In the MiG-21bis manual, on page 25 it says: "FORCE FEEDBACK - DCS MiG-21BIS supports force feedback (FF). If you have a FF capable joystick, turn this option ON, it will give you a unique flying experience, and might improve aircraft handling." I got a capable force feedback joystick, but the force feedback is not working. Any help?

Can somebody confirm are there force feedback shakes in MiG-21 when you pull G's or close to stall?

I got Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. I only feel spring effect on the stick (the joystick centers when my hand is on it). Am I missing something?

Hey guys, I just bought MiG-21, I am wondering how is force feedback supposed to be in this bird? I got no force feedback shake effects when I pull G's. My airframe shakes in the game but there is no force feedback on the stick. Only spring effect. Any help, please? I am flying with Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. Yes, you might be right jojo since it is fly-by-wire system. Do you have any proof to back it up for M-2000C? But, we should atleast get spring effect to the force feedback sticks, and some other minor force feedback subtle shake effects like when taxing on the ground or when we touch down on landings or when pulling very heavy Gs, I am sure the airframe shakes at some points and you can feel it in the cockpit aswell.

I just wanted to point out that these statements are not true for Microsoft Sidewinder FF2, if any of the developers is reading this.

That is fine and I agree with that if it makes it realistic I am all up for it, but please put Force Feedback spring effect for the stick, so its not all loose and dead with not stiff force to it (aka force feedback motors not working so joystick will not center). zaelus right aswell, the stick should move on trim commands like the Su 27 does. Damnit, I really cant explain my excitement for M-2000C, I really hope you will manage to do this for the release :cry:

Hello, As an owner of a force feedback stick which is Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, I would like to know how will it be/feel in M-2000C? Especially since Mirage is using fly-by-wire system. I really hope you will not make a dead stick behavior on this one so the stick feels loose (dead, without motors working and not giving a resistance to the axis movements). And since its fbw system, I would be fine if there is no stick force feedback shaking due to over-g and stall manuevers, if that makes it realistic. But please no dead sticks... Cheers, Rain

I've actually read all of this thread now from the beginning to the end after doing some research on M-2000C, I laughed my guts out. Thanks, fun times... Mirage 2000 is one of my favourite combat jets, as MiG-21 is for some people. Having a victory in any of them depends on alot more things than pilot skills and characteristics of the plane. But saying the 21 is of similiar potency as Mirage 2000 is a comedy. In the end, all these fights are not that simple as people potrait them to be, and that is one of the reasons why DCS is such a great software flight sim platform.

How much flare and chaff is there in M-2000C?

Is cockpit in metrics or imperial? How is the radar in comparison to Eagle, Tomcat and Flanker?

On the video at 2:08 the pilot makes a bank to the left and you can see his loadout. He got 4 pylons underneath the fuselage and they are loaded. They look like A-A missiles, what are those if you can identify them?

How many A-A pylons will we have on our M-2000C?

Hey Weta, It works now, thank you! One question, can we use curves when FFB is enabled? Or the curves will mess things up?

I got the same flight stick, Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. The trim on F-15C and Su-27 is not working when FFB is turned on. I managed to get it trimmed to some extent (I played with FF tune and axis curves etc...), but it refuses to trim all the way like when the force feedback is off. Is there a settings in the config files in installation folder we are missing? Do developers know about this issue?

Thanks buddy, yes its all hype in there, we are not really professional in that footage like we normally are, we are just having a blast... Yes we are really enjoying the 109 it is our plane. Well it is our plane, we researched everything into it, basically two thirds of the startup procedure we knew already, but we needed to watch the youtube tutorial on startup. We all basically come from old IL2, every one of us is in flight simming since before the old first IL2 came out. Half way into it 5th Staffel with 109 as our main aircraft is formed, but we do/did fly other sims (like me: in that time it was lock-on, before it was old microsoft FS, even before i flew 2D helicopter simulator I cant remember the name, then Ka-50 blew my mind later on) Anyway back to details 3 of us take off fine, and 2 of us landed as you've seen in the video, except me scraping the right wing, that one took me by suprise. Third one had connection problems... later we tried taking off and landing with the droptank, she is silky smooth, beautiful...

Hey, Me and two of my Squadron mates bought K4 on Saturday while it was on sale, so we decided in the middle of the flight that we should record our first flight and landing. Yeah....... it went as expected, we were hyped and at the same time, we were feeling at home flying our 109's.
