  1. Is this issue fixed already? I haven't been able to have a proper flight time in DCS on populated servers like Blueflag or 104th since 2.5 version came out...
  2. Sorry if this has been asked before, but will AIM-132 ASRAAM will be available for F/A-18C Hornet? Thanks
  3. Hey guys, I have been wondering what are the differences in capabilities between F/A-18C and F-15C in regards to Radar Warning Receivers? Comparison is between ALR-67 vs. AN/ALR-56, right? Please give me your input, Regards, Rain
  4. Loading times 10 to 15+ minutes... after that it either kicks me to main menu or freezes the game. I managed to connect once, and after 10 minute in flight the game completely froze but until the freezing happened it worked fine and with nice FPS. Specs: i7 3820 @3.6ghz s.2011, 16GB DDR3 1600mhz, MSI GTX660 OC TwinFrozr III, Samsung Pro SSD (DCS installed on it)
  5. I got the spring feel on my stick. But I don't feel any shaking while in stall or when pulling g, only when I am rolling really fast. Then I can feel it slighty, its almost non-existant. Will try your settings to see if it will fix it. Why all this inverts and swaps though?
  6. Hello Just wondering when are you planning to fix force feedback so we can fully enjoy the Tiger. I got Microsoft FFB, and I can just feel slight very faint force feedback only on roll axis.
  7. 1. Its not dying, its community is scattered. I will explain. Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 was the biggest community with Hyperlobby where people would come and chat in real time, and setup flight, and browse servers. There was Thousand people online daily. Then, Rise of flight came out, then Cliffs of Dover came out, then Il-2 Battle of Stalingrad came out, then DCS P-51, Bf-109, Fw-190 came out (which were a dream for a flight simmer, full switch cockpit), then Il-2 Battle of Moscow came out, and finally you got Thunder. 2. Yes, its harder than arcade flight games, but this sim got 1 button to start all system, so I don't really know what you are talking about. Meaning people who don't want to learn, don't have time, or patience, or inteligence - can hit 1 button to start the automatic startup sequence of the plane. 3. Completelly agree with you on the map aspect and ground assets, but DCS modules can never become boring because they are full switch. Theres nothing like it on the market. When Normandy map comes out its all over for other flight sim publishers. That being said, DCS needs something that Il-2 was having. Something like Hyperlobby. Developed from ED like a launcher type of thing, where people would meet, talk to each other in global chat, in chat rooms etc. We could see all servers and player count. We could see number of players connected to it. We could have ready up rooms for quick mission start hosting etc. Why we need this and why would this bring in more people? Because community would be more engaged, there would be more things going on around, and its easy to set things up, rather then going and checking various forums around. Before that we definately need a Normandy map and WW2 AI bombers which we can escort or attack. That will give another good purpose to our fighter modules. One day maybe a flyable module of B-17 and Do-217 or Bf-110 on the German side. Already some good stuff are coming to us, 2 different Spitfires, P-47 (which I am really happy about, we can do some awesome stuff with that plane set already), P-40 etc... These are all high fidelity full switch airplanes and with best graphics in the market so far with this 1.5 update we have, DCS can be the king of the flight sim world, and now it kind of is already, but they need to grab the opportunity fully. My opinion, Cheers Rain
  8. Probably the best guide out there
  9. Oh, nice! Thanks for the good news! Now waiting for steam release and I will be a happy man!
  10. Any news about Force Feedback for M-2000C?
  11. People who have been flying as fighter pilots for long time I am sure they can agree with me that you can be trained in "how" you find the enemy. Because you develop a search pattern and know "where" to look. +Your eye gets trained to see these "dots" better and faster over time. Now "jet" fighter pilots I dont believe they develop that kind of ability, because they use radar all the time. All in all, waiting for 2.0, I hope it will be playable, considering how visibility is now, its not playable.
  12. Even on these old camera footages you can see how easy is to spot a plane, not always easy, but for a trained and experience eye it is. But in DCS you can be trained and fly in sims for 20 years it means nothing if the planes disapear in plain sight.
  13. The only issue Cliffs of Dover has is the original development team under Oleg is gone. Now there is just small group of people who are volunteers creating new content for free under a name Team Fusion, and their progress is slow (as expected ofcourse, they are not payed for it, they got life to live). For DCS is not like that, even though we waited for some things for 10 years :music_whistling: I can see recently the pace of development is far faster than it was before. And to see this kind of issue with the spotting holding back its potential is a shame.
  14. So they really do not care about this issue? I had a blast, along with people who flew with me, when we could finally see stuff in the game. And now it just makes me dont want to fly any more, because in all situations I find myself in the air, the game makes me semi-blind, the sky is always empty. Thats a damn shame because this is one of the best flight simms for us who loves that kind of stuff (flight sims), and to see this issue holding back its potential is just a big bad mistake. I have found myself in many conversations with people on various teamspeak channels saying the same, and more than half of these guys don't fly anymore including me because of this issue. To be honest they shouldn't waste time creating PFM for Su 33 or new external models, because this bug is far more important. If Su33 and MiG-29 3d model could wait 10 years it could wait another 10, not being able to see anything is far more unpleasant than 3d model of MiG-29 which is not bad we are used to it anyway...
  15. Yet again, it was possible to see them... now its not, the sky is always empty now, or when you finally spot a plane close to you with your eyes 5 cm from the screen, the plane magically disappears from the screen again
  16. Is there any news when model enlargement/visibility will be fixed and stay fixed? The blind mice game is not fun. I had a blast when they first introduced model enlargement because it fixed visibility bug, I was able to use my helmet mount. Even on WW2 planes now I cant fight if I dont see the enemy, or the enemy right on my six.
  17. Visibility When model enlargement was introduced it was a massive improvement because it fixed planes that were invisible. It was so good I had a blast playing DCS world, I was locking F-15s with helmet mount in my Su-27 and now is back to the old stuff, empty sky... Model enlargement is not working, cannot spot anything far nor close. I am pretty sure I am not blind, but the game wants me to be... Even in WW2 planes I keep losing visual contact with the enemy, even when he is on my tail, its very frustrating. I am not new to flight simming I have been doing this for a very long time and I can tell this is a huge deal. Is there any news when will this be fixed, and stay fixed? I miss flying.
  18. Indeed, its broken again... Cant see anything, even though model enlargement is set on "large".
  19. Update: Since 1.5.2 the trim works like in Su-27 with force feedback sticks. It is awesome! Thank you... Now if only we could get full force feedback support for MiG-21.......

    S530 Range

Can't wait to fly it! Give me only cannon ammo, I am still going to shoot down some F-15's with it!
  21. Buy yourself Microsoft FF2 stick and Warthog Throttle unit, you get the best from both worlds. Once you try force feedback you are never going to go back to dead sticks.
  22. Force feedback trim and force feedback forces are not working in MiG-21 at the present. For the reference how it should work, try flying the Su-27, there you can see how Force Feedback stick behaves while trimming the aircraft.
  23. Also when you trim the pitch in MiG-21, the force feedback stick should move like it does in Su-27. Now, its not moving when you trim it... its only moving in the game, inside the cockpit, but not the actual joystick...
