Threat Codes for the AGM-88C HARM (.pdf and Kneeboard)
nicksmi replied to AstonMartinDBS's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
That’s awesome, thanks! -
First off I must say well done ED, am really enjoying the 2.7 update, the clouds make so much more of a difference to the feeling of the sim! Flying the F/A-18 in the Gulf with the atflir pod is fantastic! Had a slight drop in FPS but nothing too drastic, might need to upgrade the i7 6700k soon.

Hi there Don't know about the set up issues with the X-56, but you can download a X-56 profile from the DCS site, from the user file section if you search the profile section. My own profile pretty much follows the actual HOTAS set up in the F/A-18C! All you do is place the file in I think it’s your Users\Public\Documents\Logitech\X-56 or for the older software Users\Public\Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles. Maybe try the Logitech drivers and software, don’t know if they work with the earlier model though? I would recommend uninstalling the drivers and clearing all the old entries in the registry, the re-installing the drivers, you maybe able to get help online or search the input and output section in this forum! Here is a link to the manual https://www.logitech.com/assets/65324/2/x56-hotas.pdf Hope this helps Nick PS Sorry should have took a closer look at the screen shot, you are on the Logitech software, it’s late and I’m tired! :bored:

Hi Bunyap did a video on this in his on the range series, it’s an old video but still relevant. Hope it helps!

Can definitely recommend Voice Attack and Viacom, wouldn’t do without it now although it took me a while to set up, it can be a pain. Great advice from Harker, its all about small corrections, it takes time and practice to get there! Try flying in formation with the tanker first to get used to the control corrections, that helped me a lot

Could well be, X-56’s are notorious for not doing as they’re told :) Need to save up for a Warthog :smilewink:

Interesting! Just flew a Case I, after the initial turn after the speed brakes retract, extended them again and they stayed out, even after my many bolters! Mapped the speed brake to the slider which I have never gotten to work properly before, but now it does? Crazy! l know speed brake isn’t used for landings but after watching Spudknockers Case I tutorial on YouTube, it can help with throttle lag on the Hornet!

Thanks Tom, major fail manual must be read, oops! :) Thanks all, stay safe out there

Hi Tom, Ah, thanks for you quick response, I didn’t know that, to be honest not the greatest at keeping AoA :) so it is probably all over the place, will manually keep the brake open at least that’s cleared that mystery up for me! Thanks and stay safe.
