  4. Sorry, I don't control how DCS deals with connections. DCS is not known for having the best net code in the industry but it's not the worse either and I think they are working on it. What I can do is upgrade the server hardware and connection. That's why I opened the server for donation: upgrade and maintain. Right now, we are more in the maintain range but soon™, I hope to be able to do some upgrades. Open Conflict started as a mission I created for private play sessions with my friend Vyrtuoz and then, I decided to open a public server and stuff blew up including the server's graphic card :lol: The hardware sure didn't follow the growing interest for the server!

Thanks for all the comments guys :thumbup: I am happy that the new map is not a total failure hahahahaha It's tricky to create a new mission that can rivalize with the Khashuri one, especially since Khashuri is well tweaked and tuned now. Today, I am going to work on Skynet and the maps to see what I can do. Stay tuned :thumbup:

It's supposed the be playable but I might have missed some things since building a map from scratch is a lot of work. The mission contains the same kind of objectives and features as Open Conflict Khashuri so you guys shouldn't be lost. Located in a coastal settings, the rescue system has been updated to work at sea using rescue ships. All objectives are here and but some are more or less finished.

  9. Yea I am now working on another mission. I don't post my progress because it's not yet released but I still could post some release notes if you want to be appraised of the progress. Release notes can be a bit tricky to understand when you never played the map but I could make them more like progress notes. I don't know :)

  11. No problemo. Field hospital and medical center are indeed 2 different objectives. I am working on some more fixes and also improving my debug log to include some more information to track this kind of bugs even of you don't use the 'report'
  12. So, from your description, it seems like you got confused somewhere. The Medical center doesn't need repair parts or personnel. This location is a rescue drop off and delivery pick-up, not delivery drop off. The green smoke is here to mark the hospital accepting downed pilot for rescue. Delivery objective are shown using '-tr' Rescue objective are shown using '-re' Some objectives are in both category like safe house accepts downed pilots and some delivery so make sure to read the popup carefully. 'Drop Cargo' will always work as it's basically jettisoning your cargo. Maybe I should actually use this name and call it 'Jettison Cargo'

Considering the amount of changes, the release went smoother that I thought :lol: Still working on some fix and the new costal map, can wait to do a public test session with it :pilotfly: Even with my trackID config ****ed up, I had fun yesterday coming back to the game after a long break. I can tell you my story too: A10C goes to war, 2 brave enemy fighters go for him, their blood injected eyes only see the A10C, not my Su27 coming for them. Killed a F15C ; the other fighter engaged me, we lose each other in the mountains. The A10C did not survived but the pilot was rescued. The end :)

  19. If I put the same effort in learning the huey that I put in learning how to dogfight, bvr and kill F15C, I would be able to land without entering vortex ring state. I guess knowing the phenomena is the first step to avoid it :thumbup:
  20. Yea I am constantly trying to fix problems like that. The only player input tools I have are chat command and radio menu and the only output tools are text popup, sounds (limited because of mission size) and chat combat log. It's not that bad but I wish I had graphical user interface, keybindings, voice commands and such :music_whistling: It's a lot of tries and errors to make Skynet interactive and accessible. :helpsmilie: I am still not 100% happy with it, especially for VR. Also I would like to voice everything but the mission would be too large :mad:

This is typically the kind of workaround that confuses new players and comes back to me as "Open Conflict is bugged ; I spawn 10m from the FARP but can't rearm and I slide down the terrain's slope". But that's ok, I prefer to add MOAR FARP at the FOBs than using a half finished feature that will confuse players. A bug fix that would allow me to add more than 4 helicopters on a FARP without them spawning outside landing pads would be nice tho (like it does on carrier). With now 4 FARP per FOBs, they are starting to become cities ; I'll have to add a whole food, a cinema complex and some parks for the children :lol:
