  1. I've been using for modified label file for a while and since there now is an option for full, abbreviated and dot labels as default, for multiplayer purposes, i'd like to use them but they do not work. I have renamed the labels.lua in my savegame folder. I only get FULL labels, whether the selection is Full, abbreviated or dot. None makes them go away though. Anything i can do? Thanks!
  2. My system and sim is on SSD, i have 16gb ram, and i only have caucasus. Processor MIGHT be (4670) little bottleneck, but only if Yak really is more demanding than Hornet.... because the Hornet works very smooth. .. and every other module infact... I actually might get frame drops with yak, and only with empty map. I only do aerobatics with it... i will investigate further, but there is a chance this is turbulence related... (i usually have turbulence in every mission i do, i find smooth air boring)
  3. Is anyone else having stuttering with Yak but not another DCS modules? My fps is fairly good but very often i get a sudden "jolt" or "lag spike" or what ever with the Yak-52, where other modules, such as Spitfire and Hornet are buttery smooth all the time... Unoptimized code or something wrong in my end? I have 4760K 16gb ram and 1070. Thanks
  4. Yes, thanks, unchecking this feature seems to get rid of the issue...
  5. Hi, not sure was my explanation bad but i am using that key bind in order to re-center my track ir. The problem is that i have to do it VERY often, when i look from left to right when pulling high G's. It is very annoying
  6. Hello, I have had TIR for years and been using it semi-actively on DCS, but my flying is mostly aerobatics or very casual shooting (like bomb runs etc), but if i do intense dogfighting, i have issue with TIR in DCS, where my center view becomes screwed up very quickly very badly. So i need to re-center TIR again with a button. Now i use the same profile in IL-2 1946 and i have absolutely no issues on that game, so is this a bug in DCS? I've found IL2 to be near perfect with TIR, it's almost impossible to get the glitching when you turn your head too much, i wish i could get similar experience in DCS.
  7. So i bought the YAK-52, i've waited for SO long a trainer with piston engine and tricycle gear. A slow plane that could do aerobatics. But to be truthful, the YAK-52 was not on my list, mainly due to CCW prop direction that screws up my musclememory :D that said, it's good to be adaptive with different systems. Anyway. I need to clean up my rudder pedal -shoes because i do need them again! This plane is all about pressing rudder pedal and i like it eventhough it's the wrong foot usually. I love the L39, but being purely aileron plane it is not so exciting to fly... i love the spitfire, but the trim is awful for my controllers (button too slow, axis is too inaccurate), and being tail-wheel.. a little too demanding, although perfectly manageable. In the YAK the trim control is perfect, the sensation being in the air is exceptional, i love how it rocks and yaws in the air. The engine sounds awesome. It's very good balance between being challening and being very easy. Easy to fly but challenge to fly well. I hope someday we will see similar slow piston tricycle trainer that is more western. Few extra questions: Is there any purpose for flaps / gear lever to be on neutral? Can i skip it? I mean is there any real hazards not-neutralzing them, like loosing air pressure or something? I prefer simple up and down selections... About cowl flaps and oil cooler.. are there any procedures for them, or only as desired? (like, open for take off, closed for descent, no expections)... I usually keep them open. For me this plane is not so much into systems, it's about stick and rudder ... Thanks
  8. I can concur the Hornet's sneakiness. I've seen it coming barely hearing anything, once very near the sound goes loud FAST.
  9. Don't want to start new topic, but how do i know the amraam has gone pitbull?
  10. i just updated and yes some controls were unbinded, was not too bad, all the curves, axis, even seat adjustment and ldg light button was still set on joystick. and most importantly the view buttons. Trim, weapon release, speed brake, tdc, acm modes, weapon selector, dispenser.... i think that was it.
  11. Accidents happen but if this was just a typo or something in a wrong place or something very little detail, i really hope that anyone who has not updated yet will get a fixed update atleast...? or am i missing something?
