UPDATE: It seems that restarting my PC helps with this issue (for now!). So if anyone got the same problem, restart your PC as a remedy and try to connect again it should work. That being said, I got no clue whats the cause of this issue.

When I try to connect, I click on "Join" and then I get a loading screen for 3-5 seconds and it gets back to server list again. Is there a remedy to this? A new bug? Started happening when I downloaded a new version of the game (open beta).

I appreciate the answers, but - I was using radio chatter on every one of my flights on all multiplayer servers I was flying (most often it was 104th and other full switch servers). It was not a mission audio file (trigger?).

Greetings, I used to use an audio file that was 1 hour long and I would play it in my MiG-21 or F-5. It was a real recording and it was very immersive to use it on patrols in multiplayer environment. Same. I've invested more money than you though. Really regretting it now, as you can't go back now, and its difficult to sell it. After I've realised the fix is not coming, I decided to sell it, and I offered my DCS complete package for sale here on the forum, and they banned me for 1 month after that. :doh:

I am running 1920x1080@60hz. No VR. Used to run DCS maxed out. Now not even low or off helps with the power point slideshow problem. I am running 1 antivirus. Running latest Nvidia drivers, didn't override anything. I recently even added DCS to the nvidia and set all to "let application control". My PC specs again: i7 3820@3.6ghz 16GB DDR3@1600mhz ASUS GTX970 STRIX DirectCu II Windows 7 installed on SSD drive DCS World installed on M.2 drive.

Its intensive because its not optimised ie its broken.

LOL-ing at me for using an enthusiast class CPU still today because I can and it works so excellent with other AAA titles and various indie games and early access games tells me you don't understand what this chip can still do, and will able to do for a few more years. I got absolutely no problems running other games, matter a fact in comparison to my friends I play with on a daily basis I run some games better then them on their newer CPUs. About the drive. I got DCS installed on M.2 drive, and I am running Windows 7 on the SSD. Both again top range Samsung M.2 NVMe 500GB and Samsung SSD 850 Pro.

And... what a terrible and frustrating experience that was...

Bought F/A-18C and Persian Gulf map... The only thing I got there flying in the hornet was a slideshow. If I wanted to see a slideshow I would simply use Powerpoint and not DCS. Any optimisations (for Persian Gulf) and memory leak problem on the horizon? Or do you require that everyone of us needs to have latest 5000 euro PC rig?

Hey guys, For all of us who are using Force Feedback flight sticks, can you tell us if we will get it in the Hornet? While I understand that Hornet is using FBW system you would still feel the rumble of taxing, touch down, carrier launches, stalls, vibrations etc... If you make this happen it would be glorious! What do you all think? How are your FF sticks serving you guys? Mine is going strong for years now... Wouldn't change it for nothing. Cheers, Rain

My PC: i7 3820@3.6ghz 2011.socket 16GB DDR3 1600 mhz ASUS GTX970 Strix 4GB VRAM PC specs are irrelevant. Its happening to alot of people around me online that I talk to and fly with. You can't expect everybody to be running on DDR4 64GB of ram and GTX1080ti, in reality only very small percentage of people got that kind of budget to be able to run that.

Since 2.5 release I haven't been able to get a single solid flight because I can't connect/load in to the servers. Even when I get in one by luck or low player count or whatever, the games freezes after 20-25 minutes. From release of 2.5 fast forward to yesterday. I downloaded more then 15 gigs of updates. Some would say you would bloody fix this issue!!!!!!! I sank all this money on mirage 2000, gazzele, spitfire, nevada etc. to sit in the menu of your game? I want to fly and not waste my time in loading screens just to freeze at the spawning selection screen. Atleast lower the price of the bloody modules before you fix your game!!! 2.5 indeed is amazing in the rare low pop 5 men servers. But siting in the menu for 95% of the time does not cut your sky high module prices! FIX THE DAMN LOADING SCREEN, FIX THE MEMORY LEAK SO WE CAN FLY.
