  1. Operation Arab-Israeli War - Round 2: Red managed to capture and hold both Kiryat Shmona and Rosh Pina Airbases. The nuke crates weren't delivered, so no bombing was done. One nuke crate was still available. Blue didn't complete any objective. They were mostly flying air-to-air. They managed to destroy a few EWR's and blind Red a bit though. Overall, 28-36 players throughout the mission which ended after 2.5 hours.
  2. Swapping because someone is complaining about something that clearly has nothing to do with the mission design itself?! Nah... Having the same aircraft on both sides would only increase teamkilling. I've always refrained from doing that or pushing towards symmetrical balance. And that's one feature of many the server has always been known for. Adding the Hind to Blue and the Gazelle to Red is an option, but why? Can you imagine the workload behind that? Reworking FARP's/airbases, editing briefing images, editing briefing texts, adjusting FARP's distances to the TA's, etc. No, man. Not an easy option as you may think.
  3. Glad you enjoyed the mission. Dot labels are off. Not sure why it says otherwise. The mission kicks off again for round 2 this Saturday, around 1900 zulu if you're interested.
  4. Reminder: Operation Arab-Israeli War kicks off this Saturday, 12.03.2022, around 1900 zulu.
  5. They can and must be destroyed. You'll need Mk-83's or Mk-84's for each one. Red would also need FAB 250 or better FAB 500 bombs or S-24 rockets to get the job done. I know, mate. I know...
  6. Hope to see you again in round 2. Gotta get that nuke crate to home base ASAP
  7. Did you try the .trk file from the server's machine itself? I saw you mostly attacking the third Observation Site which is the toughest. Might wanna start with 1 and 4 first (closer to Blue assets and smaller than the other two), then number 2 and lastly number 3 with multiple Skyhawks at the same time. The chemical factory only when the first TA's are completed. After round 2, and only if enough players join, I should have a better judgement on whether I should reduce the amount of assets Blue must destroy or not. Round 1 ran with 15 players at the least and 24 at the most. 20-30 players throughout the mission would be ideal.
  8. The mission features the Syria map. You don't have it?
  9. No. The Mi-8 sling loading the crate was shot down. Other crates were destroyed during Blue strikes at the chemical factory. We'll have to be quick next time and provide proper CAP.
  10. It is possible. I even took them out with S-5 rockets while testing the mission. Just hit them directly.
  11. After 4 intense hours of fighting, operation Arab-Israeli War came to an end. Both sides were trying constantly to get the job done and were more effective at denying each other of doing exactly that. From my perspective as Red GCI I think A-4 players were rather struggling a bit with the aircraft for the first 60-90 minutes. You know, lacking flying hours in a PvP environment. I'm not sure if F-5's were doing any strike missions, but I might be mistaking. MiG's focused only on CAP which is their objective. The nuke bombs weren't delivered safely, therefore, no nuke bombing missions for Red. Helicopters had a lot to do and were very busy, especially, SA342M's which flew CAS, SEAD and even strike missions being close to many TA's. Good to see the Gazelle being heavily used like in today's session. Round 2 kicks off next Saturday, 12.03.2022, around 1900 zulu.
  12. Server News: The server's offline and for whatever reason I can't bring it back up!!! Something's up... I'm still trying. Edit: Problem solved.
  13. Hi, Gianky! Thanks for the information. I myself refrained from including this legendary Cold War aircraft only because it's a mod. Featuring a mod means you'd have to make sure that everyone has the mod and they all have the latest version of it. In addition, I'd have to keep on updating it myself on the server's machine after every update. And if I'd forget doing that while the server's running with players having the latest update, but not the server itself, I'd end up having endless problems. So, it's not the mod or the A-4 itself that are the problem, but merely the fact that a mod in its nature brings its own workload and problems with it. That's all. After the latest A-4 update quite a few things changed and it really looks very tempting now. Therefore, I decided to design one mission for the A-4 and have it run occasionally. Who knows, maybe I'll design another one if the community asks for it. We'll see.
  14. Server News: - Helicopters in all missions on all maps are now hidden on the F10 map. * Operation Disturbed Pacific: - Blue helicopters carrier is now 17 km off shore instead of 21 km. - UH-1's being hidden on the F10 map and closer to Rota Island should find it rather easier to get the job done. * Work on a new mission featuring only the MiG-15 and the F-86 has already started. Reminder: The new mission, Arab-Israeli War (fictional scenario), kicks off this Saturday, around 1900 zulu
  15. Understood. Thank you very much!
  16. Hi, everyone! I've recently started toying around with this mod and it really is enjoyable. Also, I just finished designing a mission featuring the A-4 and I'm a bit unsure of some of the A-4's options in the mission editor. Should I just leave everything as it is? Thanks in advance!
