  1. Hi guys, Just to let everyone know, we are now working on the sequence of the lessons. In that study, it looks like we will have a Flight School and a Combat School, each of those divided into Basic and Advanced series. I'll keep everyone updated.
  2. Very nice Trujillo!
  3. Sure Cradle, The last two digits are what we call seconds, since the LAT LONG format is usually in degrees, minutes, and seconds. Some equipment, like our PVI, needs the seconds in a decimal form. So what you do is simply divide the seconds by 60, as in 60 seconds in a minute, and round the result to a single digit. In your example, 36'30, take the last set of digits, 30, and divide by 60. You get .5. 12'18 is next. Take the 18, divide it by 60, and you end up with 12.3. For your second example, 36'10, take 10, divide it by 60. The result is about .166 Round it to .2. Now that you've seen how to do it, you can understand that what we are doing is converting a format that has degreeºminute'second" in simply degreeºminute', but we don't want to lose the precision of the seconds, so we convert them to a fraction of a minute (by dividing by 60) then add it to the original minutes. Makes sense?
  4. Gents, pardon the ignorance, I have an X-Fi, but know nothing of what you speak of. Care to elaborate? Thanks,
  5. Hey, color is looking much better, nice!!!! By the way, were you able to put her down in one piece after that third shot??? :)
  6. Great stuff! Keep going, this will be a great mod! I do agree with significant, for a better effect, you should try and alter the colors of the photo textures.
  7. doom, not sure you got it, J39 was replying in jest to a spam post.
  8. I also tried and could not get it to work. Frederf, I agree, I have played with real-world navigation systems that have that function, to run through a flight plan while on the ground to check for problems. Either it is not simulated, or it takes more than turning the knob to SIM.
  9. Hello everyone, just stopping by for a quick update. Beta testing team is in full swing, and its a really talented one at that! They are currently reviewing the script for the first video, as I shoot parts that will be final. The website is almost to the point of showing. I have some more visual things to get done, but the eCommerce section is done, as well as a major part of the Support area. Still too soon to know if the video will make it out by the end of the year. See you in the next update.
  10. I think the technique used by ED to render clouds is voxels and volume rendering.
  11. Hi guys, Just came back from a work trip. LET is progressing very well. I am about complete with the first video, and have started the shooting for it. Potential beta testers were contacted today (check your Private Messages inbox!). The aim is for the first video to be out by the end of the year, but it's a little too soon to be sure. So, progress is good, material is coming out, all is well! As usual, stay tuned :)
  12. Hey Dragon, Yeah, since I started with Black Shark, when at night, I have never used the purple cockpit light past the takeoff point, I too prefer the completely dark cockpit, relying only on the NVG.
  13. Beautiful shots, Dragon! They feel familiar, after I just tried your new mission :). Looks like they got some pot shots at you, but you made it back! Well done!
  14. Just tried it, cleaned two out of the three radar sites, then got shot down :). A very good story, and nighttime increases difficulty ten-fold! Thanks for another great mission!
  15. That's what I call a target-rich environment :).
  16. Hi Butcher, what procedure are you referring to? My english manual does not have a page 2-69.
  17. Hi Ramstein, ADFs are ground beacons, you cannot assign them to helicopters. Read up on it here.
  18. I have not seen them return fire yet.
  19. Very good, great job!
  20. Found this by searching for "shkval yellow".
  21. It seems it is not yet implemented.
  22. Taki, that's normal and expected. a) This is explained in one of those threads, I believe. Helo rotors tilt due to the greater lift the advancing blades have when compared to the retreating blades (this is called dissymetry of lift). Read more about it here. Because the rotors rotate in opposite directions, they also tilt in opposite directions. b) That's easy to happen in a helo, but it shouldn't, you can fly coordinated (centered ball) at any speed.
  23. I did a quick search for "Cyborg Evo force feedback" and found this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=38463
  24. Additional reading on blade intersection: Try this and also this.
