposite direction than everybody else took off in. When approaching Gudauta, I am asked to report 2 minutes from the airport. Even though this seems realistic, I don't think I have a way of doing that, so it feels a little strange... I love the radio-quality of the 307 radio calls, very good job! I like the accents too, it helps in my immersion. So, now I am hooked, and am going to go fly mission 2!
  21. Are you sure? I have never heard "Left 1 o'clock" as opposed to "11 o'clock". I think this will cause a lot of confusion...
  22. I don't get that message, but since I don't have a paid Rapidshare account, I still haven't been able to download it, as it says too many Free users are downloading it now. I have been trying since last night. Igor, I would gladly host this file for you in my web server, I don't have bandwidth limits. Just let me know.
  23. I think we will need a long and costly Investigation Board to determine these answers...
  24. Enemy helos do. As soon as you range them, they take evasive action.
  25. Zembla is correct. The name of that switch is the Weapons Control System power. English Manual 1.01, pages 6-83 and 6-84.