  17. Relax, mate. Take it easy. I've been doing this for years and I do it because I enjoy doing it. I don't do it for fame or to have my name mentioned here and there or for whatever reasons. I don't have a Discord channel and I'm not a streamer, so what should be mentioned on that list in regards of the Cold War 1947 - 1991 server? It doesn't concern me, so it shouldn't conern you either, mate. Please... Keep it cool.
  18. I actually do that from time to time. Sometimes a mission is quickly won by one side and the server rotates earlier than intended. I try to intervene at times, but it'd be rather inconvenient when players are already airborne. What exactly do you mean by war games? Tournaments?
  19. Server News: - Helicopters in all Persian Gulf missions are now hidden (tomorrow's Search & Destroy included). - All cluster bombs in all Persian Gulf missions have been removed. - Once more I fixed the beacons in all Persian Gulf missions. I tried a different approach this time. Should work actually, but who knows if that applies to the dedicated server. - Some warehouses in some missions were corrected. - I'll try and implement the above in today's mission, Battle Over Sukhumi Unleashed, if time permits it.
  20. Server News: The Combined Arms module is a main asset in most missions as it should be the case, as far as I'm concerned. Things are very alive and dynamic that way, which you already know. However, we all know how over powered this tool is in the hands of a human GCI operator. And that's the downside of it. LotATC would be a great alternative while hiding all aircraft on the F10 map from the eyes of the Combined Arms players. I tried that a while ago and it was perfect for as long as it lasted. Unfortunately, LotATC seems to cause the server to crash often enough for me to disable it. No word from the developer so far and with that no fix whatsoever. I initiated a wish to ED some months ago to add some limitations to the all seeing GCI eye in Combined Arms, but that's not likely to happen. At least not any time soon. The alternative plan is the following: - Hide all helicopters on the F10 map. Obviously, they would be hidden for the enemy and the friendly GCI operator. Helicopter pilots should then use landmarks to help their GCI operator know of their approximate whereabouts. With helicopters flying at relatively low speeds, determining their position shouldn't be a problem, or so I hope. I'll get on it as soon as possible. And while I'm at it, I'll disable cluster bombs for both sides. Cluster bombs affect the server's performance at times. It's a known issue and it is reported to ED. Reminder: - Operation Battle Over Sukhumi Unleashed kicks off today, 26.02.2022, around 1800 zulu (not 1900) - Operation Search & Destroy kicks off tomorrow, 27.02.2022, around 1800 zulu (not 1900)
  21. Thanks for reporting.
  22. Not too bad. Still hanging in there. Every penny helps, mate.
  23. As to the prop aircraft, it did occur to me right after I posted the announcement. Red would only have the I-16 while Blue the Mustang and the Thunderbolt. I'll figure out a nice setup though, no worries. I might add B-52's as well. We'll see how it goes. EWR's will surely be there, mate. Why wouldn't they? It will be short distances for sure. Which then might cancel the addition of B-52's. All that will come to me while designing the mission. Things become clearer as it starts unfolding in the mission editor.
  24. Server News: - Operation Prince of Persia kicks off Today, 25.02.2022, around 1900 zulu - Operation Battle Over Sukhumi Unleashed kicks off this Saturday, 26.02.2022, around 1800 zulu (not 1900) - Operation Search & Destroy kicks off this Sunday, 27.02.2022, around 1800 zulu (not 1900) * Work on a new mission has started: - Map: Caucasus. - Modules available: MiG-15's, F-86's and Combined Arms only. - The mission takes place in the very early stages of the Cold War and features default WWll vehicles. Default means that you don't need the WWll Assets Pack for it. - Air defences: AAA's only. No SAM's of whatsoever. Note: I don't think the MiG-15 and the F-86 modules are very popular, which is probably one of the reasons why SeaQuark's KOREA! 1952 server has lost its population long time ago. And just for the record, it was a very well designed server that I quite often enjoyed. And I refrained from including the two modules for a long time in any of my missions to avoid any population shifting. That being said, I'll design the mission soon and we'll see how it goes. Nothing to lose, ey.
  25. Server News: Operation When The Mountains Cry: - Blue FARP has been moved 9 km (ca. 5 miles) further west.
