  1. Sith has 3 gigs and everything is smooth, having 2 cards does help.
  2. I upgraded all my Home TV's from HD to SUHD and I had 1 55" Samsung 240Hz HD doing nothing, so I decided to use it until I set up a Pit design in auto cad and had cut into its parts. but Display: 55" 1920x1080P 240Hz HD TV Native Resolution
  3. No worries, try the 2560x1440 Screen Lua first.
  4. Ok so I started experiencing something interesting, at time randomly ill try to accelerate to say 37MPH. but the max speed I'll get is 11MPH. I'll switch tanks and try again and it works 37MPH. I find this strange so I figured I'd report it. this is in 1.5 OB
  5. just one 55", when I turn on full screen mode IE. LALT ENTER the font distorts (but kinda readable) and the clouds flicker.
  6. If you look out into the distance you can see that the night vision resolution need fixing. That was taken with Msaa 4x ATF AA 16x.
  7. My display is a Samsung 55" HD Display, I'm not sure if it 120 or 240 HZ, but that's neither here nor there. The human eye cannot tell the difference past 60. The idea is to get as much FPS at the high settings so vsync can keep the game at a solid 60, 80, or 90. And yes I know that. But at high settings and vsync with 1 card. I'm still getting those dips In performance. With out shadows or heat. 2cards it's ok, but everything flickers Also the fonts look blurry. Also with everything running(TGP,Mav) 2 cards vsync and pan around I get dips. So it's a workaround not a fix. My goals is to max my FPS at 60 anyway, thru my card. It only works in crossfire mode. As I stated there are still issues with that too. And others are still having issues as sith said a few pages ago. I'm moving on to testing other things, like forcing crashes, freezes, multiplayer, testing in busy missions, etc.
  8. Ok no here's what you does. Set cockpit settings to 512 (not every frame). Close DCS completely. Restart then try settings. Now I've done it. In crossfire mode I 120 FPS, but I still get dips to around 70ish with just TGP boat switch aft. And just above 60 with both TGP and Mav. His plan is more of a work around then a fix. Also if you're not getting the FPS that manageable then adjust the other things like msaa and other AA settings then work on textures and such. Until it's manageable for now. None of my shadows, hear blur, are on. And with the performance of my cards I should have FPS that's stable with TGP and Mav on and shadows on with a low heat blur and I cannot.
  9. No it only made it more manageable. And for me manageable is not fixed. what about you?
  10. I ran tests at both gpu's at 1120ghz as well as 1 at 1120ghz and one off at 300Ghz. And that 12x aa edge-detect isn't the issue because at standard 4x there is still a massive drop in FPS. Also others are having the same issues as I am. And my resolution is 1920x1080p
  11. Again I'm running 2 cards I can afford to have my settings higher then one card, the testers for ED have same or similar cards and can have their settings maxed. So the same should be for all of us. I spoke with AMD and the 200 series are able to Handle this new version of DCS on ultra with a crossfire enabled card. At 60 to 75 FPS. As for the supersampling, any less I cannot read the pit text.
  12. this might be a long shot, but you can try this. Try editing the "options.lua" in "C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\" ["graphics"] = { ["height"] = 2560, ["width"] = 1440, }, But there might be a chance where is you change your settings in-game it may revert back to 1920x1080. Also only edit the height and width sections with in the Options.lua. Or Try the attached file and add it to the "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Config\MonitorSetup" Folder Then open DCS Openbeta, go to settings and select the 2560x1440 Screen from the monitors dropdown menu and Save. Good luck I hope that works for you. I'd test is but My monitor is 1920x18080. one more thing is by chance it all goes to hell the fix for this is as follows: Edit these sections within the options.lua in "C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\" ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera", ["height"] = 1920, ["width"] = 1080, 2560x1440Camera.lua
  13. yes the shortcut created by the installer links to "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe". So what happens is it runs the DCS_updater.exe file then with in the EXE it launches the dcs.exe file and runs DCS. Its designed to always keep DCS up to Date.
  14. I applauded you that's a great workaround, but its far from a solution. I can run in crossfire with the settings you suggested and get around 70 FPS with just TGP. That's still a drop from 120 FPS, and With both TGP and MAV its in the 50's. That's the Issue that both of those Camera's are causing a drop in FPS. For those with Single cards my readings were 80 FPS with TGP and MAV Off, TGP turned on 53 FPS and both MAV and TGP 38 FPS. With both MFCD's on MAV an TGP that's a 42 FPS Drop. Yes that's above 30 FPS, but that's a drop over 50%. That's deal able for now. But unacceptable, and needs to be fixed. Now also these numbers I'm giving you is while stationary on the ground, Flying is another all around mess with FPS when those Targeting systems are active.