  12. Ha! So it is, thanks. Never heard that before. Wonder, what the heck were they planning on doing with it tho..
  13. The US President Trump was visiting us here in Finland today and one Hornet had to identify an unauthorized flight. A photo: https://is.mediadelivery.fi/img/1920/ed6b4d1007764799b55cafbbbac76023.jpg.webp I am interested in the thing on the center store, what is it? Some sort of sensor? Also, can someone identify those missiles on the wingtips, are those 9X sidewinders? Looks kind a small? Thanks
  14. While flying i got "TK PRESS LO" caution, had no idea and referred to real Hornet manual and cycled the bleed valves. Went off, but came back again. Made me wonder. Since the DCS has an option for random system failures, but i've practically never had any in other planes (i prefer simpler planes tho). I really hope Hornet would, when finished, give minor warnings, errors and failures like that, if the check box for sys failures are enabled. How it is on A10 for example? Of course, this should not happen on every flight, but every now and then to keep us on toes. Thanks.
  15. Can you confirm that the MAC planes can be bought separately if i only want Mig-15 for example?
  16. Assumption 1: All of these AC have simple non-clickable cockpits? Assumption 2: if so, we will be able to buy the new ones separately for DCS? I have the FC3 F-15 and Su27 and i've always loved them. I have the Hornet, L39, Mig-21, F86 etc but i really value the idea behind Flaming cliffs. i hope every jet would eventually be released as non-clicky simple systems with same flight dynamics as the premium version. I am looking forward to buy a Mig-15 with very reduced price (like 3 usd i got the F15!) to have fun with it and explore the flight dynamics! Zero interest in cockpit buttons on that one!
  17. As for labels, i suggest you to grab one of the DCS's label mods. The Labels.uai file is just a textfile and can be modified. The stock labels are way too cheaty, but community has made bunch of better labels, some help just barely, some more. Turning your head with trackir, let alone hat, watching world thru a regular PC screen just makes labeling justified, what ever purists say.
  18. Yes thanks everyone. I found a decent labeling system that i modified to my own needs. Airplanes have purple smudge that goes away when near, much easier to spot against sky etc and against ground if keeping track, but very easy to lose sight against ground. Weapons are not labeled. Ground and naval targets have similar label on ranges 2-5km. Very happy! I'll add the file if someone is interested. Labels.lua
  19. Thanks will try. Although these are very importang settings so i think they there should be option in vanilla dcs tbh
  20. Very good points. I might try little curve on the joystick axis at some point, as of now i have no curves set.
  21. I wish there could be more options for labels. I hate using labels but finding enemies in bare eyes is very hard sometimes... (to a point it is not realistic anymore or fun in my mind) I have some suggestions... Add an option for a simple label, like, a red dot on the enemy, nothing else. More visible, but not too visible. Maybe even possibility to choose custom color for enemy/friendly tag. Maybe a slider for the distance label starts to show up Option to exxagerate object size. IIRC this was once implemented but is now removed. Add reflection flashes / other occassional effect that give away the target
  22. I'll probably try that at somepoint although using AP sounds a tad cheating .. =) As of now, if it is not PIO, the effect feels very artificial, i mean i am less than 5-10 meters from the basket, everything is smooth and works well, all the sudden out of nowhere huge oscillation, without any warning...
  23. First tries here... i'm with KC130 at 15000ft absolutely no weather... the IAS of the tanker is 260 knots. Everything goes smooothly i am very near the basket ... until hell breaks loose and huge oscillation happens. I am not sure is this wake turbulence or PIO ..
  24. Okay, not sure that is this bug at all but anyway... the Mk82 (atleast that) detonates on impact even if the fuze is OFF. Also, if devs are reading, please check my ADI stuck thread again, if it has not gotten any notice since i added trackfile to it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213533 Thanks. bombfuze.trk
  25. Yeah i once tested that and it indeed detonated. Probably a bug
