In the Iran, Iraq War there are been 30+ confirmed a2a kills with the AIM-54A . The US Navy Tomcats never had such a2a war like the Iran to show off like that. Besides the four Gaddafi jets. They could have been destroyd with the AIM-54 too, but the ROE dosent allowed it (2x SU22, 2x Mig 23). Btw. there is no missile out there without issues.

You could fly closer to limits of the jet, especially for the younger pilots. A old fashion "A" pro pilot would not benefit from it.

@Foxbat155, it seems you are a dissapointed and angry person. First you wanted to troll with the Flogger eats a Turkey kind of thing (The name Turkey was given by the appearance on landing, how the Tomcat looks like, and not that she flys like a Turkey). And now everything looks bad what is simulated in DCS world. Fact is there will be no 100% simulation out there. The true story, there will be no 5000ft 500knots setup, guns only meeting with youre enemy, the better package will win. What I mean is, Sensor, Weapons, Range, trained Pilots/RIOs. In this case I dont see a MiG 23 win be honest. Poor Sensor, poor Weapons (compared to the Tomcat in the 80`s) trained Pilots well something we can talk about how much flyt time and what kind of training the had. One pilot in the MiG 23, poor visibility for a dogfight, short legs, manuel wingsweep (he has to care about it too, on every change in the flyt), he will be to busy to care of the plane itself.... Well there is no myth about the Cat, she was and is a good weapons platform..... I really like the SU-27 now, with the FM. Took a bit tuning the curves and deadzone on the stick, but I have to say, I like it! I couldnt fly the Flanker proberly with the FC3 flight model, joystick settings. Then I switched over my F-15C settings, was much better, and with a bit fine tuning, it flys like beauty.....She needs alot trim attention, but I guess this is how she flys.....

Sometimes they shoot and sometimes are not. The aiming skill is terrible, shooting way too early or too far away, or terrible off the target, and so on. I can remember a better time in the UH 1. I dont know what kind of update did this acting to the AI gunners..... I just flew the UH 1 since the last couple days again.

Vampire, it is visibility low, not texture low (my texture setting is HIGH). You can zoom in and out, the 120`s have this bug. The AIM9P,M or AIM-7M are working...

no you can zoom out aswell, it is there....

With visibility range to LOW there is a texture bug with 120`C,B. With visibility to MED or HIGH it is gone. I dont know if it is alreday known....

F-4 is a must have! With the upcoming map, a Iranian F-4 would be awsome.
