Oh i had to hold down the trigger before launching the firmware update! But i have a issue about launching the profile and game same time. I go to FOXY then load the Flammin Cliffs 1.1 version TMJ file (made by Nico.)and then show the directory of the .EXE of the game. As soon i do that and go to launch from launch corner display icon... it gives me a error in something about checking youre FOXY and how i got my game set up! It wont launch the game. I never had that problem until now! How do i go around this to fix it? Im using Win Vista 32bit COUGAR HOTAS software i download from the website.

I vote coming out this Christmas! Great time for people buying stuff which is good for the ED!

I still having no luck in getting my COUGAR fixed! I installed the latest drivers and firmware for the vista 32 bit OS installation package and still no detection of the stick! I dont understand why it stop working...:(

Okay this is going to be my last.... Okay when i bought the COUGAR HOTAS. I looked in the manual and followed step by step but some things in installation dint not work like the manual suppose to say. It felt like something was going to fast and it just skipped over it, i dont what. I install the software then went to install FOXY. So I went to CCP not the windows CCP but the software its self and it it worked like it suppose to. I played with the COUGAR HOTAS for a week and everything was running smooth! One day i decided to Defrag my system and so i did! After the Defrag my joystick could not be detected. So i unistalled it from scratch. It asked me to plug it in and i did! After doing this it went into my desktop and all the sudden it displayed message saying and asking me to install DATA IN and OUT drivers eighter find it my self or let the system do it. Well i let the system do it! Sometimes it works but most of the time it fails and gives me a this "device might not work properly" Every time this is what happenes! sometimes it detects the joystick but when i launch the analizer all it does just sit there when i move the stick or throttle! I recently, like two days ago upgrade from WINXP to WINDOWS VISTA home edition! Same problem doing for both OS's! This is LOCO i love this stick and i dont want to send it off yet until my last day even though they tell me to do it! I want to FLY LOMAC BADLY!

I need help. I did unscrew my joystick from the base and fit the thing in my bag and so i went to update it. Well i cant even update it because it wont recognize it at all online or offline. When installing it it doesnt ask me to plug it in anymore it just skips over and then nothing happenes. When i connect it to USB port, i get the installing drivers for DATA IN AND DATA OUT both fail all the time! Im lost!

can somebody tell me more about this? Do i need it or not?

Hey Blaze thanks for the support! My last deployment woohooo:D:D:D!!! I dont know if you know, but you can go to Iraq as a civilian and make 85,000 a year as a contractor! Many Marines that got out, i seen them here! They do less than what military does, they get to sleep during there job and go to PX anytime... its all true too! Anyways about my Cougar. If it worked before when i installed it and it should worked if i have to reinstall it. The latest software i found and downloaded from Cougar website was the same thing i already have with my Hotas Cougar installation CD. Only thing i found different was the updated FC TMJ file for the FOXY. And the BEta 4.2 FOXY! Oh BTW i could not get to register in there forum because they wont let yahoo or hotmail email address and thats all i that i have a and ever used! Im out of luck looking their for help! I can send a email to support tech. Theres probably hundreds of site out there that have updates and download. But the main support site for Cougar should have all of these!

Noooooooooo! oh well i guess its time for me to send the baby home anyways! Ill be leaving Iraq the 23rd of august so ill need to send the joystick and rest of my military gear soon! But hey i appreaciate all the help! RD over and out.

Hey thank you guys. Can i update it with out having the Cougar there with me? Reason why because i take my laptop to main base and i cant take the joystick with me and you know what i mean!:smilewink:

Okay i installed everything perfectly and used it for a while but when i did a system defrag then i launched the joystick CCP and it keeps giving no detected joystick but its plugged in! I reinstalled the program a hundred times but same thing! I even did a XP upgrade reinstall! I dont want to reinstall everything because i got stuff i cant afford to lose and i shoulnt have to do that! It worked fine but as soon i did a defrag of C: drive everything went haywire! I need somebodies assistance if any one has any! I am going to post in cougar forum later when i have time to register! Thanks in advance!

I dont think so in my opinion, because starforce only comes in one program and itunes has nothing to do with it since last time i heard starforce is a European development. I tell you this itunes is a pain, i got rid of it and i now have a Zune which is far more better than Ipod, in my opinion! I got a DVD burner and its external to my laptop, i havent had any problems with it!
