Autopilot - unable to engage roll/pitch channel
cquail replied to Trainzak's topic in Bugs and Problems
Same issue here for me. -
Anyone want to take bets on how long before they fix? I'm guessing 6-12 months. :helpsmilie:
-
I was just about to release a major training exercise for the Mi-8 for my squadron...and then the patch came out and broke it. Without a functioning autopilot its just to squirely to fly into tight spaces the mission needs.

Poll:Would you buy DCS Su-25 and if so what version?
cquail replied to Stalin's topic in DCS Wishlist
For sure I would! -
I've continued to test both aircraft. If I air start the HSI is accurate, if I start on the ground its about 100 degrees off. Something must be corrupted somewhere. Any ideas?
-
Tested out the Su-25A last night. Both of us lined up on the runway and compared HSI headings. Mine was over 100 degrees different from his. loaded up another aircraft and was flying 110 degrees according to the HSI, but was actually on a heading of 340! Something is very messed up.
-
Su-25T for sure. One of the other guys I was flying online with was having the same issue, he was about 20 degrees difference. It is also always a negative difference. I.E. - the HSI is always less then the HUD heading. -5 to -30. Not sure if the heading in the Su-25A is any different as we have no other heading indicator inside the pit to compare it with. As far as how long till drift occurs, it seems to happen very shortly after take-off. I wonder if it occurs after your first turn/banking action after airborne. The HSI lags significantly behind your actual heading and seems to never re-align properly.
-
In the latest DCS 1.2.3 patch it says the Russian aircraft HSI being off centred was supposed to be fixed. I'm finding the HSI is about 6 degrees off on the ground and then increases up to 30 degrees while airborne! I've tried everything from waiting 3 min on ground to align, cycling nav modes, etc. Nothing helps. So what exactly was fixed in the patch?
-
Update....changed the network speed under options and it fixed it!

I'm having the same issue of CTD when trying to connect to master server. Tried renaming DCS folder...no luck. Tried deleting the mentioned lua file, no luck. Another friend of mine also having the same issue. 00000.000 INFO VFS: Using 'Saved Games': "C:\Users\Chad\Saved Games" 00000.013 INFO Dispatcher: 2012/6/19 15:56 V1107131420 00000.109 INFO SOUND: Come on over and check us out. Our main homepage hasn't been updated to reflect the 402nd yet but we can get you flying. :)

Hi slambo, I don't have time to watch the track tonight but the biggest problem people have is not actively lasing the target. I'm not referring to the laser arm switch but the actual lasing button. It's the same as the nose wheel steering button. Start actively lasing when the bomb is about 12 seconds prior to impact. You can also set it to auto las in the DSMS menu under the specific weapon. If you are already doing the above, I'm not sure what could be going on. Hope this helps.

Any way to start off cold and dark in campain?
cquail replied to emtguf's topic in Mission and Campaigns
I've never seem a campaign mission yet where I didn't start cold and dark. -
Same issue here. I never get clearance to taxi, my wingman never takes-off.
-
Problem seemed to solve when I used the gun trigger on my joystick. Thanks for the help! :) Chad

Hi, I am having trouble doing the tutorial missions. It loads ok but when it gets to the parts where the instructor says "press space to continue" nothing happens. I've tried toggling the F Lock key several times and nothing seems to happen. Anybody else experience this? Thanks, Chad
-
That doesn't seem to work for me....CTRL-W or CTRL R do nothing....my engines are off....sitting at the stop i normally started....maintenance (F7) won't open a dialogue box either
-
Hi, In the 3rd SU-25 campaign mission you are tasked with destroying a bridge. I am able to do this everytime. When the mission is over and I click on next mission the same mission comes up again. This has happened 4 times now. Is there some other mission criteria I am missing? Do both my wingman and myself have to land back at the base successfully? Thanks, CQ
-
At some point while attacking the camp, you get a radio message saying a helicopter is leaving the camp. It can be hard to catch up to it when you are 5-7km away already.
-
I believe thats the one where you have to land at the FARP you re-captured...pretty sure that creates the success trigger.
-
Finally did it, had to turn labels on and unlimited ammo.... pretty hard to shot a heli down thats flying away at max speed and hides in the clouds :)
-
Anybody else having trouble with this mission? I've tried at least 15 times now and can't seem to finish it...the helicopter that takes off from the camp always gets away. My wingman gets shot down 1/2 the time. I never have enough ammo to destroy everything. Heading back to a FARP to refill/rearm makes it a 1 hour + mission. Seems like a very very though mission to me.
-
I've been having the same problem in the CODA misison in the 1st campaign. I did read somewhere in the manual though that it eventually burns itself out if left on too long.
-
It's in the options menu, game play, labels... I prefer it off, more realistic. I go into a hover and start scanning for the enemy about 7-8km from the target.
-
Is your landing gear down still? That may add a bit of drag, although from what I can tell not much.
