My decision now is Intel 6800 (or higher maybe) quad core, i dont know about the motherboard, and im going with 8800gtx. Now Im going to look for a good upgradable MOBO, power supply, case, and advanced cooling system. Ram im just going to buy one stick of the 3gb corsair for 300 bucks because that sounds awsome and will keep me happy for a year or more. Thank you guys for all the support ill be looking around still but right now im really busy in trying to work and getting ready to move out of Iraq.

I do like the squad fire rushes simulation AI(same tactics we do in Marines), especially that one mission where im a elite sniper at a water tower sniping incoming SLA from there Ural and blown up Gaz.

Yeah vista does has its issues but it seems to making progress though. Okay heres some more questions. If am understanding correctly intel motherboards can support AMD Processors vise versa? Which graphics card to go for now? ATI or Invidia. Im interested in Crossfire or SLI capability!

I tried it but not with a joystick and its not modeled very well to my opinion. Feels like it flyies the same as Super Cobra!

I agree with you 100% about the advice that people give me and i will take it. Yes i did have alot of issues of having my sound card crap on my games when it runs it for a while. I upgrade to Vista a month ago and had all of my updates done but one thing failed my my graphics card upgrading drivers to 7.7 or higher because this stupid installer installs. OH BTW i spent 10 bucks on drivers for my notebook SB ZS card, which is crap i dont understand why they charge me for drivers to take full effect! I had trouble updating my chipset drivers and i tried everything from intel website. Sagernotebook support dint have vista chipset drivers so i ran out of luck there. But anyways this laptop is my parents so i dont really care what happenes to it now.

Im okay with getting a quad now. I never tryied to overclock because its dangerous and make the processor overheat. This is what i heard though so i cant take any chances unless i know 100% what i am doing. I do plan to upgrade, only the graphics card and ram. Those two are the only thing i really care about. Processor i want to spend as much as i can into and get it out of my mind of trying to upgrade CPU when the new ones come out.

Well why dont ED use same models of BS and just make a new ground aircraft flyable. Just concentrate on the aircraft it self and everything else leave be. It would be awsome to be able to fly Su-24 or New helicopter which is my favorite Mi-28 NightHawk!(flying mouse looking armour buster)

I will return in September and then i will take 14 days of leave to see my parents. I will give them the computer then. I am going to start ordering parts in few weeks and that for sure too! Oh BTW I found another source of internet but i have to pay! About the Rec Center here for some reason they dont support in giving new equipment and they wont let us use our laptops on there broadband. Last year it was different. Wow point taken i will buy intel! Im not joking eighter. I cant respond very much because half of the keyboard is missing. Rec center here in Iraq is poorly supported by kbr Rep. civilian contractors......ahhhhhhhh sorry this very annoying...im using on screen keyboard taking way to long to type!!

Very nice WhiskyRomeo thank you, i do have alot of catching up. I need more people tell me how Intel is better before i can deside to go with them. Other than that i will wait a few months until AMD Quad comes out. I im afraid making a mistake in buying something that im going to be restling like i do now with this intel ware!

Kuky im on lots of drugs but thats besides the point(not really). Look, experience is what i can give you 100% and not much about hardware. I dont have time to spend trying to keep up with hardware upgrades. I went from what i had before and what i now! I dont have a ego about being a geek but i do have a ego in what my experience is coming from!:smilewink: I went from 3.0ghz processor and upgraded to 3.8ghz and guess what it did only half a fraction of performance. So tell me if you can about what the problem is with AMD processors.

Okay, i am sticking with quad core and ATI graphics. I have no knowledge on Crossfire though. AMD and ATI teamed up to work with each other so that they can configure the hardware to work perfectly together unlike Intel where they just make there sh*t fast as processors and motherboards but when it comes to adding other hardware to work with it, it has a major down grade performance. Thats why i choose ATI and AMD partners to bring out everything good for every one. Intel slows down when you have youre simple programs running in the back ground, ie anti virus, ati Control Panel, and others. And as for hardware i always had a problem with sound card working with intel's ware. It work until one point it will just start to slow down and then speed back up. I live in the Barracks and we have metal wall lockers so it limited but i have a tendancy to make room so im not worried about the space! :)

OH BTW i am building it for gaming and ONE QUESTION though! Why is it matter if you make it a gaming computer or not it will function like any other computer if it gots alot of speed! People sometimes say wow looks like a gaming computer and have the thought of not able to put regular working apps.?! Weird but okay maybe im weird!

Sorry guys i wasnt been able to use internet we got shut off of all communications because something bad happened here probably read it on the news about now. About my budget, its around 3,000 to 4,000 max. Im really excited to actually start enjoying building a PC from scratch my self. Last one i built my self was 4 years ago and it was the bomb i loved it because it ran smoothly for LOMAC. I built a AMD 2400 2.4 with ati 9800 pro 256mb with creative sound card with 1.5g ram. I already got 21 ich TFT CTR LCD bright as hell screen. You can connect tv, camera, camcorder, pretty much anything. I got COUGAR HOTAS and and Tracket IR 4 pro with the pro clip! AMD NOOOOOO INTEL they suck abunch im sorry about that. AMD all the way. I know Intel benched higher because they came back but im not interested in supporting intel anymore. Im running little late but ill check in hopefully tommorow. Thanks for the feed back you guys!:smilewink:

well i had a post about few days ago and i had only two or three views!

I made enough money to build my first desktop in 6 years. I am retiring my laptop and giving it away to my parents. They have a old P3 with 300mhz and thier harddrive just went out on them. I just need yalls advice in what parts to order. Which hardware is the best out there! Oh and websites would be appreciated to. Pretty much i need yall feed back on some hardware that you have. Oh the cooling system is a must. I have no knowledge on that and i do not know anything about power supplies.

I downloaded the 32bit vista ati 7.7 catalyst control panel and the drivers but when i try to install it, it wont do it like the other version i got as 7.1! 7.1 driver install and take way longer and more files are seen when it installs. 7.7 take less than 6 seconds and says its done successfully but it dint I cannot update to 7.7 it only stays at 7.1. I need help this is the first time i had problem with ATI drivers. OH BTW dont buy SAGERNOTEBOOKS laptop because they suck at support! Thanks in advance:)

From what i read in the LOMAC FC manual the kh-58 usually switches to back up radar to keep going. Its way to sophisticated to be that cheap just to wall to the ground and not to do anything unless some how Georgia has built a EMP defense system!