  15. Sith Please review this log files and see if there is any abnormality. dcs.txt DirectX.txt
  16. I tested the f-15c and GPU was around 98% and I was getting great FPS somewhere around 75 to 90 with 1 GPU, But if vsync on solid 60 I'm sure. With 2 gpu's with the f-15c FPS does drop, but the issue is a known issue. I'd also like higher msaa with f-15c but the higher above 4x the FPS drops dramatically. I hope the devs can figure this FLIR FPS issue. Question are you on Windows 10 or a not? Maybe I need to reinstall dx11, I just thought maybe it was corrupted by window 10 install.
  17. Very basic. 6 vehicles on the whole map including the a-10c 1 trigger ai off. I added it so you can see on your box A-10C Test2.miz
  18. Here is mine (see Attached Screenshots). You think that might be it, if so what's the fix?
  19. Can you test you're GPU usage, I've noticed that mine is at 100% on both cards. Even if crossfire disabled. Ex: Enabled GPU 1 100% 1120 GHz 1024mb GPU 1 100% 1120 GHz Disabled GPU 1 100% 1120 GHz 1024 mb GPU 1 100% 300 GHz Shouldn't the GPU be about 60% to 80%. The above are examples, but I'm in the 89% to 98%
  20. Our cards are similar, I see the frustration. What if it's a AMD thing?
  21. I'm using a 2x AMD R9 270x 2gig these cards don't use nvidia, I tried vsync on other tests and still same result. I'm stumped. Also tested with modelview off, normal, enlarged same issue. My theory is there's a rendering issue for the map size within the TGP and Mav that causing the drop in FPS in cards with less the 4gigs. I'm starting to feel that it's about time for the R9 390x 8gig. But that only helps me not the guys also experiencing this.
  22. & I added a video that show the exact issue that is being reported in the Thread, before anyone asks my specs are below, the video was recorded with crossfire enabled both GPU's were at 1120GHz. I started the video at the main menu started a non busy single aircraft mission, 0 triggers, 0 movement at airport other then the A-10c on runway. Once the mission started I panned around and you can see just moving my head caused a drop in FPS. engaged the TGP and started the Mav Timer. Also I'm not moving, flying or otherwise causing reloading of the preload area. Watch the Dips in FPS while I look around the cockpit and Right to Left. TrackIR is off and I'm using the Keyboard. With Only TGP On: Boat Switch Center: Normal 60 FPS what I started with at the beginning of Mission. 4 Min 33 Sec: Boat Switch Moved Aft: drop to around 20 FPS 4 Min 43 Sec: Boat Switch Forward: Drop to around 20 FPS Repeated above TGP and Mav On: 5 Min 26 Sec: Mav on FPS Dropped to around 20 FPS TGP Boat Switch Center 5 Min 48 Sec: Mav off TGP Aft Drop to around 20 FPS 5 Min 51 Sec: Mav on TGP Aft Drop to around 15 FPS Please Make sure your Quality Level is Set to 1080P Not Auto Video does go black during loading of mission just wait thru it If Above images are unreadable I've attached the photos in the zip file below. Please submit this bug to the Devs as these issues are Real out on our end. Also doesn't matter the setting in game lowering the textures and such still results in the same issues as well as whether 1 GPU is enabled or 2. Please also let me point something out 1.5 is supposed to provide better performance then 12.16.x, and I may have had less FPS around 40. But it was a stable 40 FPS with very Little dips in FPS with the TGP and Mav On. In 1.5 I'm seeing better FPS, but serious dips in FPS across the WHOLE GAME! I understand this is a Beta, but WE as a Community are not lying here. We love this game and would like to see it be the best it can be, but please report these FPS issues they are quiet real and is some cases Game Killing for us. driverphotos.zip HWMonitor.txt
  23. LMAO, maybe he has robot eyes, and let him mess up his PC's life span by extremely OC. Not to mention that the human eye cannot tell the difference passed 60 FPS. 4K UHD, & HD Videos are 60 FPS. Technically anything higher 60 FPS currently is useless to the human eye, but 120 FPS keeps the eyes from seeing dips in FPS within video creation.
  24. The whole file doesn't work in 1.5 I tried it to cap my FPS, with the attempt to maybe prevent such a drastic FPS drop with the A-10C bugs. All I found was when a max FPS of say 60 FPS. While in game the FPS would max out at whatever FPS my card provided say 120 FPS.
  25. Providing the ability to place a object like tanks, farp, infantry, etc then open a preview window to adjust the initial heading, formation, location on mountain, etc. without having to enter the mission to preview the positioning of the units. Or use outdated witchcraft to do such.
